This is the exact hood I wanted for my kitchen. I had been looking at hoods for about 6 months. This one was out of my budget. When it was time to pull the trigger and order a hood so it could be installed, I googled it again. Wayfair had it on sale and in my price range! Thankyou Wayfair for giving me such a bargain on this wonderful hood.

Nice design. Only complaint is that the filters don’t sit flush with the ceiling or the range hood. Which makes it look off. For such an expensive range hood I expected it to be a little better constructed.

Beautiful product and awesome service!

First, let me say that this is a beautiful range hood. We've not had a chance to use it yet (house still under construction) but it's gorgeous. I purchased this in July 2018. When the builder finally got around to installing it, they opened it in January 2019 and there was a dent in the duct cover. It's highly doubtful that the damage was from Kobe. It was apparent that somewhere in handling, something penetrated the box and caused the dent. I am not sure when the damage occurred and contacted Kobe about getting a replacement (explaining all of the above). Ron was VERY prompt in responding and covered it under warranty and had a replacement duct sent within 48 hours of my initial email. It's rare to find this kind of service today. I'm very happy to have chosen them and given the choice, will do so again in the future without hesitation.

A Cut Above

This range hood was a gift for my daughter, and I spent over 40 hours reading reviews, comparing specifications, and examining hoods whereever I could find them. The major selling points for the Kobe were the written specs for noise levels and air flow, but I had to purchase it "sight unseen". I'm pleased to report that the sones ratings at the various speeds were accurately reported, and that this hood is whisper quiet on its lowest setting and much quieter than other brands on its highest setting, with none of the metallic echoes that some of the other brands exhibit. My daughter particularly liked the ease of cleaning the baffle filters and the amount of air flow. Installation was straight-forward, and the instructions were clear. This hood is easily a 5-star, except for two nagging items (1) The electric cable that was pre-wired into the hood had a sheath that was not clipped or clamped in place. Slippage of the sheath might allow the wires to be exposed and possibly lose the protection afforded by the sheath. This was solved by over-wrapping with vinyl electrical tape, an action that probably shouldn't be necessary on a hood of this quality. (2) The LED lights, which are of acceptable brightness, are positioned in such a way that illumination is not even over the whole stove surface, leading to a partial shadow over the rear burners, at least on the hood I purchased. In conclusion, though, I do recommend this hood, based on performance, styling and and ease of installaion and would purchase another with no hesitation.
