Wouldn't recommend Zoeller!

I bought this pump to replace my existing pump. I bought it on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend. Once I got it home to install I noticed the backup float was broken. The pump still needed to be installed because it was raining and I didn't want my basement flooded. So per Zoeller owners manual, I called their customer service number and was told they don't have any replacement parts for this pump to return it to the store. They did give me an RA# to give Lowes for a replacement but now I have to leave my basement unprotected to return their faulty pump and deal with Lowes! Poor quality and poor customer service! Beware!

3/4 hp sump pump

After my last pump died and my basement was filled with water very nice surprise to come home to after work ran to lowes and gave this pump a shot I have bought the utilitec brands before and they don't last.Got home installed this and was amazed at how fast it pumped the water out highly recommend this pump

Shocked

Purchased feb 5 2022. Stopped working feb 2024. Problem with the float switch. It has a 3 year warranty so I called the factory. After about 4 rings a live person answered and spoke English. She was very polite and transfered me to company that does repairs. Again someone answered after 3 rings. Again very polite. He gave me a return number and told.me.to return the pump with the number and Lowes would give the same brand new pump.

Failed in the first year

Bought this less than a year ago and woke up to flooded basement because the pump is running briefly and sporadically. I initially thought it was an overheating condition but the housing is ice cold. I guess high price doesn't equal high reliability. Don't worry Zoeller, the cheap Utiltech I keep on hand is pumping it out the window while your scrap metal watches.

This pump was purchased and installed in December 2022. Worked well until June 2023. Pump will turn on but not turn off. The pump is perfectly centered in the pit and has not moved whatsoever since I installed it. Very disappointed in this Zoeller pump.

Pump is great but get the PVC pipe shown on box.

Heads up. Does not include the pvc pipe shown in photos. Does not state that in the description either. Lowes recommended items which would be needed commonly with item purchase also does not mention PVC pipe. Be aware. Everything else is great but double trip to store due to lack of information.

Not made in the USA but works well and is quiet

Works great and is very quiet! I was looking for a sump pump greater than .5 horsepower, and this one works well (.75 HP). Unlike our previous sump pump, this one is very quiet and very fast. I did not realize how bad the sump pump was until it went out and we needed a new one!

Great Pump, Quiet & Dependable

I like the fact the the pump is from a solid brand, Zoeller, know for their quality pumps. I opted for this particular model due to the .75 HP motor. In the past, the 1/2 HP units have short lives in the wet area that I live in. Another bonus is the back up float. I wasn't interested in that particular option, but since this pump was the only one available to me in the .75HP range, I purchased it anyhow. The backup float has actually come in handy, especially with the frequent fall rain storms.

Great sump pump

I did buy this sump pump to replace mine that was exact match. The older one lasted 12 years. Installation was easy with clear instruction. Excellent quality.

Easy install, and so far, so good

We replace a very old sump pump unit with this one, along with a new check valve. It was an easy install to cut into the existing pipe and replace the pump and valve. As for performance, it turns on appropriately and pumps quickly (moves the water fast) as I expected. I'm not quite sure how the back-up float trips/works, but I trust it will if there is ever a need...possibly many years after I've vacated the home. This is the unit recommended by a plumber who was at the house for other work (yes, it was an expensive month).

Durable pump doing it's job

Purchased this pump and installed it myself and so far so good. I like the cast iron construction, ultra-quiet operation and the float activation switch with backup float activation switch. Operating flawlessly this first month and I expect it will do so for years to come. I cut a 22" deep x 18" x 10" sump in a basement floor to evacuate groundwater that flows under the house. The pump easily lifts the water straight up 4' then a 90 degree elbow through the basement wall and outside to a piped drain system to direct it away from the house. This pump could move water much further than that if necessary. I installed a backflow prevention valve about 2' above the pump. I highly recommend only using a GFCI outlet to plug this into as it sits submerged in water.

Even though the box was not opening, the unit itself was damaged when we opened it to install it. Lowe's did exchange it, but I would recommend opening the box at the store.

Bought a different brand that only lasted two years. This one has much more power, heavier, and like that it has 2 float switches. Definitely tell the difference in quality. Highly recommend. Would purchase again

2 Pumps failed within 6 months

The 1st pump failed within 2 months of installation. The 2nd pump failed 6 months later. Just stopped working. Not sure if it is an issue with the motor or the switches. The pump isn't manufactured by Zoeller. It is made by their sister company, Flint and Walling.
