This item was very hard to put together. You definitely need two people. Instructions not clear. Missing some screws and since it was from China there is no phone number. Putting the last piece together was difficult as my arm was not long enough to screw in the tumbler. I'll go to the hardware store to purchase the needed screws and nuts.
The quality is good and exactly as described. I recommend buyers to look for a different tumbler composter with larger openings for ease of access and a turning handle. This one has tiny doors too small for a shovel and makes it too easy to spill a little compost over the sides. There is no turning handle so you have to turn the entire thing by awkwardly grabbing at the indentations on the outside walls.
Actually good for the price!
Ok, so with a bit of experience in DIY or flat pack, these are actually pretty easy to put up - I put up 2 in a day with my other half. What I would say is the order in the instructions isn't necessarily the most efficient, I would make the doors first as they are a bit of a pain. Plus it gets loads of parts out of the way. Secondly, I would get all your washers and bolts and things in little pots, that saved lots of time.
I don't see the leaves decompose any faster
Pay attention to panel alignment along the way. The later you find a problem, the more costly it is to fix. The container is probably as big as advertised. I rotate the bin several times throughout the day. Sometimes I spray extra water and sometimes I don't. AFAIK, the decomposition is not any faster than my other compost bin build by chickenwire (open top dump space) So it does improve on the look, but after a month, I see that I am nowhere close to harvesting. I have lost track of the user manual, and does not have confidence that finding or reading that manual would buy me any efficiency.
Great space saving compost bin!
This rotating compost bin is brilliant! Takes a while to put together but straightforward and loads of room inside. Pop your cuttings, food leftovers etc inside, give it a spin and off it goes. Doesn’t seem to attract the flies quite as much as our old ‘tardis’ bin but it’s early days! Very pleased that it takes up so much less room too!
Well-designed and sturdy
The tumbler is sturdy and was not difficult to put together. The gloves were useful for protecting the finger tips as there are a lot of screws to fit. The doors fit well to prevent rodents getting in. The tumbler was delivered promptly and well packaged to prevent damage in transit. I’ve not had it long enough to assess its effectiveness but it certainly makes turning the compost easier.
Good, compact compost system
Seems to do a good job but only had it a few weeks so no finished compost yet. Very satisfying to be able to compost kitchen scraps for the garden without attracting rats. Has greatly reduced howuch we put in council compost bin.
Makes composting easy
Delighted with the composter to date. Sturdy, ample space to add kitchen scraps etc, and the dual chamber is a must.
Small yet effective compost bin
Very happy with this compost bin, so far. Very easy to assemble, despite the directions being vague. This is a smaller compost bin but has been working perfectly for our needs. I love the dual chamber, so the green and brown materials build up faster, resulting in quicker composting.
Sturdy and robost composter
I was a little skeptical about placing an order for this composter as some reviews had mentioned it was difficult to build. I found it actually really straightforward and managed it by myself with ease. Really decent size and good to have the two chambers to place composting waste into. Just starting to trial the composting journey but good to have this in the garden.
Great compost bin for smaller gardens
Really happy with this compost bin. Perfect for the smaller garden. Means I'm no longer wasting so much.
Not sure this makes the best compost but I gave four stars because the openings are really too small to get a shovel in it to empty it. And, it’s too short to get a standard wheelbarrow under it to dump it. So I’ll need to buy a small camp shovel, I guess. Next year I plan to build my own composter and just turn it periodically with a pitchfork. Old school.
OutSunny Composter
Read fitting instructions carefully and make sure you know what part is what. A spanner to hole the nut is useful but not necessary. Takes a little time to assembly but is straight forward. Easy to load Kitchen waste into composter, larger garden waste needs to be cut down, but doing that should also improve speed to make compost. Easy to spin the drum round and seems sturdy guess will need to see what happens after 2 years of uasge
Great Product.
So pleased with this. Arrived super quick. Packaged well. Really easy to put together and managed assembling it on my own. Looks smart. A little annoyed the price was dropped on an identical item two days after I brought this but overall I'm super happy.
Perfect
Just loving my tumbling composting. Easy to turn as long as you don't over fill.
It looks good. Two of us did it together and we were glad we both have smallish hands to get our fingers into the place where the nuts go. It went together smoothly even with a LOT of screws.
Early days, but very pleased so far. Time consuming but straightforward to assemble (lots of screws - but means it can be packed very flat to keep the costs down). Hopefully this will deal with our compostable food waste better than our standard compost bins, which vermin were being attracted to. Seems good quality and a good size, so fingers crossed.
Great compost bin .
Easy to put together, dont fuss to much putting the middle section in it just has to rest in place . Its bigger than i thought it would be so holds a lot of waste . Its my first compost bin so 4 weeks in to the process but so far so good. Its ideal for me as i didnt fancy the idea of having to turn a compost heap by hand .
The last piece, the doors, has to be on the barrel at the top and inside the barrel at the bottom. Don't forget to clip each piece in-between the screws. Will make it easier to screw the middle of each pieces. Works great so far. I figure we have to transfer the compost to the other side to cure at some point and start anew on the + side. Need to read more on the subject or watch videos. Hope to have enough for my garden next year!!!
I have wanted a compost bin for a very long time. This one was affordable to me using the AFTERPAY payment method. The item arrived on time in a
