Amazing and attractive hood

This hood is amazing. The power is so strong and I love how easy it is to use. The light that comes with it is bright and great illumination above the range. I like that there’s three different levels so you can customize if you want it low, medium, or high. I have an open concept living space and hood makes it so only the kitchen has smell from the food. None of the other rooms get any smell.

One Year Review Thoughts

After one year of owning this model, it now randomly creates a burning rubber smell. I can't pinpoint when it creates the rubber smell. I can't afford to pay someone to remove the rangehood in order to remove the fan engine and to take a picture for the support call. I suppose the customer support expects the normal home owner to do this. I can't recommend this brand and I am afraid of the random rubber burning smell to use it.

Modern design easy to clean

I had contractors install this in our kitchen remodel two years ago. Nice design and easy to clean. I bought the touch screen led one and now having trouble with the light button turning on with touch. I’m hoping for someone to reach out to me because two years is not enough to get a new vent. I would’ve preferred the buttons. The screens are easy to clean as so is the tops of stainless steels.

Great product in reasonable price!

Cosmos Range Hood offers a winning combination of style, performance, and safety. This range hood with its sleek design and advanced features, it’s a valuable addition to any modern kitchen. There are couple of things they could have improved like removing lamination is a daunting job, it should not be that difficult. Also the installation of Chimneys is not very easy job.

Love My Range Hood

I purchased the range hood in May 2023 but did not put it up until December 2023 and I must say it did not disappoint! It not only looks nice but actually does the job of keeping smells and smoke clear. Love the led lighting as it is the right brightness, does not hurt my eyes at all. The fan works great. Love the low to high feature! As well as the timer. It allows you to put it on and not have to worry about getting up to turn it off. Also nice that they include the filter whereas other companies make you purchase it separately.

Great features and nice look

Bought this awhile ago but finally got around to installing today. Was easy to install but as I did not have a plug had to cut and wire the electric but that was easy. The only thing is the blue paper to protect it is a major pain to get off and in one area there was no way to get a tiny strip off which is driving my wife crazy. Lol. I and my brother in law installed this in like 30 minutes after taking old one down. Was very easy to install with a few tiny problems but I am dealing with a 40 year old house so things are not standard like newer homes.

Perfect addition to an old kitchen

Installed this range hood in our first home which we are fully renovating, installation is standard mounting procedure compared to most range hoods. Circular hole through the ceiling for the duct, and then the square cover goes overtop, leaving extra room for whatever method you chose to bring power to the unit. Turned it on for the first time today and it was easy to navigate the controls, highest speed moves a lot of air. Definitely a sleek looking unit, looking forward to cooking many meals under this bad boy.

Terrible assembly design

This looked good on the internet, but in actuality it is very cheaply made. Very light gauge. My major complaint is the flimsy and poorly designed means of attaching the vertical sections to the wall. Clearly, this was designed with cost cutting in mind. The vertical sections are so flimsy and the brackets so small that it is nearly impossible to get both of the hooks latched on the top section. I've been doing work like this for 20+ years, so it's not like I don't have a decent skill set.

Great product!

I bought this last week and I’m pleased with the range hood! It works well and takes all the food smell better than my old one while not making too much noise. It really matches my stove and gives the kitchen such a modern look. The filter is also such a great plus if this product because it’s washable. The only issues I have is that the range hood has a slight tilt. Another issue is the touch sensor of the hood isn’t the greatest, sometimes I need to click hard in order for it to sense it.

This Hood Really Sucks!

I bought this hood because I wanted something for my gas range/oven to vent out as much fumes and burnt fuel and keep my indoor air healthy, and to reduce the smells from cooking. It works very well, tho a little louder then I would like, when the unit is on and I open a window or door on the other side of the house, air comes rushing in, its so powerful I actually use it pull fresh air into the house even when Im not cooking. the led lights are just barely bright enough, I can still use my kitchen at night, and prepare food with only the vent hoods lights, but they are lacking and cant be replaced witch is a shame because I would much prefer and warmer colored and brighter light, and also should they ever stop working, what do I do, throw the whole hood away, or wire in my own lighting? The hood is built well and will likely last a long time, I like that it came with dampers and I did not have to buy separately as they tend to be really cheaply made, Overall i think this hood is the best value, if you bake/cook a lot and maybe are concerned with smells or venting fumes to keep indoor air quality high, then this hood is for you, the others in this price range just wont cut it. Pictured are a couple of tests I preformed to demonstrate its superior suction power, a smoke test you can see the smoke getting pulled away from the cooking surface, and I also brought the installation manual up to the filter and it sucked it right out of my hand and held it there firmly!

Excellent range hood for its price point.

Purchased this range hood and installed with ductless filters. Install was straight forward after I watched several youtube videos of the installation process. The paper instructions we're poorly written. Been using this range hood for 2 months now after my complete kitchen renovation. Works as intended. Moves large volume of air, much more than the previous "over-the-stove" vent did. Looks nice above the range top. Remember to leave enough wall space for the last piece of SS chimney to be installed. Otherwise, you'll have a difficult time attempting to fit the inner chimney to the outer chimney.

This is a good product. It was difficult for me to install because it is designed and includes hardware for a duct that is straight up or right angles into the wall. The brackets for the shroud need to go behind the duct or above the duct that right angles into the wall. My duct hugs and goes into the wall then out through the ceiling, so I had to make my own brackets. Also, it is difficult to hide the plug behind the 8 3/8" wide shroud. The manufacturer should provide a box for a hard-wire option.

Looks great and performs.Fit and finish is above average.The stainless steel on the main body of fan is a very good quality and mine arrived without a single defect. Simple install after some minor electrical changes I had to make (Went from hardwire fan to electrical box with outlet) which took little time.Hollow wall anchors included but I took the time to install a plywood backer when redoing backsplash.Touch controls work well and I guess the 24 hour clock problem was eliminated. Very impressed with the power of this unit. After years of dealing with a poor over the range hood this unit delivers fantastic smoke and odor venting. No more smoke alarms screeching! This unit does have a 6 inch vent which is needed to deliver optimum venting so I replaced existing 4 inch outside vent with a new 6 inch model which is available at the Depot.Of coarse at the highest speed the unit is somewhat noisy but so was my old unit that was almost useless.Lower speeds work great and are quieter than I expected.Unit does come with vent hose which expands to approx.8 feet. My only issue was the filters which did seem to vibrate a little at high speed which added noise. This issue was an easy fix with a little piece of 1/4 foam insulation that I put in the groove where the filters hang which tightened them up and eliminated vibration. Along with the saintly wife very pleased with product,purchase with confidence.
