They are great in every way, except they didn't last two years. These were installed on a carport ceiling to a motion detector - not a harsh environment or a heavy-use application. Given that I would have hoped for them to last 20+ years this is a big miss. After 12-18 months the lamps started blinking instead of steady operation. Every single unit failed and they all had to be replaced.

These have a nice build quality and provide great light. Since these are damp rated I put them in sheltered exterior locations. I installed three of these in my parents cave-like, mostly enclosed carport. I was able to get these to work with motion sensors. A dusk to dawn difference! The thin profile made this difficult job much easier. the other three I installed on their front porch.

This product is great for sprucing up bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms, garages, home office, basement, or adding ambiance to outdoor patios/lanais. The lights have simple color-coded wiring for hot, neutral, and ground. I would not recommend this light as a replacement for the larger recess lights without drywall repairs because the older recess lighting is usually larger than the newer lights. These lights are perfect for new construction projects and new recess light installations. The product offers 50,000 hours of lighting, has 5 color settings, and comes with a 3-year warranty. This is a win-win product.

This exact thing happened in a remodel of my daughters basement. Luckily, we installed similar LUXRITE luminaires in here ceiling tiles, replacing the large 2-foot x 4-foot fluorescent fixtures. I chose 5000 Kelvin which ended up being too white and harsh. Able to select the correct color was as simple as dialing it in with the switch selector. While this technology isn't new, its great it comes in a 4-inch ceiling canless fixture.

Great Color Temperature

Being able to select the color temperature is critical to obtain the best look. The wrong selection will make our paint and decor choices look sick, and not in a good way.These guys are super easy to install and do not require that you install an electrical box since everything is included. I do recommend getting some extra large wire nuts in case you need to collect more than two wires in your installation. The ones included are small.The only reason I rated four stars instead of five is that I did not love working with the square white plastic trim. They are a bit tedious to align compared to the round ones which require no alignment. I also thought this was the cheap looking part compared with the high quality of the rest of the product.I ended up using these in my shop since the look was not what I had hoped for for my billiard room. They replaced old fluorescent fixtures and are providing much better light in an energy efficient design. I'm really happy with the look and will be adding more to the rest of the shop. Less

Nice looking LED remodel canless light that fits 4 inch openings (really 4-1/8" to 4-3/8"). I measured, and the round part of the housing that fits into the ceiling is 4.1 inches, so a 4-1/8" hole is the minimum. The paper template that is included says it is 4-1/4 inches, but it measures more like 4-3/8 inches.

A very high quality product from Luxrite. Lighting options have gotten so much better in general in the last few years, and this is another great option. Dimmable - color-selectable - indoor - outdoor - clean low-profile - easy connection - these have it all. The product description and specification on homedepot.com is very well-done - complete, correct, and clear. And one more thing - even though I wanted the uniqueness of the squared look, I was not looking forward to having to cut square holes in the ceiling. Imagine my pleasant surprise to find that the form factor of the light requires only a 4.25" round hole, which I can easily make with a drill auger.

These are super fun to use. This is by far one of the easiest light fixtures I’ve ever dealt with. As long as you have a power source, these fixtures can be cut in just about anywhere. You simply cut your opening using the provide template, connect power within junction box, slide junction box through hole and attach light fixture with spring-loaded clips. They are so efficient, design wise and energy wise. For how small they are, they actually provide nice coverage and illumination. Very cool

I am a huge lighting nerd when it comes to getting the color temperature correct on my lighting. We recently remodeled our kitchen and we wanted 4” smaller lights to compliment larger 6” lights. Getting the color to match the other lights in the house wasn’t easy but since these have 5 color levels I thought I’d give them a try. The Luxrite 4” canless lights worked perfectly, we selected the 4000k color temperture. The canless box also helps fit into tight places and if you have a joist to deal with (in the center of a room or something) the low profile trim allows you to place it where you need it. Definitely happy with these lights!

Each of these thin recessed ceiling lights has a slider switch that can be used to change the color temperature from 2700K warm light all the way to 5000K cool bright light. The spring loaded clips make the installation very straight forward. With the correct sized opening on the ceiling, installing the light is simply done by holding the clips in and inserting the light into the hole, then releasing the clips. A connection box is included with each light, so connecting the wires are easily done with twist connectors (included). These are dimmable lights and highly efficient. These can be used indoors and outdoors.

The LUXRITE 4 in. Canless Ultra Thin SQUARE LED Recessed Light Kit have made installing can lights a breeze! Just cut a hole in the ceiling and install. Gone are the days of having to buy the expensive cans, needing room above for the can and these lights are IC rated so contact with insulation is no longer a problem. The lights come with instructions for the installation, I just wish they had the push in wire connectors instead of wire nut connectors but thats not a big issue but they would make the installation so much easier. The included junction box has a small switch on the side that has 5 brightness settings, 2700k, 3000k, 3500k, 4000k, & 5000k so now you just need to buy one light and can adjust the maximum brightness easily and they can also be controlled with a dimmer switch. I really like the square design it gives the light a entirely new modern look. I am using these in my bedroom and really like them. If you want a easily installed and bright light these are for you!

These ultra thin square recessed lights are a great way to upgrade the lighting in my home. They are easy to install. They consume just 10 watts each and have five color temperature settings which can be adjusted from warm white to bright white. Included is a template for making the proper size hole and since they are canless, only two inches of clearance is needed. They also are wet location rated to handle rain and damp areas. They are held in place with spring loaded clips which hold them flush against the ceiling.

I got these lights to use in my bathroom shower area. It's never had a light in it and I always wanted one and these fit the bill perfectly. They are 4 inch square and have spring tabs to hold them in. They can be installed with a minimum of overhead space and the hole only needs to be 4 1/4" round in the ceiling drywall. A template is included with the light. The light color temperature is adjustable between 5 different settings ranging from a warm incandescent looking light to a bright white outside looking. The electric wiring is a simple 110-120 Volt AC connection using your typical White, Black & Ground wires connecting with wire nuts (also included). It is suitable for wet locations and it is also dimmable.
