These wheels are for a heavy duty application and I would only recommend that you use them on a concrete surface since they are metal. I generally use wheels that are polyurethane since they are quieter and smoother rolling but I used these on a very heavy table saw in my garage and they work fine , since I'm not rolling the saw around a lot . Quality seems top notch !

This cast iron wheel has a 250 lb. Load rating, made for heavy duty use on rough floors and concrete. Perfect for whatever items you need to install wheels on in the shop. The wheel is mounted to a ball bearing plate that swivels. This wheel does not have a brake or method to lock the wheels. It would work best on level surfaces or applications where the object does not need to be locked in one place to function. This wheel has a nice look about it, would be perfect for steam punk applications that need wheels of that styling. I’ve seen similar style wheels used for coffee tables at some high end industrial type furniture stores.

I got these 3" cast iron swival casters to put under a cabinet in my shop that I plan to move around a decent amount and weighs about 750lbs. These casters have a decent weight capacity, roll easy and should not leave marks on my shop floor. The locknut keeps the caster from possibly coming apart during use. The ball bearings allow for a smooth swival.

I found this product to be adequate for most lightweight DIY applications. The ball bearings aren't the smoothest, but are far from the worst. I found that removing the wheels, applying grease to the bushings and reinstalling the wheels made for a significantly smoother roll. They are ideal low cost solutions for dollies, power tools (table saws, etc.), small shop carts, etc.. I would caution against precision, heavy-duty or industrial applications however.

These 3 in cast iron swivel casters are super strong and very well made!! I purchased an additional pair and made a rolling dolly for all of my wood carving supplies to include a table top band saw. What a blessing having everything on one dolly! The casters are super strong and built to last long after I am gone. These are quality casters and will do for any of your diy projects.

I used this caster as replacements on my 2 ton engine hoist (cherry picker) and I couldn't be more satisfied. I needed a heavy duty caster and this one fit the bill. The cast iron wheel is sturdy enough to carry the weight I needed and it has a slightly crowned surface which makes it extremely easy to roll and swivel on concrete. The ball bearings are large enough (approx 1/4 inch) to swivel easily with no roughness at all. The axle is 1/2 inch in diameter and should easily carry any load I will use it for. It is a well made heavy duty caster.
