Excellent Product
This is a superb product. It arrived quickly and well packed. I was able to install two 8 foot sections attached to two four foot sections one above the other by myself. The instructions were fairly clear to understand and the assembly was straightforward. I took my time to carefully read and install the shelving. It took me several hours to complete.
Confusing install. But amazing results
Getting started was probably the hardest thing. And the instructions are a nightmare. They direct you to different pages and it's so confusing. What helped alot was the install videos on YouTube. I watched all of them including the DIYer vids.
Real quality product! Sturdy well engineered. Even the packaging was best I’ve ever received. I will say that it’s really important that you have mounting studs on 48” and 96” centers. They don’t provide much accommodation for any variation in stud spacing. Also there was a flaw in the instructions to install the cable onto the side mounting rails. Depending on the height that the upper cable mount is above the shelf itself, your supposed to install the cable to the side rails in the hole marked with that height dimension. This was not remotely true!! Iengineer
Sorry I bought them
I liked the concept and bought two sets of the 8 ft wide x 2ft deep units. These are very difficult to hang on dry-wall covered 24" on center, interior facing stud walls in my garage. Stud spacing is nominal and owing to the location of various electrical wiring, duct work, and whims of the framers, I could only attach 1 out0of-three of the hangers to studs. There is simply not enough flexibility to move the hangers with out massive surgery. Extra hangers aren't available (I tried). I accepted the fact that I would not be able to center or otherwise position the location of the shelves, but hanging them has been a royal pain. The solution advised by the seller is to attach a pair of 2x6' boards across the wall at appropriate places, and then attach the shelve's hanger brackets and upper eyelet brackets at the appropriate levels. Frankly, If I wanted to do that (2x5:Ls are heavy) I would have simply built shelves out of wood. big disappointment. I ended up drilling holes into the back frames of the shelves at locations that would allow them to be screwed into studs. Because the shelf brackets are needed to hold each shelf together and because they are not flat in the vertical plane of the hanger bolt section, I had to make spacers to place under the back frame. The brackets themselves had to be drilled also - that was quite difficult. I say poorly engineered. If you buy them, get them from your local HD store, so you can return them if you don't like them.
Definite drawbacks to this shelf
I like Newage products in general. They're usually really well-designed. This shelf has some drawbacks that customers should be aware of.

Seems expensive for what it is, but looks much better than wood shelving that I would have built myself. Also the least expensive option for metal shelving that I could find after extensive searching. Do a little research and find these when they go on sale, if you have time. Great for utilizing dead space near ceilings in the garage. Install did take a while (about 4-6 hours at a slow pace), but I did do several of the 4' long and one of the 8' long. Had them for a few months now. One thing to note, as the three shelves I received did not include the turnbuckles that allow fine adjustment of the shelf height, you need to measure carefully. From pictures in the instructions and older advertisements, they appear to include them, but apparently they cut out some cost since then. If you wanted them to be really perfect and level, you could buy your own turnbuckles for rather little cost at a hardware store, or just be precise when measuring and it'll be pretty close.
