Very Nice Chest

This is a nice piece of furniture. Easy to assemble, comes with the only tool you need. I like the way it locks the pieces together. Good workmanship. Everything fits perfectly together. Looks like time was taken to engineer this.

I will buy this chest again for another grandaughter

This was a gift for my grandaughter's high school graduation. I had ordered the chest from another provider twice but both disappeared intransit. I then ordered it from NFM and when the first one came, the base was broken. I called, spoke with customer service; they sent delivery people to pick it up, then I got another one that was just fine.She really liked the chest and it was easy to assemble. So, although it took some time, we got a very nice cedar chest.

Solid cedar. I liked that the sides sit on top of the solid bottom, makes it more sturdy. The manufacturer should include a better picture of the lid support bracket installation, it took 3 tries. The color was listed as warm brown but it has a deep /dark cherry red look

Not wood but particle board. Hinge pulled away from back piece can't keep lid on. Only had the product for 3 months

Very disappointed

We are returning this item, unpacked and there was significant damage to the edges and it was just not a good quality of work. Very disappointing, was looking forward to having a chest after wanting one for so many years.

that is very disappointed about this product had it delivered when started to assemble found out that one of the sides was missing all for drill holes for dowel pins and fasteners pins

Nice, but has particle pieces which splinter

Is a nice addition to my large bedroom, deep storage for bulky winter covers - only issue is that I prefer real wood - this has few 'particle pieces which splintered but repaired w wood glue - will keep, the cheap price , I couldn't afford the 800$ ones right now :)

Waste of money

So many problems. Arrived with chip on upper right front corner, no equivalent damage on box, so shipped that way. Instructions clumsy. Some pictures are too small to show orientation of ends such as spring loaded support arms. Speaking of which, one was so tight that on first closing it ripped out of the lid before it would bend. Upon removal it took all my strength to fold and I'm a big guy. Package was missing 4 screws needed to complete attaching feet. If I could give it a negative rating I would.

Coaster Company Cedar Chest

First off, the reason I'm only giving three stars is because one front corner was broken off in shipping. Everything else was good. The entire inside is covered in a cedar veneer and the chest is large enough to hold a couple of blankets, a comforter and several pillows. The quality seems to be good. The piece fits in well with fine wood furniture. That part is impressive. If the piece had not broken off, I would have given the chest 5 stars. I did take out the insurance, so I'll see if there will be any compensation made.

Good product for the price.

Not really the finest piece of furniture in the world but after I got it assembled I was pleased with its structure and appearance. It will work for our needs.

Looks great!

We use it to store items that we don't want the grandkids finding such as firearms. We did have to install a clasp to make it lockable.

I really did like this chest i had no issues with putting it together but the directions was hard to understand for me but it did come out really nice the color is darker in person in the picture

We were very happy with Walmart and their quick response on the shipping. We were, however, very disappointed with Coaster Company. Evidently they do not have a quality control department. The back rail on the base had been broken and glued back together.
