[Rewarded Review] Nice Shower Base

The shower base looks nice and should tie in with the Carrara white porcelain tile that I picked for the shower walls. I ordered this base online and chose in-store pick up. Upon unboxing, we discovered that one corner was broken/missing. It shouldn’t be an issue since we are tiling over it, but I would have given 5 stars if it had arrived intact. Seems like a nice place to put your feet!

Expected something different from a base material that was called...

Expected something different from a base material that was called solid surface. Perhaps this is just my inexperience. The base still feels and sounds like acrylic to the touch. Wasn't what we were looking for.

The product is nice for what it is, but it is not the Swanstone solid surface people are thinking...

The product is nice for what it is, but it is not the Swanstone solid surface people are thinking of. It is their cheaper product called Veritek. Veritek is thinner in its build and limited in its colors. I think Home Depot should make that fact more clear in the description of the product. Take out the words "solid surface" and replace them with "Veritek."

This pan is decent. I set set it mortar bed as recommended by the manufacturer. It felt solid and was a nice upgrade to the cheap fiberglass pan that was replaced. That being said the solid surface is just that. This unit is molded acrylic with a solid surface cap. While this product is better than a flimsy fiberglass and acrylic pan I don't believe that the cost is justified for what you get.

Nice Product with huge color selection

I needed a product to use in a new home I am building in a basement level bathroom adjacent to a swim spa. This product seems durable and has a nice finish with a large color/pattern selection. I expected the product to be made of material more like the Swanstone kitchen counter top products I have seen in kitchen stores.
