9’ ceiling minimum
This has two, telescoping, 24” chimney sections and the fan unit has 9” vertical distance between its two attachment points, making the minimum total distance of the chimney 33”. The bottom of the fan is 6” below that, making 39” total. So, if you have a 96” ceiling and want to lean over a pot without banging your head on the hood, make sure you are not over 57” (4’ 9”) tall. What a piece of crap this thing is! Oh - and get your drill, because these asshats didn’t provide slots in the chimney for the electrical cord. Buyer beware.
No customer service at all!
I found an extra piece from the box during installation. It's not shown on the installation manual. I called and emailed to ask. No one answered the phone and no one responded. I left a voice message with a returning phone number. I never got a call back from the company.
