We live in South Alabama and it was 97 here today. when we got the fans we put them up immediately. They Way exceeded my expectations For keeping the area cool we have them out doors under a patio we built.

I love this fan. It is powerful and my horses are staying under it almost all of the time this summer.

The fan works well but the box that covers the motor gets hot to the touch. I am hoping that is normal for a enclosed motor.

This fan has been running 24/7 all summer. It has kept my 4 horses cool during the day, and the mosquitoes off of them at night. The 3 speeds are great, and it truly can be hosed off. It is a fantastic fan. Could not have gone through this scorching California summer without it.

This fan is so awesome that my installer is going to buy one. We really only need to use it on low speed. The only thing is it seems to vibrate at given moments. This is our best addition to our patio(besides an expensive weber gas grill). Thank you for a great product.

Recently bought 2 of these for outdoor sheds for my horses. Great quality, easy to install, and they have GREAT air flow. Would definitely recommend!!

Should of purchased these fans years ago.

I like this fan for our outdoor patio. I needed on that could be subjected to rain which this one allows. I mounted it to the wall of our home (block construction) and aimed it at our patio seating which gets very hot in the summer with no breeze. This helps make it much more bearable. I did have to disassemble the motor from the cage to rotate the motor assembly 90 degrees so I could mount it in such a way that it would swivel left/right rather than up/down as is the default design, but once I got it adjusted it works perfectly in that orientation.

This is my sixth DURAFAN to purchase in the past three years, so I'm a very happy customer. I've purchased 18" to 24" fans and they have all exceeded my expectations. I purchased as gifts for my daughters' patios, and one for Fathers Day for my husbands deer camp porch. All fans still look great and are doing their job. I love the three speeds. We are all in Louisiana, extremely hot summers. These fans make being outdoors bearable.

This is a great fan for the barn -- blows the flies right off the horses. Three speeds, enclosed motor which means unplug and hose off to clean, automatically shuts off if overheated, safe and effective.

After many years of contemplating this purchase, I finally bought this fan to replace the cheap box fan on the front of my horse's stall. Wow! This fan moves a lot of air, even on low, and it's much quieter than I expected. In fact, it's quieter than the box fan it replaced.

I bought this fan to replace my other fan after seeing one. I should say feeling this one. I could feel the difference between my fan an this one. I couldn't believe the difference. My horse is going to have a much cooler summer thanks to this fan. Thanks!

I own a gym and we own a lot of fans, both indoor and out. The ones that push a little air are $60.00 and in South Carolina summers you have to hug them! These DuraFans are in a different league! You will get a strong breeze 15 ft. away. Well worth the price and I am buying more.

These fans are sturdy and put out great air without a lot of noise. They are great in the barn.

Bought 3 fans for our horse barn. Well made, easy to install and they move a lot of air. The only problem is 1 of the fans has what sounds like a noisy bearing. I'll be monitoring this.

Just finished installing them and they definitely do the job on horse stalls running on low. Company was responsive and very timely.

Ordered 3 of these last week for my barn. When I first opened them I was shocked by how heavy they were (after using cheap floor fans and box fans in the past). They seem very sturdy and well made, and are very deep, which I think makes a huge difference in the airflow. I do wish there were more mounting options than just the holes on the straight side of the bar - it would have been nice to be able to mount them at an angle on my vertical beams. I also would prefer a "switch" as opposed to the pull-chain. But nonetheless, I ended up hanging them from the front rafter using heavy duty zip ties! (rated for 175lbs each, so I feel ok about that). I turned them on low and they put out more air than my old fans did on high! And they're so quiet!! If you click them up to med or high they do get a bit noisy, but no more than I would expect from any high velocity fan. My mind is at ease having finally hung "safe" fans in my barn, and I'm thrilled that they can simply be hosed off to clean, meaning I'll never have to worry about taking them down and opening them up during winter break! My peace of mind was definitely worth the cost of these fans and as long as they hold up for at least a few years, I would definitely buy them again in the future.

After researching multiple brands and reading reviews, we bought 4 of these fans for our horse stalls. NC summers are hot. We installed them all this week and are very pleased. These fans put out some serious air when on high! We are keeping them on medium for now as that speed circulates plenty of air. These fans are sturdy and appear to be well made. Love that I can hose them off when they get dirty. Also feel very reassured that they are waterproof and are made specifically for horse barns. I want to keep my boys safe and feel so much better about these fans than the cheap (non-waterproof) ones that were already in the barn.

This would be a great fan for a barn but not recommended for commercial purposes. They should specify that it is noisy because it is an expensive fan.

I use these fans to cool my horses during these hots Florida summers. I wanted the comfort that they won't set my barn on fire or be destroyed in the hot humid weather we have. They easily move a lot of air, are easy to adjust, and can be rinsed off to keep clean. They are worth every penny.
