The assembly of product needs work.

It looks nice. It was a pain to put together. An older person with hand issues might have a hard time putting it together. Because the screws are so tight.

I bought it about three weeks ago. Was just like it was described and fit in my spot. Just live the shoe storage.

Amazing Quality for the Price

As someone in the habit of buying mail-order, assembly-required furniture, the quality of this bench stunned me. Solid wood shelves, wood back panel with tongue and groove construction, screws for the back panel instead of finishing nails . . . The bottom panel even has a center cross bar with adjustable leveling feet for extra support. Honestly, as I was assembling it, I was thinking, wait -- how much did I pay for this?? I really like how this looks near my front door. The wood has a beautiful rich stain that brings out the grain. I almost felt guilty shoving shoes into the cubbies when I finished. Assembly took about an hour (not counting unpacking the box, checking the parts, and finding a screwdriver). The parts were well-labeled and the hardware was carefully packaged. Although the instructions didn't call for it, I also used a rubber mallet for the wooden screwhole plugs and added a few drops of wood glue on some of the pegs. Assembly probably would have been a bit faster with a helper, but I managed it on my own. A decent amount of hand strength is required for the Allen wrench screws because the holes are drilled tightly (which will be great for durability but makes assembly more of a workout). If you can't open the pickle jar on your own, find a helper who can :-) And for those who are wondering (because someone always does), the labels say Made in Vietnam for Linon Home Decor of Mineola, NY.

This bench looks amazing and feels very sturdy. It would have received 5 stars IF the directions were easier figure out, the middle boards wouldn't fall down while trying to put it together, and when you pull your shoes out the small boards want to come out with the shoes. I might wood glue them down. It does look and feel great though.

Nice bench BUT

Exactly what I wanted BUT parts were damaged in the box. Needed glue, clamps and furniture touch-up marker. Probably should have just order a replacement.

Seems to be made of good quality wood, but is hard to assemble due to the four verticle boards that keep coming loose as you try to line up and install the other verticle boards.

Love it. Exactly what I’d hoped for. The reason it got 4 stars was because no matter what I order from Target it always has small defects. This has chips in the woodwork. It’s impossible to wrap it up and send it back so I just accept that sooner or later it’ll get chipped.

Looks good but a pain to put together

Had a tough time putting this piece together. Instructions weren't clear and had to take it apart after step 4. Nothing seemed to line up. It is still not assembled perfectly, but minor gaps. It does look good in my space and I am happy with the purchase. Just wish pieces fit together better.
