[Rewarded Review] The perfect firewood rack for my needs

The ShelterLogic HD Firewood Rack w/cover is an excellent product and a very good value. The size is perfect for what I needed. I use the firewood for a fire pit on my porch. I had looked at other firewood racks that weren't as big, that cost more and did not include a cover. The cover was to be purchased separately making the cost of that product unreasonable. I'm sure the ShelterLogic Firewood Rack is much more substantial than other wood racks available because the entire rack is made of heavy 1.5" steel tubing and assembled with 1/4" bolts. It was easy to assemble, and the cover works great. I couldn't have found a better firewood rack. Delivery was quick.

Shelterlogic Heavy Duty 12 Foot Long Firewood Rack

This steel rack is perfect for minimum 16" long split firewood. The 12 foot model holds exactly a face cord of hardwood.

Fire Wood Rack

I like the overall product but there was an issue with its quality- while putting it together, lining up the bolt holes , 3 of the 4 leg connections aligned perfectly but the 4th leg connection did not align at all and I had to clamp the legs together the best I could to try to drill new holes to align with the holes that were in the correct position on the one leg which was hard to do but got them aligned close enough to get the bolts thru and connect the 2 legs but one ended up a bit higher than the other so now one of the legs does not touch the ground

Heavy Duty Firewood Rack, 4 ft.

I’ve had my Shelterlogic firewood racks for over 15 years. I use them every year for my winter firewood out in the yard. Anywhere from 1.5 - 2 cords of wood each year. I place the legs on leveled 14x14inch stones, I make sure the bars are straight and retighten- before each seasonal load. The few times I’ve had firewood topple was when I skipped those steps. I’ve disassembled and reassembled so many times, I've miss placed 6 of my 15inch support bars. Lesson - keep bolts, nuts and support bars together! Hoping I can have someone contact me so I can get my missing pieces. This is a product I use every year, it’s worth every penny!

[Rewarded Review] ShelterLogic 4 foot Firewood Rack

Trying to corral the wood on my front porch, I needed this firewood rack! Easy to put together, I had it shipped to store, which was easy also! I let them know, through the app, that I was on my way, they loaded it and again I was on my way. Tractor Supply could not have made this purchase any easier! Thank You!

The firewood rack was easy to assemble and looks to be of good quality. However, the cut firewood needs to be a certain size or larger to stack on the rack without falling through. We put cardboard on bottom of rack because the firewood logs we purchased are on the short side and we needed the support on bottom so they would not fall through.

Not exactly as advertised.

I don't like the fact that it is advertised as NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. I had to assemble it. The reason I didn't order the 8' rack is because no assembly. So, I spent and extra 47 dollars that I would not have spent ordering 2 of them. If you had said assembly required, I would have ordered the 8' rack and saved some money. I reached out to corporate, and no one has responded. But I did put them to use.

Sturdy and easy to assemble at a good price

Well built, sturdy, and easy to assemble. As other reviews mentioned, your bottom layer of wood needs to be slightly wider than the bottom rails, or the wood will slip off. I plan on cutting a piece of plywood to fit the bottom to serve as a shelf. This is personal preference only. The rack is exactly as depicted and described.

Pile of crap

This is not worth the money. Cheap piece of crap. It’s not very well designed at all and doesn’t hold the wood too well. If the wood is too short it just falls down. I don’t get the cover at all since nothing really holds it together and I just threw it down in disgust. So buy this if you want to be taking a trip to the landfill.

Yardworks 4ft steel frame log holder

The frame was easy to build together. It holds the amount of firewood it says it will hold. The cover was simple to put on. The only problem I had, was that much of my wood was cut to exactly 16 inches and it wouldn’t stay on the rack until I put a board down on the rack to pile the wood on top of. It would be better if the rack had some kind of crossbar going from end to end, in order to accommodate shorter logs. All in all, I am pleased with this product.

Easy To Assemble with the Right Tools

Easy To Assemble with the Right Tools. Don't believe the wrench/socket size in the instructions. I think I used a 13mm socket. Could be the powder coating, could be a mistake. Bring a few sockets to the build area.

Yardworks Misfires With the 4 foot Firewood Rack

Unless your wood is long enough, it will slip past the horizontal and vertical bars. If you buy this item, use longer wood around the perimeter and put the shorter wood within that to contain it. Another issue, are the metal braces that one installs on the bottom make the vertical supports angle outwards. This will cause an appearance issue as well as creating a difficult task in trying to get the supplied cover to neatly cover the wood and having the hook and loop strips line up. When this supply of wood is exhausted, I am going to install washers in the bolts that do not have the metal brace in an effort to get the verticals perpendicular to the horizontal bars.

Great Firewood Rack

What we like most about it is it’s simplistic design. It basically blends into the existing black railing and we hardly see it! In other words, it doesn’t compete with the other elements on our fire pit deck and that’s what we’re most happy about!

MAKE SURE YOU BUY OR CHOP CORRECT SIZE WOOD

For the price, this rack is OK. It is wide as others have stated. It JUST and I mean JUST fits 16" logs. If you are buying gas station wood or small cuts you will need to lay plank boards or make a base layer for them to sit on. The cover is good quality but the velcro system is rather dumb, it has parts that are never used no matter how you close the ends. Seems like this was a first run of another brand and they couldn't move them so they sold to Yardworks to slap the name on and clear stock or something. NOT brilliant but by far best for the price point. Take a look at the space bar in the picture, it it only at the top and not bottom bolts. This leaves a bit of a gap forcing the outside bars to tilt out. Maybe that's by design.. can't be sure, but I used a small spacer on the bottom bolts anyway.

This wood rack looked like what I needed but after receiving, assembling and using it I think it sucks. While it's not hard to assemble there were mis-drilled holes in one of the U-shaped tubes which took the whole thing out of alignment. The Velcro cover is hard to properly use and is a nice thought but impractical. You cannot place this rack against a fence or shed or something because you need to get the cover around the backside of the rack in order for it to work.

[Rewarded Review] Good Product for the Price!

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and had it shipped to my local store. That process was very smooth by the way. The only issue that I have with the rack is that I could not get it to sit squarely. Every time that I tightened a leg on one end, it turned the opposite leg on the other end up about 4 inches. I tried loosening and re-tightening several times, but the same problem was present. The other issue is that the bottom racks are about 17" apart. If you have shorter pieces of wood that you would like to store, I solved both problems with a sheet of plywood and some black spray paint. Now, the rack looks great and holds the wood perfectly.
