The towel is velour soft one one side and terry cloth absorbent on the other side..Most towels say they are and arent but i give this one a high five.

They're huge and very absorbent

I bought 2 of these for my husband and myself. We've only used them for a couple months, but they are still nice and soft. We like that they are large beach towels. As average-sized adults, most beach towels were too short for us.
Okay Towel for My Lounge Chair
I must have received a Different towel! My Beach towel feels like a regulat towel, just longer. It is NOT thick and plush. It will work for what I bought it for, to put on my long Balcony Lounge chair when I am out there. The arms on my chair get hot when in the sun.
