Great Fan, Poor Internals

This product would be an easy 5/5 if the internals were of a higher quality. Unfortunately, within the span of six months, I have already had to make two warranty claims. The issue seems to be that the internals are of a poor quality. Something is prematurely wearing inside the motor and it causes a loud whirring/scraping/grinding noise. The same issue has presented itself on two separate fans now. I appreciate Vornado's warranty and the process for making a claim is relatively easy. However, I am of the mind that the product should be up to par in the first place and warranty claims should be a last resort. Even though the warranty process is relatively easy, you still need to wait for your replacement product to arrive, so you go several days without a fan. The fan has a great design and when it works, it works quite well. Sadly, the cheap mechanical parts inside the unit let down what would otherwise be the perfect fan. I also have a Vornado VFan Alchemy and that unit has been dead silent for the past two years. If Vornado were to make an Alchemy version of this fan, and assuming it were built to the same quality standards as the rest of the Alchemy line, I would buy it in a heartbeat. For what it's worth, this particular fan is not actually manufactured in the USA. Not sure if that has something to do with the quality, but just putting that out there for people who are looking into purchasing this fan.

100% Amazing Product!

I 100% would recommend getting your items from here. Easy ordering process to a VERY prompt delivery!! My shipping said 2-3 days and boy were they right. It was delivered in exactly 2 days. My Vornado fan is BEAUTIFUL. No scrapes or missing accessories, well built with quality and super easy to put together. The whole experience was superb to be honest. I have never heard of Lumen before but I'm happy I do now! Again...I 100% recommend Lumen for your shopping needs.

Works great and is quiet!

I looked for years for a good, sturdy, non-ugly floor fan. Went through 2 from DecoBreeze that lasted about 1.5 years, then the motors died. Nowhere to get them repaired. Anyway, I love that the Vornado fan has a 5-year warranty and the parts are metal and NOT plastic! I have the green one, and it's gorgeous!

Excellent Fans with Excellent Customer Service

This is the 4th fan of this model that I've purchased in the last 10 years for various rooms. These are the best fans you can buy. I've had one running 24/7 for 5 years of high. These are workhorses. The latest one I purchased had a high pitched whine. I contacted customer service and was sent a new, perfect one free of charge.

Best Fan ever

I’ve had this fan for about 3 years now. I have a standard 10x12 room and it cools the whole room. I always leave it running and never turn it off. It runs seamlessly and fires right up everytime. I firmly believe our ancient ancestors slept with this fan. It’s the only way. It’s the right way. Feels as though you and the fan become one as you sleep. Also very stylish, would recommend to a friend.

Love this fan! It's beautiful and powerful. I like that we can keep it in our living room and it looks like an artistic choice rather than a funky old plastic fan.

It's very heavy/sturdy with a powerful motor. It's relatively quiet. I will always invest in Vornados because they last forever.

Stylish Beautiful Retro Fan

This Vornado Air Circulator fan is very stylish and beautifully vintage.More importantly it works very well circulating cool air in our bedroom. It has a substantial weight. I got the white color and it’s more of a cream, just lovely. Packaged very well. The box itself has fun vintage details too.Three settings and just very happy with my purchase.

I live in RURAL…and VERY HOT South Texas.THEREFORE, OF COURSE, I already have Central AirConditioning.( buy Vornado.Already I already had 4 shop fans…but I also wanted a pretty PEDESTAL fan for a West wing room which tends to heat up during late afternoon Summer heat.VERY PLEASED!Should add…with all my Vornado fans … and because I am a 73 year old widow…I am especially pleased with Vornado’s quality AND easy of ASSEMBly!Highly recommend THIS PRODUCT!

Best fan ever

To my liking!

This fan is high enough to reach my sort of tall bed. My apartment bedroom has no window so the air is warm compared to the rest of the apartment. A fan is mandatory! Plus it gives a little soft noise to entice sleep. It can be directed anywhere and it’s easy to assemble. It also has a nice retro look. Very pleased.

I am enjoying the VFAN. It was extremely easy to assemble. So far the fan has done its job, the weather here on the east coast has not been to warm. However, I know warmer days are coming. The color is great. The retro style is fun. My only dislike is that the Vornado doesn’t oscillate. but I knew that before making my purchase. Most pedestal fans do, but discovering how the Vornado works, I think I’ll be pleased that it will move the air around throughout any room that I put it in. Don’t hesitate to make this purchase. It’s definitely worth the extra cash to have a sturdy decent fan. After all, who really likes to look at those ugly white/ black run of the mill fans.
