Extremely versatile
Extremely useful work surface. I had owned one of these before and got a second one on sale. I like that these can be tied together. Built-in tracks for the includes clamps are great. Spots to hold pens/screws/whatever that are recessed into the table are convenient. Easy to fold and put away when not in use. Can support an impressive amount of weight too! Would definitely recommend!
Handy kit for the handy
Compared many models and decided this one suited my needs. Sturdy and flexible to set up - it’s the spare hands I need to keep work secure. It’s also lightweight and folds up to take less room to store. I’d also like to give a shout out to the London Horton St Canadian Tire - ordered online and it was ready FAST. Picking it up was seamless and very friendly.
Sturdy work table with a few design flaws
Haven't worked with it yet, but out of the box it seems very sturdy. Some cons that I noticed right away though:
I like this work bench
I needed to replace an older folding worktable because it was broken. It was also too heavy for me as I'm getting older. I found this on sale at CT, and I really like it. Although it's heavy-duty plastic, it's very sturdy for the DIY jobs I do. The built-in wells and holes on the top come in handy for keeping nuts & bolts, and for holding screwdrivers. So far, so good!
Great piece of kit.
Great piece of kit, easy to set up, and take down after use. Clamps work well, table is very stable, and has been a useful addition. Has been used a lot during out makeover of the living room, feels to be decently made, only time will tell how long it lasts. But so far it is going strong, very pleased with it. Would recommend without hesitation, worth the price, as we have used it constantly.
Much Easier to Use
Used for nearly two weeks now and found the ease with which it is able to be opened for use and closed for storage a boon when compared to a well known brand of workmate. Sturdy & stable when employed for various tasks. The only downside seems to be that Worx doesn’t manufacture many spares for the table, with the table “dogs” being the only spare available. Pity they don’t make spare clamps as they are unique to the Worx Pegasus.
Better tha expected
Love it! As other reviews I read said, I was worried being plastic it might be a bit flimsy, but it not. On a level surface it’s very stable and feels well made. It’s also heavier than I thought ot would be, which is also a bonus. It’s very versatile too. Really chuffed with it. Delivery was before the expected date and with the 10% discount as my first app purchase, the price was very competitive too. Overall I’m really pleased with it. It’s well designed, well made and a decent bit of kit. I’d definitely recommend it.
Bad purchase from a bad store
You can't clamp anything on the edges. If you try to it will break the table from sides. Table top is only good for holding the object flat. Awkward to carry and close. Bad purchase and buying it from the canadian tire who has the worst return policy makes me regret the most. I will never buy anything from canadian tire no matter how good the deal is.
Super versatile work bench
This is the most used item in my shop, I use it every day! It was given to me as a gift, and I've found it so useful I've bought two from my son for his house renovations. It's super sturdy and stable, the clamps do the intended job well, and I've used it for everything from holding small painting projects to cutting wood. I plan on buying myself another one in the new year as I want to replace my rickety wood sawhorses.
Foldable Work Tables the Just Work
Unfortunately I do not have a workshop with a table for my time to time DIY projects. I purchased 2 of these tables when they were on sale. They are very handy to use and as an advantage over a workshop table, they can be used anywhere close to where you are working on your project, inside or outside. There are small tabs to allow the tables to be held in place next to each other to double the work surface of a single table. I found the ability to buy inexpensive two by fours to place between the tables to provide an even larger work surface to be very handy as well. You can place a sheet of plywood in the two by fours to provide an even larger flat surface. I placed metal rods on the two by fours in order to paint them with rust resistant paint, which worked our well. The tables go up and down easily and quickly, and will stand up by themselves on a flat surface for efficient storing. I am vert pleased with my purchase.
Get them now
I don't think I need to duplicate what is said. Generally decent product (it's molded plastic) that will withstand some abuse but not like a steel alloy or anything. Says good for 300lbs, I'd say more like 250+ but really splitting hairs.
Perfect, sturdy and rugged work table with extra bonus features.
