Lights on hood do not match photos

I'm very happy with the Zline range hood, however the Home Depot website shows the hood as having the lights in the front, but the lights are actually in the back. It wasn't worth the hassle to return the hood to a HD location and reorder a different model. HD needs to update their photos. Hood arrived in great condition. Zline packaging is amazing.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

Excellent and very powerful, looks great recommend

Very good looking, and works amazing. I bought it mainly for vanity, but it actually functions great. Cook all day with no smell, I'm fairly sure you could smoke cigarettes next to it and have all the smoke smell sucked out. Had two install issues. This replaced a microwave in the same spot and my existing vent was too low and a new hole and vent had to be added and my electrical outlet was not midline and also had to be moved.

Had to wait a few months for this range hood, but it was worth it. My biggest complaint is that I had to search deep to find exact dimensions so I could prepare the backing in the wall, make the exhaust hole (through the wall), and place the electrical outlet where the chimney would hide all of it. Installation instructions were vague and seem to assume some amount of experience or intuition. Still, not a difficult or complex job. The fan works well and looks good. Its not super quiet, but less noisy than our over the range microwave fan. Overall, a keeper.

modern look

We bought this vent hood to go into the new house we were building. We liked the modern look to it, that it was stainless steel and went well with our other appliances. Weve used it a few times end it seems to do a good job. There are four settings for the exhaust fan. When the fourth setting is chosen, it is extremely loud. Ive used either the first or the second setting and they seem to be doing a good job. The two lights are on the back of the hood. I do not find this to be a problem since I have recessed lighting in the ceiling above, so I have plenty of light. Overall, so far Im very satisfied with this product.

Beautiful finishing touch

We ordered the hood on July 20 2020, and arrived within a couple of days. The actual unit was prettier than the picture on their website. Prior to this unit, we had an above the stove microwave that recirculated the air back into the kitchen. When this stopped working, we decided to change and purchase a ZLine hood, that could be exhausted to the outdoors. The unit was relatively easy to install, but I did not use the anchoring system that was sent with the hood. I cut into the drywall and installed a nailer to attach the provided screws to. The unit does have some weight and I was concerned the drywall anchors would not support it. Aligning the hole, to the outside of the house, was simplified by the use of the flexible exhaust duct provided with the unit. The noise levels are reasonable. As expected, at the highest level, It is a bit noisy. But to be fair, there are a total of 4 fan speeds! The 2 LED lights are on the back of the unit and that does take a bit of getting use to, but not a real issue. We do love the unit and would buy another product from ZLINE in the future.

Great product, works flawlessly

I got the 36inch model. Had small space for a gas stove and needed a nice vent for it. This was the cheapest option available but is not cheaply made. Very nice contruction! Blower motor is strong and variable speed. The lights are great also! Easy install, hardest part is actually venting out the roof or side. I went roof vent

Very good overall

After using our new range hood for a few weeks, we can say that so far we are quite pleased. The styling of the KE-36-400, even though modern, does blend well with our slightly more traditional kitchen. The fan is quiet, especially on the lower settings, and we find that we rarely need the highest setting anyway. The lower settings eliminate odors just fine if we run it during the actual cooking, even fish odors! The lights are awesome, and we love that you can adjust the angle, although a wonderful improvement would be to have the adjust brightness as well (for a night light setting). Overall, a terrific product!

Great Product! A little difficult to install.

I bought this range hood to go above my range in place of a prior microwave. This ZLINE hood looks GREAT. I really like the style and especially the recirculating feature which allowed me to install the hood without the need to externally vent. The hood itself was great quality. My only negative feedback is regarding the installation process which wasn't exactly clear. The hood came with a very nice instruction booklet - but the booklet didn't address my specific type of range hood and left several steps vague. If I hadn't been handy, it would have been very difficult for me to install this product. But in the end, I managed the install in about 4-5 hours time and the end result looks great!

Bought this to replace a fancy Italian - made outfit that the motor went out. Can't get new parts because the company's out of business. This fan is every bit as good -- probably stronger and quieter and just as sturdy. Easy installation. Lifetime guarantee a real selling point. Don't like the location of the lights or controls, but the fantastic price makes up for that.
