Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

This could have been so much better. As others have noted, the screw holes in the right angle corner pieces the hood is suspended by don't line up with anything so figure on fixing that with a small round file - if you just enlarge the hole with a drill, you'll have to use washers which - surprise! - won't allow the square duct to slide down over them. Speaking of, I had to shorten both segments of the square duct covers to make this work with an 8' ceiling - they're 19.5" long each and I cut them down to 10". Get the low ceiling option unless you have 9' ceilings or higher.

Awesome hood design

Most hoods don't enhance a kitchen, but this one sure does! The curved glass bottom and the simple stainless steel oblong vent allow for unobstructed views from our kitchen, dining and living room. It's one of the first thing guests mention when they enter our home. It's easy to operate, has multiple fan settings and the 4 lights, one in each corner really make it easy to see what you're cooking.

So simple I don't know why I waited so long

Hood came with everything possible for a quick install. Assembly of angle brackets and hood about an hour. Prepping opening and bracing another hour. (Electrical was already in place with an outlet in attic). Hardest part getting my 12 year and 16 year old girls to help hoist into place. It is now a focal point of our new kitchen, let alone how awesome the lights focus on the work station and the smoke from cooking gone with the blink of an eye. You definitely know the fan is on but it works so efficiently you shut it off right after cooking. Recommend for anyone who has never completely vented out to the outdoors and just used charcoal filters, this is like a new toy to my wife and I.
