The quality of this pot is great. The metal is thick. It's my stock making pot. It handles the job of boiling stocks and stews for a long time like a champ.

The product description really does this pot a dis-service. I know plenty of people that rave about this line of pots but nobody actually says anything specific about them to allow you to do any reasonable comparison shopping against other similar products. Overall, I'm very happy with this pot. Here is what I noticed:1. The pot is three-ply...but the bottom is VERY thick! Comparison shopping had led me to believe I could have a thick clad bottom or a tri-ply construction. This thing has a thick aluminum core in the bottom but the sides are a reasonable thickness so the pot isn't too heavy.2. The handles are low enough to give you perfect balance when pouring the contents. It doesn't feel like my wrists are straining to elevate the bottom while pouring. It's a very ergonomic design.3. I would have liked to see some chemically etched capacities inside the pot but that's not so hard to do so I'll just have to do it myself.

another good size pot for making stock. we use this size stock pot to make fish stock. the small amount is great for daily using in my restaurant.
