Excelent LED Motion Activated Flood Light

I bought four Defiant Motion Activated Flood Lights and two failed within 2 weeks. I bought two Lithonia Flood Lights to replace the 2 other brand lights that failed and they worked great, were easy to install, and highly recommend Lithonia.

I just bought 2 of these within days of eachother due to cost and ease of install. These deserve 5 star from me hands down brightness and the look is great and the motion detectors work great.

Works better than I expected

The mounting location is under a porch, framing partially blocking the sensor. I knew the sensor would work when I got close enough, which is all I wanted. But to my surprise it works at 3o ft away when driving by.

I bought this to replace a 20+ year old carriage style motion sensor light. All I can say is Wow! It has intuitive controls, easy to adjust the sensor and beams, a really bright light AND accurate sensing. It was easy to install. My only wish is that they would put printed installation instructions in the box instead of forcing us to scan a QR code.

The light stopped working after 5 months

I purchased the light and picked it up in September of 2023 and hired a professional electrician to install it.

The unit was easy for the electrician to install. It gives very bright light for a great distance. The individual lights are adjustable and can be timed according to need - we chose 5 minutes of light once the motion detector is triggered. It is a small unit and not visually obtrusive. The performance of the motion detector exceeded our expectations.

These are good quality lights, very bright to light up our backyard to exit and take out the garbage, especially in the long dark winter hours of the northwest. High Sensitivity, easily activated. Bought these as new replacements for old failed units less than a month ago. Purchased these on-line, had direct shipping to my home.

Not working

I just purchased a house that have 3 of these in installed by previous owner. The ones on each side of the house don’t work, the red light does light up. There is power going to it as we checked the fuse box and the switch to turn them off or on.

The light works great. No issues whatsoever. However, this is NOT a (pack of 2) as advertised. I received only one fixture so my so called "bargain" became not such a great deal after all. Lithonia makes great products and this one is no exception.

Smart looking and very good motion detector lights

Easy to mount either to wall or under eave. Lights can be adjusted 180 degrees. The motion detector works very well. The lights are LED so they last a long time and are good and bright, illuminating the area well.

This motion-activated LED flood light is great! It is super bright, and I really like the aluminum construction compared to many of the plastic-body ones on the market today. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not fit over a standard size exterior light fixture box. It is slightly smaller in diameter, so I had to do some creative fitting to install it.

Great LED Floodlight from Lithonia Lighting

The Lithonia HGX LED Flood Light is a quality outdoor lighting fixture, from a reliable brand, and the price is right. The light comes with long lasting and bright LED bulbs. Our floods are installed horizontally under the eaves and this fixture has a low profile, which is perfect. The lights are really not noticeable, all you see is the bright light.

Security Lights

We ordered and installed 4 units on the back of our house in north Scottsdale, AZ. The order process with HD went smoothly and the units arrived in short order. I did the installation myself and it proceeded nicely thanks to the previous units having a similar wiring scheme. Lithonia should devote a little effort in their instructions detailing the wiring connections better. Once installed, the lights worked as advertised. The issue with our previous (non-Lithonia) lights was their propensity to fail after about 18-months, so we are monitoring the Lithonia lights for their durability. The sensors are appropriately sensitive in detecting motion and triggering illumination. The lights are bright and extinguish in accordance with their set interval. Just what we wanted.

Easy to install and seems to work fine. Seeing as how it is staying light until 9 PM, they don't get tested except for the initial install. The lights are bright and will do well. The color is closer to black than a "dark bronze" in my opinion, but I guess "dark" is a relative term. I purchased one to see how I liked it and then bought 2 more.

Easy to install. Looks small and modern but also very bright but not the awful daylight blue color. This is 4000k so super white white. The sensor works better from side angles over the front but still ok.

Worked for a short time

I purchased this on line for the garage and mounted it under the eve. Worked for about a week. I returned it to my local Lowes and was told that it was a special order and that there was a restocking fee of 20%. Should have told me upfront. With the way these motion activated lights fail, they are almost guarenteed the restocking fee.

Great lights

We got one light installed right away. It works great! The second one is waiting for our weather to improve. They are replacing existing lights. Simple installation. Well be ordering a 3rd soon.
