Scratch easily not under warranty
I purchased 2 of these sets, one in January of 2024, and the other May of 2023. I only use wooden spoons or silicone to stir the food. They are all scratched and there is a cracking of the surface. I contacted All-Clad within 3 months called and sent photos , they said this is normal wear and tear and not under their warranty. I should throw both sets out. I wouldn't even want a replacement set. I will never buy All-Clad again. Very very disappointed in the product and customer service.
Don’t Bother…Save your money!
Do not waste your money! After ONE use using a wooden spoon (which is an approved material by All Clad for this product), I ended up with significant scratching on the inside of a pan.
Lost non stick in 18 months; terrible warranty
My wife and I have only had this set for about 18 months. The 10 inch skillet has totally lost all capability to not stick. We take great care of our pots and pants. After calling the company they explained to me that they do not cover their pots or pans losing nonstick quality as part of their warranty, which is a head scratcher to me, since these are advertised with a lifetime warranty, and they are advertised as a nonstick set. Bad manufacturing and an even worse warranty. For this price point, move on and buy something that is not all clad.
Frying Pan Design
I am very unhappy with the design of your frying pans. With the high straight sides rather than angled, like standard fry pans, flipping creates more of a challenge. The fry pans seem to be shaped more like a sauce pan than frying pan. The quality is excellent, as one would expect from All-Clad. It is only the shape, of what you describe as frying pans, that leaves me somewhat displeased with my purchase
All-Clad 13 piece pots
I really like the look and feel of these pots. I will not use any metal utensils and hopefully they’ll last a long time because of it. The handles on the pots stay cool, the cover handles do get hot and there are no vent holes in the covers. I looked at Hexclad, too expensive. One negative for me is they are a bit heavy, must mean they are solid and built for the long haul, time will tell. I recommend it…
Stay Away!!!
So I purchased 13pcs set less than a week ago. It arrived yesteday and one of the pans has a scratch like someonw took a saw to it. I contcted the cusotmer service and was told that all the instructions about exhange will be emailed after I send photo of the damage. I reveived a response saying the scratch is feom regular wear and tear and doesnt qualify for an exchange. Well there was no use of thenoan since I got it damaged so I called, I got response of associate not understanding the issue and associate swnding wrong email. Apparenty I can exhcange after I purchase my own box to sent that one pan and upon reciept I will? receive an exchange. I suggested they send me anbox first since I cannot pack one pan in the box that I got 13pcs set in, but NO this is not how its done. They also cannot send a replacement until they reveice a return. If the quality of the product is as brilliant as customer service then STAY AWAY — you’ll onky regret it.
Lids dont fit on pans
After a few uses, we have noticed that the lids no longer fit their pot-mates. Additionally, the larger 12inch pan at first was perfectly flat on the bottom (making good contact with cooking surface) but after 2 months of use, the bottom of the pan has rounded, leaving it wobbling on the cooktop. I was expecting more from All Clad. This series does not seem of the same quality as others.
So impressed
I’ve only had this set for a few weeks, but I am so impressed. They are a good weight, not too heavy but substantial. Even heat distribution and the handles don’t get too hot. I also ordered the silicon tool set, I thought was pricey, but now I see why, they are much better quality. I expect to have both my purchases for a very long time.
Poor Customer Service
Do not buy this product!!! I would also recommend caution when buying any AllClad product. I purchased this cookware set for use on my new induction cooktop. To test its functionality, I pulled out a small saucepan out of the package and filled it with water. The cooktop immediately starting making a very loud clicking noise. I thought it was potentially a faulty pan, so tried another saucepan with the same result. I called the cooktop company for input and they said the noise was caused by poor metal conductivity with the magnet. I considered that I had a faulty cooktop, so I tried 2 other induction compatible brands and they worked beautifully. I returned the cookware but was told I could only receive a 70% reimbursement because 1) it worked on their cooktop 2) I used it. How could I know if it worked or not if I didn't use it? Is poor magnetic conductivity caused by inferior metal acceptable? Allclads procurator and return policy are both inferior. It saddens me as they are an American based company. We can do better.
Great pots and pans
"Sweepstakes#" I love these pots. They replaced Calaphon pots I've had for 20 years. They have a flat bottom with a stainless steel bottom surface that seems to help with even heating. They are a little heavier than my old pots and pans but are not too heavy. I love them so much they are great for cooking and clean easily. It says they are dishwasher safe. I have not done that as they are so easy to clean and put away. Everything cooks better with these. I won't cook fillet mignon in them as I still have my cast iron for that. They appear to be able to handle the temperature. They have metal handles that would probably work well in there if you don't have a cast iron skillet. I have not put them in the oven, I just have used them on the stove top. I highly recommend them.
