overall, A quality product...don't understand the "foot traffic" comment in the product description i.e. Reinforced Rice Paper: Crafted with tough, fiber-reinforced washi rice paper, this shoji door kit allows diffused natural light to filter through while ensuring your privacy. The extra strong rice paper stands up to regular usage and foot traffic.
looks good and easy to install.
Love these doors only problem I had 1 door the rice paper was slightly ripped.
Excellent service. Nice staffs. Thank
Haven't put together yet but looks super easy and materials are solid, heavy duty and better than expected, the delivery guys were great and helped me unpack enough to check for any damage, the rice paper is thicker than expected.
I bought these as part of a remodel in which a added a bathroom and a closet. They literally make the room. They lend a zen, peaceful feeling. I planned every detest of this bathroom, but these doors are my favorites.

Rice paper peeling off, one sided doors
I received these a few days ago. Shipping box was fine. Upon opening yesterday, I found the rice paper coming off of both doors (the glue was peeling away). It is next to impossible to fix because it’s ripped. Also the doors are one sided. The grid is only on one side. The other side is where the large piece of rice paper is glued on. It’s not good looking at all. Who would install these where only one side is exposed? Pretty crummy for the money.
Good quality for the price.
This door provides both beauty & brawn. Not only is it sturdy, it is super easy to install. I haven't used it long, so not sure how it withstand the test of time; however, at this time, the door slides smoothly and doesn't seem in danger of coming off the rails. I used this shoji to create an extra room in my basement and it provides complete privacy - you cannot see through it, even with the lights on. There are 2 issues I have observed thus far: (1) I wish it had a recessed "handle," which I can grasp to slide the door open/close; (2) I have to step over the bottom frame to go through the door. These are minor issues for me.
I love my Handmade Zen Shoji Sliding Door Kit. It slides easily and gives a beautiful look to my room. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful, well made, transformed my landing. Have to get and install finger pulls.
Almost perfect!
I was skeptical at first because some of the reviews were critical. I was very satisfied with these doors . I ordered two and they came on time and in great shape. I am a Handy man by profession and the assembly of the frame was simple , took only minutes. I have lived in Japan and my wife is Japanese and not only did we find them authentic but Japanese people would too. The only thing about the doors that need to be corrected is they need to have finger pulls installed before shipping. Most shoji door have a routed out vertical finger pull or a small round metal finger pull. You can purchase these and install yourself, if you are the Handy type , if not you may request them before shipping.
Like the look, but the fit and finish is poor....
Like the look, but the fit and finish is poor. There are plenty of gaps along the seams.
These are perfect between our Master Bedroom and closet and bathroom area.

Shoji Sliding Door
It's beautiful. I have had a couple before from Overstock and I really like them, obviously. The only slight snag is that one of the doors is very slightly off-square, which meant adding an extra pad at the bottom during installation. Not a big issue, but it's happened to another set and that's the reason why only 4 stars for quality.
shoji
very pretty. sliding a bit rough. Not entirely square when assembled.
