[Rewarded Review] Nice vinyl fence section

This is a nice vinyl fence section that is decorative and easy to install. No digging! Basically you pound the poles in the ground and you don't have to be perfectly straight. It has level devices on the poles to help keep it looking straight. Not sure if it'll take a rock hitting it from a lawn mower but we'll see.

Very happy with this purchase and would recommend. We spent about 30 more for this fence than the traditional post design and it was so worth it! It was easy to install. As a weekend project, we put in 12 posts, two gates and 7 panels that turned out to be pretty stress free.

poor product

Purchased and assembled by experienced workers in August 2023 Looked ok but was flimsy. June 2024 the rails are falling down. Vinyl puling away from the brackets. Picked up the product from Home Depot so delivery rating is NA

These panels are not delivered assembled they come completely disassembled and in many pieces. I have been installing fences for 20 years. For me this had been most complicated install I have done. it is definitely not a diy project.

5 stars - We needed a functional fence to define our chicken run and keep the chickens out of the backyard. The Nantucket vinyl fence looks great and was easy to install. It was easy to customize to the exact lengths needed for the different sections. The four foot wide gates make access to the chicken run easy. We were very pleased with the ease of ordering, timely shipping and clear instructions.

The WamBam no-dig fence is a very good product with great customer service. I had some issues with one leveling donut and they were so kind to send one replacement right away.

easy to follow instructions...i am getting old, so pounding the achor into the ground where we have a lot of rocks was not fun, but the leveling function helped keep the fence pretty close to perfectly straight. people i don't even know stopped by to say the fence looked great. Dog is happy to...no leash.

The instructions are simple and thorough. If measurements are done accurately and a level is used as suggested in every step, the installation is very fast and the result is fantastic. About 30 minutes per section allows ample time to be precise. Much less time would be required with some practice. A ten pound sledge was more than adequate in sandy soil.

I purchased this fence through HomeDepot. com. In my yard I have a retainer wall about 12ft high separating the grassy steep hill slope and my house. Because of certain NYC laws, i am unable to flatten this hill. I decided to buy this fence because it was a simple low-cost DIY solution to a problem. New home owner. Was easy to do. Was a family effort we put the fences up in a day ordered 20 panel plus a door I love how it came out. Fence is sturdy. Neighbors had good things to say. It’s beautiful. The previous home owner drove by pulled over and said WOW. Looks really good. Made my day. Thinking of doing the back yard next.

About a third of the way through installation. Looks good. The plastic donut holders cracked at screw on the first two installations. Just duck tape before hammering posts. Some come cracked. Assemblers a little aggressive at factory. A better design would be a snug fit of plastic part around metal post.

Accent corners

Over the weekend I constructed the corner accent fence panels. The boss wanted a scalloped look so we pre-setup a panel, stood it up and dropped a string from top of first picket to location we wanted for top of last picket. The string made a perfect arc. Marked the individual pickets, measured each for cut line and had the template for the panels. Installation with the dig-less posts was terrific. Purchased a post driver (20 lbs., $37.00) and driving went well. The boss loved the end product and is now scoping the back yard.

In the instructions it gave exact measurements where you should start the next metal piece, I followed it to the exact distance and the poles didn't align. And 2: the metal pole was way more difficult to drive into the ground than advertised.

This product assembles easily. I have installed pvc fencing before so I understood the need for careful measuring and planning. I made a post spacing measuring jig by attaching the hanging brackets to both ends of a fence rail. It worked perfectly. Get a post pounder. They are about $30 and any other method is harder and less accurate. Use the double string method to ensure alignment of posts. If near large trees, have a cordless drill with long 1 and a half inch spade bit to drill through any roots to big to pound the post support through. Once I had one section dry fitted together to meet the wife's approval, I made a bracket placement jig with holes drilled in it to pre-drill pilot holes for the bracket screws. I used scrap wood but a wooden yardstick would have worked well also. The screws provided are self tapping but I find it less tiring and more accurate to use pilot holes. It figured out to about an hour total per panel. Finished results look professional.

Works as designed. Good, relatively solid fence that looks nice. Installation was easy but does take some time. We did about 25 panels in a line, and it is somewhat challenging to keep it straight as the doughnuts do push the vinyl in different directions. Still worked quite well for our purpose. In the 30 packages we have received so far, only 2 missing pieces. Not bad. Much easier than digging and filling with concrete.

Beautiful looking fence. Some difficulty with installation

My yard has many mature trees and dense clay soil. This made a unique challenge for installing the fence. Although I was anticipating easy pounding of the post, I had about half the posts that required to hand dig and remove large tree roots that were obstacles. I became frustrated at times because the fence seemed like it would never install. However, after troubleshooting, I do have a beautiful picket fence transitioning to the steady freddy privacy fence. So far, I have installed 134 linear feet of fencing with the help of my mom. The project was completed over the course of 4 days. The panels do become easier to install with each one after you get the hang of it and get a system going.

Our property has very rocky soil so I was not looking forward to digging holes. I decided to give the no-dig fence a chance since I found reviews that claimed that it can go through rocky soils, too, unless you hit a really big one. Turns out it is not exactly a piece of cake and I wouldn't go so far as to call it "fun", but for the most part the installation was fairly easy. The only time I had to dig a bigger hole was when I had to remove an old tree root which (of course) was right where it needed to be. Smaller rocks did not pose a challenge, the steel post just pushed them out of the way since they are surrounded by softer soil. So far, the fence is stable and looks great.
