I have other rugs by Safavieh and have always been happy! This one is perfect, made well and is beautiful.... One of my favorite rugs I have purchased over the years.

Beautiful but poor quality

I bought this rug from Lowe's in May of 2015. I love this rug, exactly what I wanted, great pattern, lovely soft plush wool. After a month or so I was alarmed by how much fibre came out of the rug each time I vacuumed it, I contacted Safavieh and was told this was normal for the first few months. I'll sum this review up with - I now have a flat rug with bare spots where the carpet backing can be seen. I still love this rug every time I see it for sale on line, but I'll never buy Safavieh again.

I love the look of this rug! So pretty and adds a nice element to the room without overpowering! I truly felt like an interior designer when I added this rug, BUT! It sheds like crazy!!!! I use it for a yoga space and my mat and tights are covered in tiny fibers. When I vacuum it, the container fills within 3-4 minutes. So!! If you are planning on laying on the rug I would think twice! Under stuff it would be amazing! Thick!

Well made. Design is centered. The blue is hard to describe. It’s not a blue gray, not light blue but sometimes kind of a blue green gray. I’m making it work as the gold and white pattern works well. I don’t dislike it as I would not keep it if that were the case. It’s thick and I have a rug pad under it.

Shedding wool area rug

This is just an update on my purchase of this rug I made in 2015. It looked really nice,but now in 2022 it still sheds terribly,and now has a worn spot where my husband sits. I would not recommend this area rug due to the shedding. It's really bad. I'll never purchase a wool rug again.

Purchased the 7 foot round for under a small bistro table in the kitchen. It is so soft underfoot and think it will keep our toes warm this winter. It does shed a bit the first few weeks but it didn't bother me and love that it is a wool rug. Very pleased and reasonably priced for wool!

The colors in this rug are subtle but light and add an inviting feel to my front entry! Initially there were small fibers that released but that stopped after a few vacuums. The pile is not too thick as to inhibit the opening of the front door.

Rug delivered

My rug arrived earlier than I expected and in good condition. It is a nice rug but much darker than I expected, referring to the photo. It's not the colors I would have chosen.

Great rug

This rug is very lush and comfortable. The colors are true to what I saw on line. Since it is wool, it does shed a bit, but I love it.

Shedding never stops-reviewed 1 year later

After a year of having this rug, what can I say about this rug? Well it's beautiful and I loved it at first. I immediately noticed it sheds a bunch when I first got it and I figured okay, this is a brand new rug and this is to be expected. Unfortunately it's a year later and this rug is the reason my house is constantly a mess. It sheds constantly! I will have just vacuumed it and that same day there are the pieces of it everywhere again. If you like to keep a clean home do yourself a favor and skip this rug no matter how tempting it may be.

beautiful rug, sheds alot

very High quality, great price, beautiful colors and fits great in our room. This rug sheds badly and I have to vacuum it daily. The fibers are all over my dog and our pants and feet. I hope this goes away.

Pleasantly Pleased

Very well made - nice thick pile but not too thick - has not shed much and didn't have a new rug odor for long - just about a day or two. Color is exactly what I was looking for - more on the blue/light sage shade. For the price and for being wool, you can't beat the price.

Colors were not as vibrant as I would have liked. Nice quality though.

Wool Rug

This rug is perfect. Good quality, not thin like many other rugs. It is wool so it does shed at first but once you vacuum it a few times most of the shedding is gone. After a little more time I am sure the shedding will stop entirely.

Almost a year after unrolling this rug, it still sheds an entire bag-less vacuum bin worth of tiny short hairs every time I vacuum it - it cannot be sat or played on without covering the user. That said, it's a good looking rug and has held up well.

Thick and true to color in photos

Nice the first few years...

We bought this carpet about five years ago. It's very soft, cozy and the colours are true to the photo. It shed like crazy the first year, and continues to shed even today. We have a young son and a cat, and this carpet has bit the biscuit! Not durable for high traffic areas. I had hoped for more longevity out of a wool rug, but for the price, it was decent while it lasted.
