Solid construction

Ordered and out together these barstools. Parts all included. For ease of construction we used our own Allen wrench. The one provide was sufficient not comfortable to use.

The way it was set up it was nearly impossible to access the space to put in the screws. After working about 30 minutes I had the first two screws barely started and there were eight to go through. I gave up.

Nice!

I bought 3 of these stools, they are so cute and love the rush seating. Goes well with my white kitchen cabenets. Easy o put together, but we did use wood glue to put them together. So far so good, have had them for 3 months now.

Assembled the stool , seat too hard , the woven material gave my wife a sliver in her finger. Had to replace plastic slides on bottom of legs with felt slides as they were causing damage to my kitchen floor.

Perfect stools

We’ve been searching for the perfect stools for almost 4 years. We had some from AS but we were never really happy. These are the perfect ones and we are so happy with the price, comfort, and quality of these stools. We bought the black with tan and they match our kitchen perfectly. Highly recommend. We love all of our furniture from Home Depot.

The reason I'm rating this so low is that, while the finished stools are perfectly satisfactory, the process of assembling them was torture. The top rails (under the seats) were attached with bolts requiring the use of an allen wrench. The bolts were placed in slots which only allowed a partial turn of the wrench each time, and sometimes you lost half a turn when the wrench stuck in the top of the bolt. It took an exceedingly long time to get the stools assembled. The final insult came on the final rail on the second stool, where we discovered that the hole for the dowel peg between the two allen bolts had had the metal sleeve for the bolts inserted in it as well. The dowel simply would not go into that hole. We had to totally disassemble the stool to get that metal sleeve removed. All that aside, the stools, now completed, are quite nice. Just be prepared for a lengthy assembly process!

What sadistic person came up with this assembly??

I love how the stool looks, BUT... I have spent HOURS putting this thing together!!! The allen screws in little itty-bitty places where you can only turn a 1/4 round, if that, is what makes it miserable!! And there are 8 of them!! And the wrench supplied is huge compared to what is needed!!

Assembly was fine, all the parts included, and all the pieces in tact. The downside is the rush seat is of poor quality. From day one, they shed and splinter every time you sit on it. I’m afraid I will have to modify and cover them with vinyl in order to prevent injury, especially to children wearing shorts. The price was good, but I should have spent more if I expected decent quality.

Nice stools, BUT.....

The stools were just what I wanted. Black with a rattan top. The stools were easy to assemble EXCEPT for the last set of 8 screws on the top of the stool. An Allen wrench was included but it was extremely hard to screw all the screws in!! OMG it took forever

Cute, sturdy but sheds

They look nice and I think they are comfortable. I also like that the sear is bigger so my kids won't fall off. My only complaint is they shed the wicker stuff under the seat, which isn't something I thought about prior to purchasing.

Great value, well made and attractive

This 24" high white stool arrived as described. It was a bit off-white in color but looks fine with my pure-white kitchen cabinets.

Love them! Assembly trick

I was skeptical due to the reviews on the difficulty of putting these together but glad I bought them. They are beautiful, sturdy and comfortable. I definitely see the reason behind the complaints for assembly but I found a way to make it easier- each stool took me less than 15min to assemble. When you are using the included Allen wrench to screw in the top bars the cut out is small- I initially used the short end to get the screw started- you can only do a half turn at a time. But I found once started I could flip to the long end at an angle (see picture) and quickly turn it without repositioning it ( just keep it angled so you don’t hit the leg and scratch it). If I hit a point where it was hard to turn I’d use the short end briefly and then go back. Then I used the short end to do the final tightening. Each screw went in really quick this way. Even if I didn’t figure this trick out, the stools would have been worth the effort!

Assembly was difficult. Allen wrench that came with installation was too long to fit the tight space for the upper rail. The 2 lower foot rails are attached with wood screws that easily poked through the finish on the back side if driven in too far. Luckily the black finish is easily touched up. They do look nice and are sturdy once assembled.

Assembly difficult but good quality

The assembly instructions were not clear for these stools. I got them together but afraid they aren’t real sturdy because it was hard to figure out if I was assembling them correctly. Also a terrible chemical smell to them. Hopefully that will die down. They look nice and good quality for the price, just wish the instructions were more clear.

Natural color very orange

Love these stools- sturdy, coastal, great price! The main drawback is the “natural” color looks like a medium brown in the photo, but the stain is really orange. Also, when assembling- be aware that the pieces that the seat will screw into are the right way (small holes touching the seat, big holes facing downward so you can get the screw in!) The instructions aren’t really clear and by the time you realize it, you would have to take the whole thing apart to turn them.

Nice product but assembly is a nightmare

The product itself seems nice thus far, after only about a week's use. Very comfortable, as stools go. The issue is with the assembly. My husband is extremely handy and it took him an hour to do each stool and we had purchased 3. That seems like an egregious amount of time for someone who is able to typically assemble things quickly. He cited really poor placement of the screws and feels like with a few small tweaks they could make this process much easier.

Horrid to assemble

I am very very handy. Yet it took me 1-1/2 hrs to assemble the first one [I bought 2] and 1 hr to assemble the 2d one.

Attractive and sturdy

These stools are exactly what we wanted. Color is a little dark, but works fine. Very sturdy and a generous 24inch height. The only problem we had was the assembly. The hex screws that hold the main part of the body together are extremely difficult to tighten because of their location. Very time consuming. We searched everywhere for a better hex tool than was included in the box. Finally found one that was longer and that did help. The way it is set up, you can only turn a very long screw about 1/8 of an inch at a time, and there are 8 screws for every stool. Very satisfied with the quality otherwise.