DO NOT BUY FOR INDUCTION -
Despite that it is marketed as induction cooktop, while it does "connect," it doesn't work as it should. So slow as to defeat the purpose of an induction cooktop. Had a new (expensive) induction range installed so had to buy all new cookware. I bought this set due to perceived quality, price and good reviews. However, if you look closely at the reviews (which I wish I had done in advance), there are many many 5 stars but way more 1 or 2 stars than one would expect from a production that gets so many 5s. The reason is that the 5 stars are from people who are using gas or electric and the low ratings are from people who purchased the set for induction because they are promoted as such. When I bought the set I also bought a separate 6 quart William Sonoma brand pot. That boiled a full pot of water on the induction in 6 minutes. The same amount of water in the All Clad pot that is part of the All Clad set was barely boiling after 45 minutes. WS was fine refunding the purchase when I brought it back to the store the next day but they really should NOT market the set for induction since it doesn't work. (It seemed like the sales rep who took it back knew this and said they really are meant for pans, not pots, which wasn't mentioned by the rep I purchased it from or reflected on the marketing of the set thant has MANY pots in it.) Might be less important for low pans than for pots that you want to be able to boil in but not being able to boil water is a BIG detriment. Very frustrating since I had to drive an hour and a half each way to get to the store, only to have to repeat the same trek the next day. 6 hours driving and 150 miles of gas. I replaced the ALL CLAD set with a stainless steel set which works great on the induction (which is what my belated on line research reflects). Buyer beware!
Great non-stick Horrible handles
I bought this set 2 months ago and very please how the cook
Like them, Just don't Love them
We've recently converted from a gas-top to induction-top stove. My sister has had an induction-top stove for years that I've enjoyed using with her classic stainless steel All-Clad cookware. Heat transfer to classic stainless steel All-Clad pans is immediate and precise. Unfortunately, they are a pain in the a## to clean! This Hard-Anodized cookware set doesn't transfer heat as quickly, but the pieces clean up easily and quickly either by hand or in the dishwasher. Overall- I believe these are a better choice if you're wanting to save time in the kitchen!
Worth the Investment!
I purchased the10 piece HA1 Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware in September 2022. I was looking for quality nonstick cookware that would last a long time and offers ease in both cooking and cleanup. The HA1 cookware does not disappoint! In fact, it's a joy to use! Even with a recipe that calls for maple syrup and brown sugar, the food did not stick. Furthermore, cleanup was a breeze. Be forewarned, this cookware is heavy. Also, the extra long handles are not my design ideal. It is also pricey so be on the lookout for a sale. However, I would readily recommend this cookware because it exceeds expectations and is truly worth the investment.
Great Set!
I purchased these a couple weeks ago, so I can't speak to how they hold up long-term, but there is so much to love about them so far. This set comes with some very convenient sizes, so you're not stuff with pieces you won't be using. They are very non-stick and easy to clean, dishwasher friendly even! They seem to heat evenly and cook nicely.
Great pans HORRIBLE handles
While I love stainless steel all class which made me decide to buy the non sticks. I must say that the handles on these non sticks might be the worse handles on pot or pan I have ever held in my hand.
Do not buy any of their non stick pans. THEY DO NOT WARENTEE THEM
I have had these pans for about 5 years. my 10 and 12 inch pans are loosing their nonstick surface in the center of the pan. It is turning brown. I was told that they do not cover that. I have an induction top oven that heats evenly and all my other pans in the set are still perfect. i cook the same way with all of them. I just ordered 3 other pans from them and i will be returning them as soon as i get them. I paid over 800.00 for this set when i bought them and expected way better service with them. I have walmart special pans that are older then these and they still dont stick.
Not suitable for Induction Cooktop
Very disappointed in All-Clad HA1 pans. I have a new induction cooktop and chose this cookware set because of the All-Clad reputation. On day 1, I tried to boil 4 qts of water in the 8qt pot. It took 55 minutes before the water began to boil and after I added pasta, I couldn’t get it back to boiling. I noticed the cooktop clicked constantly while I had the pan heating. The next day as a test, I boiled 1 qt of water in my All-Clad 2.5qt saucepan and 1 qt of water in in another brand’s 2qt stainless steel saucepan. The stainless steel pan reached a rolling boil in 2 minutes (no clicking noises). The All-Clad pan wasn’t even close to boiling after 20 minutes and the cooktop made clicking noises from the start. I bought the pans several months ago in preparation for the new cooktop and no longer have the packaging for return. Consequently, I have several hundred dollars’ worth of new pans that I can’t use. I don’t believe these pans should be labeled as suitable for induction cooking.
A $600 live and learn mistake
As a long time All-Clad owner of their regular D3 cookware, I didn’t have any second thoughts about purchasing the HA1 line for my induction cooktop and it’s non-stick pots and pans. What a disappointment this purchase has turned out to be. Why? Because the way the bottom is designed it does not extend out to the very edges of the pots, so it results in the outer parts of the pots being much cooler than the part where the “disc” is on the bottom of the pans. If simmering or boiling you can see the outer circumference of the pots and pans do not heat and cook compared to where the induction bottoms of the pots and pans are. It means that your food requires that you frequently stir to ensure all parts of what you are cooking gets cooked. Unfortunately, I have discarded the box it came in or I would pack it up and return it. Instead I either stick with it or donate it to Goodwill and look for another set of induction capable pots and pans.
Fantastic set!
My girlfriend purchased an HA1 frying pan set a while back. We both liked them so much that I purchased this 13 piece set. I was impressed with the non stick elements of her pans and how they still looked brand new a year after purchase (with frequent use).
