Was dented and screws were not lined up. My husband spent a lot of time putting this together. Would not recommend purchasing this shed. however, I was pleased with Wayfair. They were happy to return, or replace. the customer service was great.
The end result is great, getting there is hard
Looks great and works well but the instructions are tough to understand and it is extremely complicated to put together. It is very easy to round out the crews if you are not careful. There is an option to get it built for you, which i would have recommended but that costs almost as much as the shed itself! So i don’t know… but once its built… its great!
Terrible quality
The quality of the material in this shed is terrible. The shed arrived with some bent pieces but I pushed ahead with assembly. Assembly was going fine until the frame rails all started to twist at once. Mind you, this was with an assist. Once things start to bend, there is no going back. Assembly become impossible without the help pf another couple people to keep the 4 corners upright. The metal quality of the frame rails is just a notch above tin foil. Just horrible.
If there is one thing I can say about this thing is DON’T BUY IT ! Putting this Chinese thing together is a pain in the a. Nothing makes sense on the instructions they make you put panels on and then 3 steps later they tell you to remove some of the screws to place the next panel in behind WHAT You couldn’t explain that in previous steps , so you are doing the job twice. Garbage I wouldn’t buy it again, even if it was easier to put together it’s still flimsy as heck once it is together . Do yourself a favour and buy a Rubbermaid . Good luck
Arrow YardSaver 4' x 10' shed
Ordered May 9; received at local store on May 22. Box was in pretty good shape. Many of the pieces had rubbed together in spite of paper between pieces, causing marks. Some of the pieces were bent a little. I was very careful to build a square, flat base to build the shed on. In spite of this, some of the holes needed a bit of persuasion to line up and insert the screw. One diagonal door brace was too short. I called Arrow Sheds and they shipped out a replacement. The kit had extra screws, bolts, and nuts, which I was thankful for. Strangely, there were 4 extra structural pieces and 2 extra trim pieces. I am happy with the looks. The shed seems quite sturdy.
Good buy for small spaces
The best advice is to take your time. The directions leave much to be desired and could use more detail with a revision. You Tube has a couple of videos that were helpful. Double and Triple check your structure is square. Buy extra foil tape for the joints for water resistance. Overall good storage for a limited amount of available space.
[Rewarded Review] Garbage and still charged
I returned the item as soon as I received it because the pictures of it were very misleading. It has to be bolted to the side of a house and it does not have any flooring on it so I would have had to build flooring for it and that’s a lot of money to spend on a little tiny shed and then still have to do so much work on it and attach it to my house. Then when I returned it, they charged me $100 for delivery so I had to bring that heavy box back and a pallet and I was still out $100. Very dissatisfied.
It's Fine, it does the job.
It's fine. It was the only shed I could find for my specific need. The latch/hardware almost immediately broke off.
The item is poor quality and is not as big as advertised. It is not 4x10. It is only 9’8”. The thing is a pain to put together and I’ve put together large wooden play sets before. The holes don’t line up. The instruction diagrams are blurry. This thing is a wreck. Please do not buy this. I am asking for a return due to the false advertisement of the size and Wayfair will do a return but wants me to pay the 140 in shipping. I’m disputing this charge with my credit card company. Hopefully the consumer will be protected in the scenario.
Yardsaver® Steel Storage Shed, 4 ft. x 10 ft. headaches
The instructions with this product SUCK. Confusing and incomplete, woefully lacking in pertinent illustrations connected to steps. Metal is of poor quality/thickness, as is the finish which did not extend around edges or inside of holes already in panels and parts. Doors were made of individual odd parts and ended up being not square and sprung causing misalignment in frame = doors don't match and don't seal. Hinges could not be of porrer quality and don't appear to be an item that will last for long. WILL NOT BUY THIS COMPANY'S PRODUCT AGAIN. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Poor quality, buy something else
Instructions are not at all helpful with assembling this shed. When I finished there's a gap of about 1.5 inches of panelling missing where the top piece on the back-side should fold over the roof peak and attach to the roof slat. This took a bit over 7 hours to assemble as well!!! 😡 I do not recommend this brand
Terrible design, support, and manual
The assembly instructions are extremely lacking. The design of the siding is terrible. Lots of rust on mine. Mfr support = a one star. Buy a different version or build your own. Would be cheaper and take a lot less time and probably no rust holes.
Great Shed
I am so in such awe over this SHED. It almost puts itself together. The instructions were so easy to follow my son was able to understand them. The two of us put this great shed together in just 18 hours. I still can't believe how strong this shed is when it is all done WOW TRULY A GREAT SHED. I would buy it again for sure. PERFECT.
sturdy
instructions were a nightmare. it took two people 8 hrs to assemble. there were no extra screws, so hopefully you don't drop any! seriously ... once all sides were put together it seems fairly sturdy. I like how the roof rolls down to the side, adds extra weatherproofing against rain and looks nice. some parts of the construction seem less than ideal and the included tape was kind of a joke, and until it gets squared, the doors aren't closing. hope that fixes itself, bc that's a big issue imo
My husband has been struggling for 3 days so far trying to put this shed together. The instructions say to attach something and then once it’s attached, you have to constantly remove what you’ve already put together in order to advance to the next step…. Continuously. We don’t recommend this shed. For the money spent, it’s much too difficult to put together (and my husband is a wiz when it comes to putting things together). I estimate at least another 2-3 days before he’ll be finished with it. That’s ridiculous!
Words can’t describe how disappointed I am with this shed. Multiple pieces were missing from the box and multiple panels and trim pieces had the paint rubbed off in the box. Communication during shipping left much to be desired as well. It took me 8 hours to assemble by myself, spread out over multiple days since I had to wait for the manufacturer to ship me the missing parts. The drawings in the instruction book are very ambiguous, which accounted for considerable extra time. For not much more money, I could have bought lumber and stick built a shed of comparable size and had way less headaches.
Cons Well all the previous evaluations were dead on spot instructions are poorly designed and reproduced. It’s even hard to make out sometimes what parts there talking about and some instructions are missing completely. I say Use your instincts. Assembly close to the end holes do not align. I’ve used longer screws (12 in) and it did the trick.
Not worth your time or your money
This product is time consuming, lacks clear instructions, and you can not construct this by yourself. It comes in pieces, and ehen I say pieces, I don’t mean put A in C, then B over top. No. You get this piece by piece in strips. And, You get pencil drawn pictures and its your best guess what goes where. The material is very flimsy as well, and does not make a very sturdy storage shed. If the person that helps you is your spouse, you better apologize before you start and/or have a dovorce lawyer because this is that frustrsting to put together.
Chintzy af, time consuming!
This would be impossible to build solo, you NEED at least two people. The emotional stress and frustration while building definitely made it a painful 8 hours to build. Not sure it was worth the money. If lumber prices weren't so crazy we would have built something ourselves but here we are.
Perfect! Takes two people a day to assemble. I used treated 4x4s for the base with ply for the flooring. Things to be careful about - when putting the studs in make sure they go in the right way with the holes with the larger spacing at the right end. We got some of these mixed up as the instructions are not too clear on this and then ended up having to drill holes in the metal - which is also not too painful if you have the drill bit for it. Having the studs going the right way also helps with the shelving installation inside the shed. I used scrap wood that I had lying around for the shelving and cut out triangles for the shelf brace and used 1.5 machine screws with nuts for holding them within the studs. Again needs a drill to drill through the wood and studs
