Beautiful Baking Dish

Lovely baking dish. Perfect for lasagna for a crowd. The color blue is a little darker than in the photo. I've only used it once but it was eazy to clean.

Emile Henry continues to impress...

I really like the Emile Henry Modern Classics Rectangular Baker I ordered from Sur la table. I've used it several times already and it's very pleasant to work with. The depth is great for baked pasta dishes. Like their Dutch Oven collection, the material is lightweight, yet very sturdy. It is also very easy to clean. Mine is dark blue and it goes wonderfully with other dark blue cookware I've purchased from a range of other brands. I feel confident I'll have this piece for a long time and will get much good use out of it.

Perfect in every way

I love this baker and use it often. Perfect for lasagna or for doubling recipes for a crowd, and so easy to clean. I have it in red and just ordered one in midnight blue for my daughter.

This baker is a dream. Even heating while, easy cleanup, and beautiful. A perfect size for family pot pies with leftovers for dinner the next two days.

Emile Henry Rectangular Baker

I've been wanting this baker for a long time and I finally got it before Thanksgiving. Heated up super well and kept the item on the table hot. Bonus?it is so nice looking and goes with everything. You will not be disappointed!!

The perfect Lasagna baking dish

This is a beautiful lasagna pan! I didn't realize that it was a true lasagna baking dish, til it arrived. Deeper than a regular 9X13 baking dish. Can't wait to use it.

Works fine but...

The baker works fine and cleans up well. However, there was a drip of red paint on the interior . Quality control not sufficient . Not sure I will buy from SurLa Table again.

My favorite bakeware

It?s perfect. It bakes evenly and it is very easy to wash. The quality is excellent. The exterior red color is beautiful and the cream white interior is also beautiful. It is very light compared to my other bakeware.

This pan made me look good.

Are used it to cook Thanksgiving stuffing. The stuffing turned out just right with just the right amount of moistness and flavor. It improved my outcome. I recommend this pan. It was relatively easy to clean. I have no dislikes.

Emile 8 x 8? and 8 x 11? baking pans

Unfortunately pan arrived broken. Don?t know how because it was wrapped with layers of bubble wrap & box in excellent shape. Only reason I can figure is it also had another pan inside the larger & not broken. Contacted customer support, they requested a couple pictures, I did this, and a new pad was on its way and arrived in three days. The pan is flawless. Delivers excellent results. Awesome mac & cheese. I also have the 9 x 13? and the 8 x 8?. They all stack beautifully. Saves a lot of room. Buy it,you will not be disappointed. Worth every penny

Emile Henry Modern Classics Rectangular Baker - not a lasagna pan

The quality and color (we bought the red) are beautiful. It is weighted well, cooks without hotspots, and cleans like a dream. I am taking off one star as it was marketed as a lasagna pan, but lasagna noodles do not fit in the pan. They must be trimmed, and this is wasteful and a bit of a headache. The pan is just about 1/2 of an inch too small to be a proper lasagna pan, which is really too bad. It is a great depth for layered dishes. Why not just make it exactly the right size? We will adjust, and not return it. But we wanted an investment piece -- something that does exactly the job it is supposed to do and that lasts forever. This does not fit the bill. And we will continue to search for the perfect lasagna pan. If the manufacturer listens: making this dish just a bit longer (to accommodate lasagna pasta) and offering a matching lid (to make storage less wasteful--no one wants to use foil or saran wrap anymore) would make this the perfect piece. Made in France.

BEST BAKER

I have a 3 other pieces of the Modern Classics by Emile Henry. They are all superb. I finally bought the 9 x 13 and so glad I have added it to my collection. Even heat, no hot spots and very easy cleanup. First thing I made in it was Lasagna. Enchiladas may be next although the lasagna was really amazing. LOL

Not Emile Henry Quality

I have several Emile Henry products and have always appreciated the standard of quality in their products. I ordered this 13?x9? Baker online and was extremely disappointed and upset with the item I received. The dish had several fine scratches around the outside of the dish with a couple of small chips in the finish. The finish was in my opinion substandard as there were large dimples or defects in the glazing both on the inside and outside of the dish. I contacted my closest Sur La Table store and spoke with them. I ended up driving there and finding a dish that was in better condition than the one I had received but had to look through several to find it. I was amazed at the dishes I looked at as they were what I would expect to see in a ?seconds? store. Unfortunately this will more than likely be my last Emile Henry dish unless the quality improves. As far as Sur La Table they were extremely helpful. The original dish was also packaged and protected extremely well so I can?t blame it on shipping.

Love these pieces!

Beautiful and versatile piece of bakeware. I made chicken enchiladas in the baker and turned out wonderful! I also bought the deep dish pie plate and 2 smaller pie dishes (all in the sugar color-which is very elegant). I went back and bought another set as a wedding gift. Very nice pieces I hope to enjoy for years

Good basic casserole

Now that fall is here and winter fast approaching, I though adding another casserole dish to my cupboard would be good, especially if it's on sale. This one is pretty and functional. My only concern is that it's actually a larger capacity than my other 13x9 dishes, meaning I'll have to watch recommended baking times because the casseroles will not be as thick as when I have used my other dishes.

Emille Harris 13 x 9 lasagna pan

This is an excellent pan. Easy & confident handling,even with oven mitts,due to the large handles. Colors and finish are awesome. Brightens the whole room. Easy to clean with a minimal amount of soak time. Buy one! You will never regret it.

Best bakeware I've seen yet!

When I finally was able to unpackage this bakeware, it was exactly as advertised. My only problem was that the packaging used was tedious and frustrating to remove. Layers and layers of wrapping around the pan were ridiculously excessive. And they also use a glue inside the pan for a label that was also very difficult to remove. But when I eventually used the pan in the oven, it was far superior to any bakeware I have ever seen. Highly recommended.
