Excellent work bench. I am planning to build one in my basement. The other one is in the garage. Very strong with a 3/4” plywood top I had cut to size at Home Depot.

As someone who has a goal of trying to clean up his work area, this bench will certainly help. The frame is easy to put together. My only issue on that since the screws are placed in pre -drilled holes in the corner frames, it is difficult to adjust. My bench was to go in a pretty tight location and this made it difficult to attach on leg as well as the others, (bad angle for my drill). I toenailed the boards from the other side and it was fine. Also the shelf between the top and bottom shelves is only about 22 inches. It would better server to perhaps be a little more higher. Overall, though, very happy with this product at a very reasonable price.

Great product to make a sturdy workbench!

Just buy 2 x 4’s and plywood and assemble a really sturdy workbench in about an hour. I’ve bought three of these already and am planning on purchasing two more. Highly recommended and even more functional when you pair it with the 2 x 4 Basics shelf brackets (purchased elsewhere).

Pro: sturdy legs for a table, one person assembly (with c-clamps), looks good Con: the screws supplied are a joke, had to scrape off extra resin left from the molding process . Great for hobby table or storage

I wanted a sturdy work bench for my garage. I researched online for a few weeks and I decided to purchase this work bench kit and I'm glad I did. It's a great feature that you can make the bench any size you need up to 8 feet long. I made mine 6 feet long and 30 inches wide, to fit the space I needed. I used one sheet of 3/4 inch oak hard wood plywood for the bench top. Looks great and is very solid! I used two sheets of 5/8 inch regular grade plywood for the middle and bottom shelves. I had the plywood top and shelves cut at home depot 6'X30" and they did it for free. I cut the 2x4's myself at home with my Bosch jig saw, but I could have just as easily used my circular saw. Just remember the long 2x4's are cut to the length of your bench (in my case 6 feet), but the side 2x4's are cut three inches shorter than the width, to fit inbetween the 2x4's that are secured first to the legs for the length. In my case the width of my bench was 30 inches so all the side 2x4's were cut to 27 inches. Everything fit perfect. I had fun making the bench and I can't get over how sturdy it is. I used the long screws that came with the kit to mount the 2x4's which are plenty strong, believe me. The screws for the top are really meant for 1/2 inch plywood or pressed board, so I bought longer screws to secure my 3/4 inch oak top. I would recommend this product to anyone and I would buy another kit if I ever had to make another bench. I might buy another kit to make a 2'x2' stand for my heavy bench top drill press, to make a stand alone drill station. Have fun, I love mine!