Arrived in perfect condition in factory packaging (well packaged). Using it now to glue a broken wood bowl. Love the built-in clamps this comes with. I only have half of the table up as that is all I need right this second, as I let it dry for the next 24 hours. Was looking at other brands, but so glad I went with this. Would have had to pay extra for clamps otherwise. Love the indented trays, expandability options, and the extra table underneath. Love, love, love it.
Great bit of kit! Light, strong and goes up in seconds!
This portable work table is brilliant, it takes seconds to put up and seconds to fold back away. The built in clamp tracks are extremely useful and the clamps that come with the bench are excellent quality. Seriously thinking about buying another one so I can link them together to give me a great work bench. This table was recommended to me by a master builder who has two of them and has been using them for over 4 years with no issues. He raved about them, after buying my own I can see why! At 99.00 I would say it is priced about right, over 100 is too much to pay for any mobile work bench. Overall I am delighted with this bench and would recommend it to any one.
Very few negatives
The Pegasus is well made and very useful as a portable work table. I have already cut some 4x4 posts clamped to the table and it was much easier working at a height of 32 inches than on the ground. The clamps hold the work firmly. Here are the negatives I have found. 1. The table doesnt have a carrying handle, so you have to carry it under one arm. 2. There is no convenient way to hang it on a wall. I finally placed two dowels through the dog holes and attached the dowels to a 2x4 on the wall. 3. In order to cut wood lengthwise (ripping wood), you need to buy some dog bench clamps to hold the work down on the table. It would have been nice if the provided clamps would fit through the bench dog holes. Some clamps allow you to remove one end, place it through a 3/4 inch dog hole and reassemble the clamp.
OK, but not great
The table has dog holes for bench dogs that allow custom clamping at 90 and 45 degree angles. That sounds great, and would be if the table were flat.
Clamps need improvement
I've owned my Worx Pegasus for about 2 months. It has already helped with two projects. The clamps perform better than some reviews would have you believe, but they are not great quality. I left the table outside in the rain after it was covered with sawdust and other shreds. After a light rain the clamps already started to rust. To make matters worse, one of the clamps has already started to crack on the rubber grip. Unacceptable after such a short amount of use for a $100+ product. They do a nice job of holding onto pieces of wood. I haven't had one release or lose its grip while dealing with them. They can still mar a project, so keep that in mind. The table itself is easy to set up. I don't have a dedicated indoor space, so this is important to me. It takes more time to pull it out than it does to set it up. You fold each side out (watch your fingers/hands in the middle piece) and push down the bottom supporting piece. Done! So far I've used it as a base for sanding, cutting, staining, and drilling. It takes my 50 pound sliding miter saw with no problem and is stable enough where I don't worry about using it (while clamped) on the table.
Near perfect table
I agree with a previous review that said buy it and you won't regret it. The Pegasus is used nearly daily in my house. We have two and use it for cutting, sanding, amongst other things that are so much better at an ergonomic height than working dangerously on the ground.
This is one bad ass portable table!
Well built, sturdy, easy set up, easy fold up, easy carry, clamps work great and beautifully priced makes this a perfect addition to your work table regimen. I cut to size 20 plywood 4 x 4 sheets using supplied clamps to underside of table. Don't really understand why some users complain about clamping ability. Not 1 board slipped. Made cutting using my Ridgid 7 1/4 cordless saw a piece of flipping cake! I used my clamps removed from tracks and clamped boards vertically. Piece of cake. Then I used it as my miter saw stand for a Ridgid 7 1/4 cordless miter saw. Using clamps and the dogs together kept the saw secured to the table. Also secured my Rockwell bladerunner 2 and remained solid even doing rip cuts in laminate. This is the table you want 2 of. Especially if your working with plywood or long boards. I would forego the Sidekick table and spend your money on the Pegasus. While the sidekick will be a table I will use mostly as a platform for my Bladerunner, it definitely is overshadowed by the Pegasus. Even though I've seen 1 or 2 other portable tables from other companies for maybe $70 less if you go by full retail, I can't see them being anywhere near as good of value as the Pegasus. Go to Lowes and ask them to set 1 up for you. Once convinced, come back here and snag yourself 1 badass portable work table! Signed One flipping happy handyman!
