A Different Size Egg Pan.
I have been using six or seven-inch skillets for my daily two eggs for many years, so I was interested in a somewhat larger pan, but not a ten-incher, This nine-inch pan is a real improvement, especially for omelets. The usual All-Clad quality, even heating, etc., is present. I like it!
Great pan, make sure you keep the stainless exterior maintained
Great multi purpose pan, this completes a set of three different sizes. Keep the exteriors maintained to avoid alot of scrubbing later. We use bartenders friend and dawn spray.
Should’ve bought them years ago
I have all clad pots, but no pans until purchasing these. I had purchased a less expensive nonstick pan, which lasted a couple years with heavy use. And finally, I decided to replace it with these great pans. They are great conductors of heat, and the nonstick is definitely better than my last budget pan. If you are using spray oil, you hardly need any to fry eggs or warm up food. Very happy! Will probably buy a regular stainless pan from all clad soon.
Great until it’s not
We are extremely careful with our All-Clad nonstick pan. We’ve followed all the manufacturers directions for care and cleaning. Despite this the non-stick coating is not holding up (beginning to remind me of tfal).
Poor quality - buyer beware
I have been a long time fan of All-Clad. Unfortunately these pans severely let me down. The non-stick quite working very shortly after I purchased them. After reaching out to All-Clad to see if they could warranty them, I was told I had overheated them. Funny thing is, I have other no-stick pans that I’ve had for years, and they are all still going strong. Since All-Clad won’t replace them, I decided to switch to Hex-Clad, which I believe will last longer.
Non-Stick works great until about a year of use.
Brown to Black Scorched Center. I would not rate this Pan at 500 Degrees. I use my cookware everyday so paying more did not solve my problem. I have switched to a Cast Iron Pan like my Grandmother Used Everyday. Season a New One by cooking things with Oil or Fat and wipe out with Warm Water and a Steel Wool or Plastic Sponge to get the brown stuff out if necessary and put it on the stove on medium to dry for 10 minutes.
Horrible- quality has gone down the tubes.
Have used All Clad for YEARS and have several products. Got a skillet almost one year ago next week and the nonstick is all peeling off- I contacted Sur La Table who said to contact All Clad which I did- they were totally unhelpful and basically said nothing they could do. None of their other products have been like this- I guess the latest products are made different. This was my 3rd of this exact pan. None of the others did that and have had them longer. Horrible customer service. Will not buy this again nor this line.
I purchased this pan with the understanding that if you were purchasing an All Clad product you were buying some of the best cookware in the world. I could not possibly have been more wrong. Along with the standard “don’t use any metal utensils” type of instructions, This pan came with a few other very specific rules don’t ever use a nonstick spray and don’t let it get too hot. Both would void the warranty. Fine, I don’t really use cooking spray that often so it wasn’t a major issue for me and i wouldn’t use a nonstick skillet in the oven anyway. First 6 months, the pan was fantastic, nothing stuck to it and the heat distribution was even and consistent. I cooked everything from fried eggs to seared scallops, salmon etc. After the first year I noticed that the nonstick coating was beginning to scar and my “nonstick” pan wasn’t so nonstick anymore. So ok, add a little more butter and oil and I’m good to go. Fast forward a few more months and I noticed that not only was the scarring in the pan starting to get worse, food was now sticking. And because you can’t really use anything abrasive to clean it, I was having to soak it for hours every time I used it. We are now a little over the two year mark and the nonstick capability is essentially nonexistent, it’s fine to make a grilled cheese but you won’t catch me searing sea bass in this thing anymore. Very disappointing considering the price point but I guess I should have done more research before buying it.
Nice nonstick pan, diameter of cooking surface may be key
This is now the only nonstick pan in our kitchen and was acquired to supplement our AllClad D5 Stainless cookware set. The nonstick surface is fine, time will tell how long it will last. We like it except we think the diameter of the cooking surface (7.5") is wider than we would have liked for our omelettes. That's the only reason we didn't give this pan five stars; your preferences may vary.
All-Clad D3 8" non-stick Frypan
It's honestly too early to rate this product. I've only had it a short time, but so far so good.
Buyer beware!!
