excellent quality fencing

Very pleased with quality of the 1x1 mesh fencing. I will order more now that I"m comfortable with the product. The included fabric gloves and cutting pliers were not good quality however. Gloves were very small and made of thin material....not really good for anything. Cutting pliers wouldn't cut the wire. I'd trade both for $1 off a roll of wire.

Ineffective Against Bunnies-Misleading Prod desc

I bought the Everbilt plastic mesh from Home Depot to protect my yard from bunnies, but within a week, they chewed through it easily, creating holes everywhere. I had to buy a 1/4 inch hardware mesh with coating, which worked perfectly. I wasted $100+ on this product, which didn’t serve its purpose at all. The product description is misleading and doesn’t match its performance.

Some critters are very smart. They must know on the other side of this green plastic mesh are the good stuff. They bite right through the mesh. Since I have extra mesh I simple patch the hole. I have older black mesh and they did the same.

Perfect height to prevent rabbits from eating young rose bushes. Deep green vinyl coating blends into the background (unlike the shiny ‘silver’ uncoated version. Easy to shape into a cylinder with 3" or 4” zip-ties.

It Is Not Rabbit Proof

I installed this around a 10 ft x 20 ft garden. Rabbits are plentiful in my neighborhood so for two weeks there was no rabbit damage. Then suddenly there was a hole torn in the mesh and garden plants ravaged. I installed a trail cam and found who was the culprit. Rabbits. They chewed right through this and ate the plastic. Yes, nothing left on the ground but a big hole in the mesh. All the while, green lush lawn grass right next to the garden.

It is perfect for what I needed it for. I bought another roll because it was so easy to work with. I put it around my 6x6 corn garden, and also the rest of that roll and the other one, I folded in half, and cut to put all around the borders of all my other vegatable gardens to keep my dogs out. So easy to cut and put up.

You pay for this (25ft) they give you THAT

Pathetic how they can't even give you 25ft....23.5ft..... how much extra do they actually make by shorting you on material... tomorrow I am laying out my 30ft Tape measurer and rolling out the second roll...If it's short like the first one I am going to the Federal Trade Commission and filing a complaint. Then giving it back to HD for a refund...

Protection for our blueberries. Nice and sturdy. Be careful when unrolling, it's under quite a bit of compression when packaged, and it will spring out with a bit of force. I use an angle grinder to cut - slices through in no time.

I needed this for temporary fencing in the back yard to keep my dogs and rehabbed wildlife within the perimeter until I received the supplies and construct the solid wood fence. THIS PRODUCT is a molded plastic. Fine - but, so much of the molded pattern was SO THIN or not even fully molded, that it made more than half this roll unusable! And, I question the strength of the fencing itself because of the mold imperfections. It would be as if one had chicken wire and every other hexagon was missing a wire or was not wound. VERY POOR PRODUCT. I ended up doubling the mesh to try to cover or overlap the very bad, very poor parts. DO NOT BUY THIS - get a better brand! I wish I could have returned it but the imperfections didn't start until I was a third down the roll and it was stapled on the wood!

This product was what I expected. The only problem with the fencing is getting it open. It is wound very tight as expected, but it quickly unreels when all the woven wire is removed and can easily catch you off guard and injure your hands. So wear gloves and be careful when opening the bundle. I use it to reinforce a more open wire fencing to use it as a burn container for my yard waste as the smaller openings would catch anything that would otherwise blow out. It works well for a year or two without having to replace it.

The pictures of the fence that Everbilt is providing as of 08-2019 are incorrect/does not match the produce pictures online.. I bought and installed HDX 1 in. x 3.3 ft. x 25 ft. Green Plastic Garden Fence from Home Depot. I liked the look and I liked the narrow wires that allows a ton of son to get through to the plants. One week later I needed to buy one additional roll, but Home depot told me that the HDX is discontinued. As of 08-20-2019 the Everbilt pictures on the home depot (and all other) websites are literally the exact same product pictures as the HDX I had purchased - and the same price to the penny as the HDX I bought last week so I ordered a roll from Home Depot. What I received was an Everbilt fence with very thick mesh/wires that allows less sun through (see pic). I returned the ugly/thicker fence to Home depot and showed them the pics on the website. They scanned the roll I was returning and confirmed that Everbilt sent the correct product - their pictures are just incorrect. Does not look nearly as nice as the product pictures - I know because I already installed a fence using *pictured* product.

We have had squirrels attacking our home air conditioning system; although the only point of attack was in the area where the wires entered the system the squirrels got inside and chewed through the wiring twice causing the unit to fail two times. The galvanized hardware cloth is great ... we wrapped the wire mesh around the whole unit and we are now home free. The galvanized wire is dense enough to prevent animals from getting into the system and the unit looks quite good (and it is secure!) and we have not had any further problems thanks to the wire mesh / galvanized hardware cloth. It has been in place only for a month or so, but there is no danger of further damage; the wire cage is secure and does not reduce air flow.

I purchased 30 units of this hardware cloth as it appeared to suit my needs as a rabbit fence around my raised bed garden. If my rabbits decide to jump really high, I can make it 24 inches high by placing it on top of my garden. If there are no jumpers, I can place it on the outside, making it easier for me to reach over. The kicker is that it took a while to adequately flatten each five foot section so that I have easy to use fence panels. I then tied a five foot plastic post from corner to corner to stabilize each section. I suggest a manufacturer consider selling four or five foot flat sections in bundles of ? quantity so they are ready to use. These should not have rough edges. I attempted to have a distributor make some for me out of stainless steel but the cost was too high. Folks are in to raised bed gardens. Manufacturers of pest fencing need to accommodate them with reasonably priced, ready to use durable products. No more chicken wire for me!!!

I've used this product for many years, & found it very suitable for certain projects. But, ......... between my order of 4-months ago, & another of 1 month ago, the quality has decreased, & price has increased about $1. per roll. I would have given the previous fencing 5-Stars, but the newest fencing is of thinner gauge construction, with slightly smaller squares. It will still suffice for my project but it's not as strong as what I received previously, and will tear more easily. One roll in my newest order arrived with a tear in it, presumably made by a forklift, causing me to lose about one foot from the total length of that one roll.... not a big deal, but I wished it had been noticed before being delivered.
