Easy to stack and see through
I like the flat almost transparent lids, and the large medium size holds a lot.
Go back to the old square stackable shape
Poor company decision to round the containers. Nothing on the shelves since the change was made
New style wastes a lot of space.
Picture appears to be old style Ziplok with near-vertical sides and lid without big flare. New style takes up a lot more space without any other benefit. I put these in the Goodwill bag.
THIS SUCKS
WHY RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD PRODUCT? THE OLD SHAPE/SIZE WAS WAY MORE CONVENIENT.
don't buy
lids extremely difficult to get closed and sealed
I miss the old squares
I used to buy the holiday squares or deep squares, also the long rectangles every year for packing cookies in and bringing to people at the holidays. I loved how they stacked efficiently and had a lot of space inside for packing and stacking cookie boxes. These new designs with the really wide lid and extremely tapered and rounded insides are terrible, so much wasted space because the top is so wide compared to the bottom! And the rounded bottoms make it hard to stack things. I suspect a lot of people used these boxes the way I do and the new ones just don't cut the mustard for that. I don't like how much extra space it takes up in my fridge or suitcase, and it no longer fits in USPS medium boxes anymore. Bring back those perfect squares!
This is very useful
This is very useful for my household. I use this to put snall amount of salad or grapes and even cole salw. The covers are sturdy and covers the container without leaving a space. This was a little costly in my country but yet so very handy. Great for work!
Cracked in the freezer
These are very cheaply made and the lids do not fit comfortaby or at all. I have had to toss 3 out so far. Buyer beware.
These new updated containers are a horrible shape
Bring back the old shape. These are horrible and don't fit in lunch boxes. My kids refuse to use them. They are big and bulky. I'm going to have to find another brand now. We were exclusively a Ziploc family. Not anymore.
A Ploy to Get Consumers to Buy all New Containers!
I don't need to ask "why" you changed your design and shape, it's always about profits. I've used your Ziplock containers for years, as they became my "Tupperware." They've been a great product that I didn't mind giving away to people with food. I feel extremely frustrated by your new narrow bottom design and I'm here to tell you that I'm replacing all my Ziplock containers with another brand. Yours aren't even usable anymore.
Please bring back the old style square!
The new version just does not compare to the old style. Older style wasted less space. Teg also stacked better in the fridge. The new version are just frustrating to use.
“Smart Snap” not very smart, many complaints
Not surprised, so many rated this low. Further research online shows that “smart snap” closures are almost impossible to actually close. Not returning because removed from original packaging and attempted to use some.
I've used dozens of these for 2 years with no problems!
I use these and similar (Glad and Rubbermaid) containers for culturing butterfly and moth caterpillars. I have over 200 containers of various sizes, including 30 of the 9-cup size, purchased in several different stores at different times. I have not had any of the problems that others report with the new lid design. I can't help wondering if people are just not being careful to seat the lid properly- but it isn't hard to do. Or perhaps there are counterfeits on the market? In my experience these work just fine, and are durable. I prefer them to the old design and to other brands. My 2cents.
What happened?
Product used to be wonderful. This new design is so bad. Did you even test it? Why did the product change? They used to stack so well.... and, they used to actually seal! Now, pure junk. Do not waste your money!
The redesign is terrible - won't fit in my kids lunch bag!
Dear Ziploc, Bring back the old ones!
Lids dont close!
Lids that come with 5 cup containers do not snap shut.. I had to use rubber bands to kep lid closed. Ended up throwing out brand new containers. Don't waste your money.
Lid failure is a given
ZIPLOC containers have a short life because of the thow away lids. The lids crack easily. This Environmentally it does a wasteful product contributing to plastic pollution. It would not be as bad if replacement lids were available.
[Rewarded Review] Not as pictures
The picture was for the older space saving design, but the newer bulkier model was sent which is larger and bulkier.
Terrible product
The new "snap lock" lids do not snap or lock. I can't use them for food storage because they don't seal. I have to throw them out.
Not what I wanted
Dislike, not the same containers shown in image.