I own thousands of dollars of All-Clad products. Today I called about my Non-stick D3 stainless pans which I have owned for about 15 years and taken extreme care of but the nonstick coating does not perform any more. The abrupt customer service rep almost immediately told me this product was not covered by the lifetime warranty. I explained to her that once before I had sent in my nonstick pans and after All-Clad inspected the pans they replaced them and I am still using those pans. But this is about other pans I purchased. The rep was insistent that the nonstick is not covered. If your in the market for nonstick buy something way more affordable because you’ll just end up having to throw it away anyway and for a lot less money. All-Clad should be made to indicate on the packaging of their nonstick products that lifetime warranty does not apply to the nonstick coating.
Great until it started flaking and warranty doesn't cover
I bought these pans as a gift for my hubby. We loved the pans until the 10-inch pan started flaking even with strict proper care. We never use metal- only use silicone cooking utensils. Never cook over medium temps. Never been through the dishwasher. Only use dawn soap and foam sponge to clean under warm water. We weren't worried about the normal scratch like marks that do appear after normal wear but it started showing signs of circular flaking chips of the nonstick within a year of use. After sending photos to customer service all-clad deemed it wasn't a problem with the product, but caused by us therefore the limited warranty is not covered. It just leaves a sour taste. We took such great care, by the book of what was in the directions of proper care, I could see if someone didn't do these things properly but we are not those people. Customer service was fast and friendly but will base everything off photos only and won't take into consideration the care you took on it. For the cost of these pans I would not suggest them unless you want to replace pans yearly.
poor quality
As others have stated, the non stick coating does not hold up. I live alone and am very careful with my cookware, especially non stick. The pan needs to be tossed. Do not waste your money. I am happy with the d5 stainless set I purchased at the same time. That being said did not plan on throwing money away on an expensive non stick pan. I don't think I will bother to contact AllClad as others have stated, it is a fruitless endeavor. Do not buy this pan.
Great pans; terrible shipping and customer service
Love the pans; however, the shipping is terrible: they didn't fit in the box; so, AllClad simply cut a slit in the box so that the handle of the larger pan was outside the box by about 2 inches. Tried contacting AllClad to complain: got a brush-off. Won't be ordering online from AllClad anymore: will only purchase when & where I can walk-out of the store and take home myself. A real pity.
Outstanding!
I purchased these several months ago to replace similar pans of another brand. The pans I replaced nonstick rapidly deteriorated, even though their manufacturer said they were dishwasher safe and could withstand metal utensils. What I like about all clad is they do not make such claims. The result is I follow suggestions for care and they perform perfectly after being used every day. If you keep them in a drawer like I do, then place a towel between them. Think these will last forever.
Do Not Buy All-Clad Nonstick!!!
I have a full set of the All-Clad Copper Core and they are amazing. Until you get to their non-stick pans - the coating wears off after about a year, and I am very careful to only cook using medium heat and meticulously take care of my cookware. All-Clad's customer service refuses to help, any only gives their generic response that it is a result of normal wear and tear.
BUYER BEWARE!!
A company that doesn't stand by it's products - that's what Allclad is!
Worked well for first few years only.
Bought this about 10 years ago. The pans worked perfectly for the first few years. We only used non-stick silicone utensils with them. As time went on, they became less and less non-stick and also more difficult to clean. Things like eggs now stick to the pans. I don't want to throw them out because it is wasteful but don't see any way of renewing the non-stick surface.
Non-stick surface flakes off
I had this pan replaced after 8 months of use because the non-stick surface was flaking off. All-clad swore it was from me using too much heat. I found that interesting as I have 8 other regular stainless pans and certainly know how to cook on the proper heat levels.
Product not as described
I was excited to add a nonstick pan to my collection of All-Clad pots and pans. Unfortunately, I will be returning it because, although it is described as being 9 inches, there is nothing on it that measures 9 inches. The diameter across the top is 10 inches, the handle is 8 inches, but most importantly, the cooking surface only measures 7.5 inches. I bought this because 9 inches is large enough to make 2 grilled sandwiches or easily flip two fried eggs or brown a pound of ground beef. 7.5" is not a large enough surface to do any of these.
