I got this in the two piece version to go with an older white fan on our patio. I painted it in the ivory trim color and the fan looks like something out of a posh hotel or manor house. Thank goodness we had just put up a nice trim piece with the fan we just installed in the kitchen or we would definitely have to add one. A nice trim molding makes a big difference.

This is listed as contemporary, however it would fit a traditional structure just as well. In fact, my house has art deco elements in the leaded glass entry doors that pair very well with the geometry of this medallion in order to mix the two styles (E.g. the art deco skyscraper globe on the pendant light actually mimics the muqarnas of Islamic domes and arches -and pairs excellently with a star geometry of the medallion).

Love the design, but it is heavy unlike typical ceiling medallions because it’s made of wood products. The millwork itself was not smooth and perfect. I painted it though so it’s not as noticeable. Still waiting on my contractor to install it.
