Space saver

We had a lot of dead space in our closet given how the racks had been hung. I was previously using a shoe shelf that was just two high and as every time I looked at the closet, I knew there had to be a better option. This was just tall enough and not too wide to fit between the wall and the post from the rack. It is attractive enough, allows for stuff to be on the shelf and wasn't overly complicated to put together. Although I wasn't paying attention and almost had together when we had to take it apart again to reverse one of the sides. I can fit three pairs of my shoes across but my husband can only fit 2-1/2. But we have more vertical storage than before so it's a win.

**DO NOT BUY FOR STORING NIKES ESP HIGHTOPS, EVEN LOW TOPS ARE TOO WIDE TO FIT 3 ACROSS**

Nice and solid. The side hooks are a nice touch, and the wood top is well finished. I wish it were a couple of inches wider—for large shoes, like men’s size 12, it’s a real squeeze to fit three full pairs per row: you have to shimmy out the pair you want instead of just picking it up easily.

shoeplace with nice wooden top

we are very happy with this piece and would recoomend it. it is slim enough but tall enough to hold many pairs of shoes and has a nice eiche top so matches the floor! just do not expect it to be bery stable as it is made of slim metal, which is nice as it does not add too much of heaviness into the space. overall we would buy it again!

Beautiful, and great design!

I love my new Yamasaki show rack. Not only is it extremely functional, it's beautiful to look at too! Lovely wood tone, and the extra height makes all the difference. Great design!

Wobbly but looks nice

The shoe rack looks great aesthetically but it's wobbly unless it is fully filled, and even then it is not great. We decided to keep it only because it's a pain to disassemble it and return it, plus I had a promo code and got it cheaper than the list price. It arrived packaged well. I'm sure someone who is more handy could fiddle with it, add washers or reinforcement to the back, etc. to fix the wobbling, but I'm not handy. For $100+, I expected better quality than Ikea. I didn't notice this in any of the reviews on this site, but a lot of Amazon reviews for the same item state it wobbles.

Nicely designed and functional shoe rack. I like the extra hooks that can be placed on the side to hang miscellaneous items, such as a small umbrella in my case. Only thing is that one of the E screws was missing but thank heavens for the extra one that was included.

Only for flat shoes, not ankle boots and heels

It was packaged and made very well, but only suitable if you wear shoes like tennis shoes, flats, and loafers. I wasn't really able to put shoes like Doc Marten boots or ankle boots into each of the "levels" because they were too narrow. A little disappointed at the limited functionality with the high price of the shoe rack.

It is good quality compared to other similar pieces I found online. It should have been easy to put together, but I did manage to put the ends on the wrong way 3 times. What should of been a 30 min job took 90 minutes. I really wish furniture companies would put more effort into crafting better instructions.

Good but needs space for boots.

Good design. It fits a lot of shoes. One design change I believe should be made is the first row should be a bit higher than the rest of the rows to fit boots. Also including more than just two of the side hooks would be nice. Overall, it’s a nice product, aesthetically pleasing and it holds a lot of shoes.

Simple, Beautiful, Functional

This shoe rack is minimalist, high-quality and serves its purpose perfectly. I left the bottom rack off so there was room for taller boots to sit on the floor underneath the rack. I wear size 11 shoes and I can fit 3 pairs on each rack snugly. I keep the rack in my closet and I've freed up a lot of floor space that was previously covered in pairs of shoes. It took less than 5 minutes to put together. Solid product

Great Shoe Rack

This is a nice piece, easy to assemble and looks great. I'm pretty sure the wood top is some kind of laminate but it looks nice enough. It fits shoes well, we have some size 12s and those fit fine! The shelves are a little too short for boots like blundstones. Overall would recommend though it's a little pricey.

Piece of cr@p

Very disappointed! In the description it says wood and metal. I just received it and is is clearly not wood. It is some sort of laminated fake wood stuff and arrived with large damaged crushed corner. It is very cheaply made for being sorta pricey. Also the directions are in Chinese or some other Asian language. I will likely return or ask for a deep discount. Not worth the money.

This shoe rack is just what I expected: simple, clean, easy to assemble. I also appreciate how little packaging there was, so there's less waste. The only thing I realized after purchasing is that the price point is lower on Amazon (!)...really wish I would've double-checked that. While I love Food52, some things are just not worth paying the extra ~$40 in upcharging ($25.18) and shipping (free at Amazon & $9 here). Either way, great product and I always love everything from function to style from Yamazaki Home!
