Was easy to work with

It turns out that this product cannot be used with the flooring we purchased, so it is useless for us. It may be a great product, but we will never know as we cannot use it.

The floor is squeaky after using this product

The adhesive strip likes to pull the adhesive side off with the layer that is supposed to be peeled off. Basically has no purpose and made me just use the tape to conjoin the two together

Very easy to install. It's very tough and durable. Easy to cut, but difficult tear. We applied it over a concrete slab and the room is definitely warmer than it was before installation. Works great a as a vapor barrier and definitely silences the LVP floor. I highly recommend this product.

[Rewarded Review] Floor muffler

We purchased this product for our upstairs bathroom remodel. It is a very thin layer but will be great as an additional underpayment and moisture barrier! We are tearing out old tile and replacing with Luxury Vinyl. The vinyl has a thin backing but we wanted this additional layer to reduce the sound transfer from upstairs. It has a flap on one side and self adhesive strip on the opposite side to ensure no gaps, and ease installation! No additional tape needed.

[Rewarded Review] Well made

The floor Muffler 100 square feet 4 foot wide is very well made. The roll is super convenient to use and the padding makes a nice difference. If you purchase a vinyl planking or laminate floor that doesnt have the underlayment attached, this is a great alternative. Priced fairly well as underlayment prices go. I would definitely recommend this product.

[Rewarded Review] Appears to do the job

Looking for an underlayment that is both a vapor barrier protectant and a noise reducer. My plank flooring did not have padding on the underside and in need of a product like the FloorMuffler. Very easy to install and cut. I think it also levels out your sub flooring for a seamless installation. I do feel the slight padding underneath and that hollow knocking sound doesn’t exist. So I guess it is doing what it is supposed to do. So far so good… I’m happy.

This product is a quick and easy way to add a layer of protection as well as extra cushion to a new vinyl floor. It comes in a 48” wide by 25ft. for a total of 100 square feet. The closed cell construction of the material, won't let water seep through which provides a great moisture barrier as well as an excellent sound barrier. To complete the moisture barrier it has a self-sealing lip and tape system. Good quality material.

[Rewarded Review] WATER PROOF AND HELPS DAMPEN SOUND

Unlike some underlayments, this has closed-cell foam construction instead of a vinyl sheet barrier. Closed cell won't let water seep through providing a great moisture barrier and is an excellant sound barrier. To complete the moisture barrier it has a self-sealing lip and tape system (see photo).

[Rewarded Review] Protects Subfloors from Spills and Quiets Foot Traffic

I'm using the FloorMuffler for noise deadening and waterproofing a hallway in our cabin remodel. The floor also has a few irregularities that the FloorMuffler will help to mitigate under the new flooring. The FloorMuffler features an adhesive strip designed to work with an included plastic film overlap tape. This system will seal the seam between two adjacent FloorMuffler pads. I did not need it for the hallway, but I will be using it on a larger floor. Laying out the FloorMuffler was predictably like playing whack-A-mole as the underlayment likes to maintain it's rolled curves. Another minor irritation was the lack of any markings on the pad to make it easier to cut a straight line. But the underlayment worked nicely once there was weight on it from the new flooring.

I just got in a roll of Floor Muffler. This comes in a 48” wide roll. It is a total of 100 square foot, this is an underlayment for a floating floor. I was using a similar product and ran out. This Floor Muffler will help me finish the job. I am putting in luxury vinyl plank. It needs this product to quiet down the floor when walking on or even making it quieter in the floor below. This product is easy to cut and has a self adhesive strip to seal to each other for a moisture barrier.

Not a lot for the price

i got what I felt was better quality, double the size, half the price at a website. I bought 2 of these and returned one after the coverage area was less than optimal. 3 rolls of the other material I bought covered 400sqf vs 100sq of the Hone Depot roll, and I have lots left over.

Great Quality and Technology

I used this product under LVT flooring in my second floor bathroom, the flooring planks already came with pad attached. But adding the underlayment into the installation provided extra moisture protection as mentioned on the label.

Best Underlayment for Luxury Vinyl

I installed this underlayment with the LifeProof flooring I bought. I chose this underlayment because it protects against moisture and helps block sound. The underlayment feels durable, and it was easy to install. I just unrolled it and joined the seams with the built-in tape. It’s nice and quiet when I walk on the floor. The floor even feels more sturdy under my feet. If you’re installing luxury vinyl flooring, this is definitely the best underlayment out there.

Reliable sound and moisture barrier

I'm quite pleased with this underlayment. I used it under a Lifeproof vinyl plank that comes with pre-attached underlayment as I wanted to have better sound and moisture protection. Easy installation, the floor feels comfy too.
