Small but worked better than expected for its size. Would recommend for areas that do not need bigger or that regular fan won't cool enough. Works just fine on my porch.

Very disappointed in this fan! Very loud rattle noises constantly. Like something might be loose but I’ve checked things. Pretty bad if you have to take apart a brand new fan.

Puts out a lot of air. Very powerful. Mine had a wire hanging down not attached to anything causing a noise. I just took it out. No more noise.

sturdy metal fan

This is a tradititional, industrial-style fan that should last for many years. The blades, cage, and stand are all metal and the control switch is mechanical. The logo sticker in the center detracted from the good, basic looks, but it came off with some Goof-Off.

Tiny and disappointing

I was able to put it together in just a minute. However, it is not powerful. I purchased this as a replacement to one of Vie Air's similar products, that they would not replace. This product is like so many now, that you have to replace every year or two, right when the warranty runs out.

No oil ports - HD stated it had them on 9/3/22

Very disappointed when I picked up the fan to not find the oil ports. Manual that came with it said it had sealed bearings instead. The Home Dept had a download for fans maintenance where it stated that it had oil ports. I wanted this fan specifically with oil ports so I could keep it well oiled so that the bearings would not wear out which causes a very annoying rattling noise when this happens. Fans will only last 2 to 3 years if they can't be oiled, and are filling up landfills!

Way better than expected

As my title states, this fan has performed above and beyond my expectations for the price set. I bought two of them a little over 2 years ago, and the only problem I've had was when my dog chewed one of the (thankfully unplugged) cords. I just spliced and repaired it, and now it works just as well as the one that wasn't chewed. Very powerful air movers, to the point that even in the dead of summer, the highest I ever turn it up is level 2 of 3. Worth the dough.--John out.

Excellent Fan &Highly recommend anyone to Buy it

My experience was Excellent hands Down. Anyone giving negative reviews don't know what they are Talking about. The one High Velocity Fan I received before motivated me to buy 3 extra fans of the Same Brand. These fans save me about 2 to 3 hundred dollars per month in both the spring and summer seasons off of my Electric bill by Not using the Air Conditioning or Central Air Unit at all even during real Hot Conditions. Remember these are High Velocity Air fans and not like the standard Sqare Box Fans. Thanks Vie Air High Velocity Fans and Fingerhut and Keep up the Great Work. 5 stars all day long

Disappointed

I ordered this fan to use for camping and when working in garage. It seemed to be what I was looking for by reading description and reviews. Upon arrival and unboxing, I liked the visual aspects of the fan. The issue came when attempting to attach the leg support system. It has a spring ball on each side of the fan arm that is supposed to slide and click into place inside the support arm. The support arm has no hole anywhere for the spring ball to go into. Bad quality. Back it goes. Guess I should have gone to big box store for this purchase.

Fabulous Fan!

This is hands down the very best fan I have ever purchased! It is very powerful yet not loud. It offers just the right amount of white noise. The style is great also as it looks almost vintage. It can fit into a farmhouse or rustic decor as easily as it would fit into a modern aesthetic. It is actually quite nice to look at and adds to the ambience of the room. In addition, even on low, it cools down a room significantly, helping with lower energy bills as my air conditioner does not have to work as hard, which is useful here in the South. I am coming back to buy a second one.

love this fan

Bought as a replacement for a maxxair that broke just after the warranty expired. I didn't realize this fan was as small as it is and originally thought it might not be powerful enough. I was wrong. Previous fans I typically use the second setting on a normal basis. I only have to put this one on low most of the time. It is quiet, works well and it does not seem to gather as much dust on the blades and back as I am used to, which means less cleaning.

Far too soon to make a fair judgement on quality, I have not had it even 30 days yet. I bought it for it's ability to move the air ( heat / A/C ) from a high vaulted ceiling and loft down to ground floor, and it performs great. Then again so did my other fan, for nearly 3 years mostly continuous the last 2 years. If this fan performs as well and as long as the other brand did, it will be judged an EXCELLENT FAN!

Just came today. Put the piece for the cradle on (back the screws up a bit to free up the bits of plastic wrap and re-tighten). Living room fan a lot quieter than I was expecting, sitting on a rug though. Moves a lot of air. What I was hoping for. Sturdy, seems built to last. Time will tell

Vie Air 18" Industrial High-Velocity Floor Fan - 9

I am very pleased with the purchase of this fan. It is very powerful. The difference may be in the steel fan blades. Most fans, these day, are poorly made with plastic blades. I believe, because of the strong construction, it will last a long time.

This fan puts out so much more air flow than a typical box fan. The metal blades really do make all the difference. The low setting has the same force as the high on any plastic blade fan I've ever bought. Only slight issue I had is the base was a pain to attach. The performance has been excellent now that mother nature has decided to skip spring and go right into 90° summer days.

Always buy metal fans

My son told me to buy metal fans, not plastic, which are not as powerful as metal. He was right. This fan is amazingly strong!!! It moves more air on low than plastic does on high!! I love it. One drawback...it is loud. Still worth it for having it move so much more air. The price is not much different from a plastic fan.
