Discolored on first use

On first use, interior of pots became discolored/damaged. Have been cooking with stainless steel pots for at least 10 years on a KitchenAid set that is in near perfect condition. Glad I didn’t throw out. These are going back. Too bad. Gorgeous set and would have been a great upgrade.

I bought the Calphalon stainless pot, knowing it is the best mark or I dont have to scrutin so hard to remove the stain. To my great surprise all the pots I bought are already stained ugly to look at. I need to have you send me a good stain remover in order to have the shine look of my pots. Thank you.

I bought this about a week ago for a company gift. Thinking I got a good deal. Well I could have gotten the same thing on amazon for $30 bucks less.

Beautiful to look at.

I recently purchased this set of cookware and so far am pleased with the purchase. The cookware was very well packed so nothing was broken in transit. The set is beautiful to look at and so far has performed well on the cook top and in the oven. We've put some of the pieces through the dishwasher and so far the luster of the pans has not been impacted. I really haven't used them very long but so far so good.

These pans are horrible. They easily stick and hard to clean and surface scratches easily. I know it is past the 30 days since ordering BUT i really wish I could return them. I recently starting to use them and discovered how much I hate them. Very disappointed with this product.

[Rewarded Review] Wonderful cookware!

I love this cookware! It heats evenly, I love the pouring spout on the kettles, the strainers on the lids are so handy when draining noodles, the glass lids allow me to see if something is boiling without lifting the lid, and of food does become stuck on the bottom of the pan the pan cleans up like new with Bar Keepers Friend dry compound. I liked my cookware so much that I bought my daughter a set as a house warming gift, and after her roommate used her cookware, she also wants a set of this cookware!

It has a very strange and uncommon looking lid

The kids on the pots are 1-inch thick very unusual to manage and easily can get immersed in your food and make a lot of mess when you set it aside.

Fantastic set

High quality set. I love the draining lids and can easily skip getting out a strainer. They heat fast and are beautiful. Need to use barkeepers friend for stains but the set is worth this step that will be the case for all stainless steel pots and pans. The handles tend to stay cool even when booking at higher temps on the stove top, not like other sets I have had where you can burn yourself on the handle. Well worth the price, feel like I got a bargain

Not All-Clad, but it works well enough

I really wanted to get my forever All-Clad pan set, but I was put in a situation where I needed new pans and had to get something that is quality. These pans work extremely well and I'm happy with the set. I bought a Calphalon non-stick frying pan set to go along with this ( you can't cook eggs or anything for that matter in stainless without A LOT of fat).

Great set!

I was initially looking for a smaller set, but this one had everything else I was looking for. After using for a few weeks, the size is actually perfect. I love the design of it, and it's great to cook with. The only thing is the handles on the lids can get a bit hot. Otherwise, I love it and would recommend. Also, this comes with a lifetime warranty so it's a great investment.

I hate this cookware set. Wish I could send it back, but waited too long. Feels cheap and not anywhere near the same quality as the other Calphalon products that we have used for 15 years. Polar opposite of non-stick. Don’t waste your money or your elbow grease.

Horrible, stained after 1st use

I should’ve listened to the reviews, but I took a chance. After only one use, the pans stained terribly. No matter if I hand washed or put them in the dishwasher, it was impossible to get the stains out. I’m so disappointed as this was not a cheap set.

Do Not Buy These Pans

Do not buy this set. We ordered it a month ago and are unhappy. The pans are easily burnt and scratched after a single use. We use olive oil or cooking spray, but food sticks quite badly to the bottom regardless of amount. The small pan burnt on the first use, making a run-of-the-mill omelette (see photo). Water marks set in one of the pans after a single time making pasta (see photo). The pans scratch very easily even though we sponge wash them (soft side of the sponge), after letting them soak for over an hour. Ridiculously labor intensive and disappointing. Calphalon customer service is nonexistent. I emailed them a week ago and there has been no response. Do not buy.

Not a good experience

1 out of 5 stars You need to be a pro chef to be able to use this "Stainless steel is probably one of the safest methods to cook and might have great heat distribution. But it comes with a huge drawback - that of food getting burnt and stuck to the surface EXTREMELY easily. My wife and I purchased a 10-piece set at a store a few months ago and cleaning and maintaining it has been a bit of a nightmare. Stuff gets burnt very easily, and once it does it is super-difficult to scrape it out

Surprising good cookware

I historically cook with Triply cookware and was all set to purchase the same this time. I visited Macy's so I could hold and view a wide variety of choices and much to my surprise the Classic cookware had enough heft that felt close to the triply brands without being too heavy. This was the only cookware with thoughtful features such as the spouts, measurements and strainers which definitely was a plus. I had not wanted glass tops as if there is too much heat they can crack, but the strainer lid an be turned to adjust how much venting is needed.

Beautiful, but not functionable

Calphalon is a great cookware brand that makes quality products, but this cookware set is not worth buying for full-price unless it is on sale. First off, it comes in 10 different pieces and is perfect for someone whose buying it for their first home or as a bridal gift. However, although the quality and design of the cookware are great, the longevity of the pans and pots is less to be desired.

I really like this cookware

I got this cookware for Christmas 2015 so I've used it a lot. I wanted to make sure I had enough time to write a proper review, using all the pieces. The only derogatory thing I can say at all is that the side handles get hot on the big pot. Other than that, I really like everything about this set. These are all the pieces I need, they clean well, they shine like the sun, they're great. I've burned things too, so even if I see some discoloration from these times, they end up coming out after a few more usages and washes. If you want good cookware without having to take out a mortgage, try these.
