I have read several reviews about how the shelf grates now and are unreliable. I initially thought the same thing after I assembled the first rack. I bought two racks, and I started assembling parts B and C rotated 180 degrees and it made all the difference. The instructions aren t very clear that the Bs and Cs need to face a certain direction, but if you have them installed properly, the shelf grates are very durable and I have zero concerns about weight capacity. I just ordered two additional racks and will possibly purchase a third (fifth total) to complete my garage. Buy with confidence. You will need a rubber mallet though (do not use a hammer) and you will have to swing it with some might. Follow THESE instructions and you will be fine.

Bought a unit similar to this at Home Depot. It literally folded up on my half way through the assembly. This one is a dream. Sturdy, easy to build and looks great.

I need it to help move my heavy duty mixer from the cupboard to the kitchen table. Also move all dishes from the dishwasher to the cabinets. It's small enough to move around the house and large enough to help combine multiple piles into one load. It's not strong enough to carry a pile of bricks. But great for folded clothes. Big bags of cat food, cat litter, heavy electrical appliances. I've been loading all day. Then take everything and deliver it. This saves time. I have two. I'm considering a third one for the garage. If the wheels were bigger I would get one for outside to hold all my gardening stuff

The best choice for home storage

I use this shelf to organize my utility room. Various infrequently used items, tool boxes, and seasonal items can find a suitable place to store them. Each layer can bear a lot of weight, and the whole shelf is very sturdy. Now the utility room is clean and tidy, and it is much easier to find things.

Looks light but works great after assembly

Assembly can be done by one person but is best done by two people. The slots on the wire rack are a little wide, just pad them with thick cardboard. I would buy this again if I needed another one.

Why me

I ordered this shelf and stuck it in the closet until I was ready to use. Months did pass but so was finally ready. There are 5 pieces missing. Now I have to go through stuff to get a refund. The deal I thought I was getting wasn’t a deal.

Shelves cannot bear 400 kg

Bought this to store my home gym equipment. I put 3 sandbags on it. About 295 lbs held up pretty well, then I put a 50 lb sandbag on top...the wire shelf bent and collapsed. Needless to say, 295 lbs is still a lot. Easy to assemble.

Great to have

The WorkPro 5-Tier Freestanding Shelf, Storage Rack is great to have installed in the garage to help with organization. Minimal tools needed and easy to assemble on your own. However, it’s not a 5-star because one box included pieces that would not stay put together - hammering one end would have the other end/s come loose causing the pieces to fall apart - this becomes a hazard. Otherwise, the other units in the other boxes fit as they should.
