Easy to assemble and it looks great

looks are deceiving

I bought this for my stepdaughter to get some extra storage and have a nice island in the kitchen. when I did finally get to see it assembled it was just disappointing due to the top of the island. I didn't think it was going to be made of cheap wood for the top maybe a hard plastic so you can cut things on and wipe off with the washcloth. it's more for just setting extra things you don't have room for. not for actually any help with cooking. just really disappointed
