Simple and elegant except for shade.
My lamp arrived in fine shape and promptly. I love the lamp itself however, the shade supplied with the lamp is not the one pictured nor named in description. It is plain and straight. Don't like shade, no explanation as to why substitute.

3 way bulb gives low to high light options, lamp is well-made in USA, just a nice, classic lamp.
LOVE the new lamps
The lamps arrived in a very timely manner and were packed so carefully. Both lamps and shades were in perfect condition. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that I found the lamp bases a little brighter and brassier and less burnished in appearance than the online images. I love the dimming option on the light switch. Unfortunately a 100 W bulb is the max that can be used, but it's still enough light for reading. Everyone who sees them loves them.

I love the lamp but can't put the shade on.
This is a lovely lamp. But the shade came with some kind of rod up through the middle and through the hole at the top, with round plastic ends on each end. I cannot remove the rod and I can't get the plastic ends off! I need some help here.
I might possibly buy this again . . .
Appreciate the craftsmanship of Stiffel lamps and like the size and style of this lamp which fits well on my nightstand. Not crazy about the glaze finish over the brass which dulls it a bit. Considered returning lamps because of this, but decided against it as I'm hoping I will adapt to the muted look in the future. . . also have not been able to find another lamp I like better, and I'm tired of shopping!!
