The really big surprise was the customer service,and big performance/fit for a small price!

Actually installed it myself,it was that easy.Then to find out it actually works well was an unexpected positive.Price aside i would have paid more for this product.To be transparent,the fan is loud,and the buttons aren't luxury looking,but such small issues compared to the price and installation savings.i am posting a review (which i rarely do) because they offered a gift,and i want others to get the benefit of a real review.The only real problem was the filters were either missing or damaged in shipping.The company told me how to file a claim,and had the parts at my door the next day...YES,THE NEXT DAY :-)

Just installed today

Just had it installed today, seems fine, does exactly what it's supposed to do. Will update once we've had it longer.

This range hood is good looking and functions well. Fast delivery. I did have to have it professionally installed. Would recommend this product to others.

Good value for a range hood

This range hood was shipped to us very rapidly. The range hood was exactly has described and fit perfectly. It was easy to install. My only complaint is that the metal is a bit thin and had one small dented area.

very happy with slim profile and overall less intrusive size!!! Direct vented fan seems to work great. - it's been installed 2 weeks but haven't cooked much yet. Wish it had 2 lights instead of the one central light. Would recommend it and would buy it again! Only issue was delivery was delayed 3 times.

Cheap quality material, feels like a beer can. Easy to install.

Perfect size

Needed a hood for a small space and this was perfect. Delivery was on time and installed in less than 15 minutes.

Showed up crushed, terrible packaging. Returned it didn't want to try again.

Fan failure at six months

AKDY customer service is terrible. 25 minutes on the phone to be told the three year warranty is for replacement parts only. To file a claim you have to submit a video then they determine what part to send you. They do not pay for repair labor costs and I was informed you may have to disassemble the unit. 5 minutes on the phone with Home Depot and they told me I could return it outside of the three month window because it was a defective product. Replaced it with a trusted name brand unit.

Love my new hood to compliment my upgraded samsung stove .my hubby did it in about 35 min and it was easy for him to use the ventless option. the bright light looks great over the stove and the fan sounds kind itll get the job done with not too much noise

Dent

easy to install but has dent on visible part of hood. screws for vent were tightened to tight at factory. when reading other reviews , I thought it would have been an exaggeration, but mine was dented also.

Quiet

The range hood run quiet. The LED light is bright. Look very nice once installed. The only problem was that it did come dented, most likely cause during shipping. Customer service did help address this issue.

Suits my needs

I like the slim design and price point. replaced a humongous dual purpose microwave and the slim profile allows for more cabinet space above.

Sleek appearance. Runs quietly. Has lots of power. Easy to install the carbon filter. Just put it over opening, turn and click. Comes with an extra filter. Can be installed as ducted or non ducted. Serves its purpose.
