Cheaply Made

The light is cheaply made and needs additional parts to install. One light was loose from broken attachments that I had to use double sided tape to secure. Wiring from the ballast were short and needed extra wire to attach to the home wiring harness which came in the end of the fixture. Light panels attach to the base with small tabs. I had to bend the metal to make a secure attachment. I won't purchase another of these fixtures.

LED replacement for fluorescent fixtures!

I had an old fluorescent light fixture in my guest bathroom. It was actually two fixtures of two fluorescent bulbs each. This one LED is brighter than the two I replaced and cheaper than the price of replacing the four fluorescent bulbs in the old setup. Fantastic purchase! I am very happy! I was able to install it myself because it wasn’t complicated.

Bright Light not so good snap on cover

The light is nice and Bright. Loved the light and would have given it a 5 star if it had not been bent in the middle of the light fixture which is no fault of the fixture but packing and shipping. Because it was bent I had a very difficult time attaching the covers to the base of the fixture. The snap on attachment for the cover could have been better.

Cheap, but bright

I wanted to buy some well made 8 foot long fluorescent light fixtures to replace the 1,000 lumen lights in my garage but had to settle for this light fixture. It was one of two choices of 8-foot long fixtures as there were no fluorescent fixtures available. The other had three different light settings. I don't need mood lighting in my garage, just light and lots of it, so this fixture was the logical choice. However, it is cheaply made. The plastic LED housing hangs from what appears to be a standard fluorescent fixture with plastic clips. The first box I pulled off the shelf had a completely bent and broken fixture. In the second box, these plastic clips were broken and the limp plastic LED housing was drooping down from the fixture. I showed an employee that there were broken fixtures on the shelf but he merely told me not to open the boxes and walked away.

The first order was damaged in transit and never was delivered. A new order was placed to replace the original one. The product that was received was defective, and had to be returned. The third attempt was successful in obtaining a functional product. My experience demonstrates there is a serious quality control issue at the manufacturer, principally with the fasteners which hold the led tubes to the fixture. A properly assembled unit works fine, and provides an intense white light.

Poor quality control

What is the reason for 1 star?

Poor wiring design

All 4 of the LED endcaps were broken off on all 3 of my lights. They're not really necessary, but my shipment wasn't well packed.

A Good Light with Issues

It lights up my garage much better than the single recessed bulb it replaced. The metal fixture is solid and well finished without sharp edges. However, the company video is deceptive. There is no narration or text, just background music and graphics. The video implies it comes with a thingy (highly technical term) to route the wires through the fixture and a cover for the hole in the ceiling left by the aforementioned single light. There was no list of contents on the box I could see with my old eyes, so that didn't help either. Also, I had to remove and reverse the electrical control unit so the wires that connected to the house wiring could reach up through the hole. It's a good light, just be forewarned so you don't have to make a second trip to Lowes.

Amazing value with outstanding results.

Easy installation with fantastic results for my garage. Replaced old fluorescent lighting with 4 LED light bars and took less than 1 hr to remove and replace. Easily tripled the amount of light in the garage and workshop area. I'm going to replace my barn lights with these lights, as well. Great value

Product description is misleading.

This is NOT an "8 -ft 2-Light" LED strip light. It Is 4-4ft 4 light strip light. LED tubes are 4 foot long, placed end-to end to make them appear to be 8 foot, not at all as described or advertised. Wire connection is not where stated, requiring additional wire to connect. Instructions are difficult to understand. Everything about it is misleading & incorrect. I'm seeing this type of misleading, incorrect information consistently from Lowes in the last couple of years.

Excellent light source

I bought two of these LED replacements for fluorescent fixtures. I installed them in a recessed area in my kithen. Removing the old fixtures was easy. I had to use different anchors for the LEDs, replacing molly bolts (which I didn't have) with drywall anchors (which I did) but that wasn't much of a problem. The biggest challenge was getting the first fixture to stay on the first anchor screw while I marked the place to drill for the second one. Then I discovered I could unclip the light from the base which made it lighter and much more stable. Installing the second fixture took about 25% of the time as the first one.

Probably better for some applications more so than others, depending on your situation.

Pros: Just fits in my 4' space (recessed ceiling) area of the kitchen. Puts off a nice bright light. Cons: The two parts are hard wired so you have the part that contains the led bulbs dangling in your face while trying to line up and mount the heaver part that contains the ballast. The previous light had plugs so you could separate the two parts while installing. Also, I had to drill holes for the screws and the power because none of the pre-drilled hole or knock-outs lined up.

Trust - But Verify....

Purchased six (6) of these for installation in a utility area. Should have tested all of them at the store, but did not....that was an error.

beware of the knockouts

I did not like how the knockouts on the end had two attachment points too close to each other - normally they are 180degrees away from each other - these were as close as 30-40 degrees to each other - it cause issues when i tried to knock them out - the end pieces would actually bend a pop off the small notches used to attach them to the main part of the machine. and 1 of the 8 lights i got was used. a knock out was popped off - there were no wire nuts - and as for the wire nuts [3] given in the package - i would have preferred the Wago nuts used on the ends of the variable wire connections - they work much better. as for the good - they are very bright.

Bright light. But not 4000k interfears with radio

These are good shop lights if you want a bright light. They claim 9000 lumens but they are brighter than my brand new 5900x2 lumen T12 8 foot fixture. Combined 11800 initial lumens.. and about 10k average lumens. Yet the LED is brighter. Not drastically but i can tell side by side on the walls and floor of my garage. They really do mimic a florescent tube with the plastic diffiusor on. They are deff not 4000k though... 4k is more yellowish. These look around 5500-6k

Good light but issue with casing

Bought two of those and I must admit that they work good and provide good level of lighting. My main concern is the case of the light. When trying to punch out the holes at the back, if you are not careful, you could deform the case slightly and that could affect the effectiveness of the tabs that hold the LED in place. The tabs at the sides are very small and it's not hard to imagine a scenario where the light could be hit by something and separate the LED from the casing (It's easier to visualize when you look at the fixture in store than explaining in a review). While it's not hard to fix the issue with a few plastic ties, it's annoying.

Bought two of these light fixtures to replace T-12 fluorescent lighting in our kitchen (Two T-12s per fixture, so four in total). Our lights are recessed each in a sheetrock frame with diffuser acrylic lens. The install went better than I thought after reading other reviews. Unscrewing the green ground wire from the LED light top side helped, since there are no disconnects for the wires. Our frame helped, I just let the LED top rest on the frame while I mounted the body.

I found these on clearance at my local store, I had 6 very old and worn out fluorescent fixtures in a garage that gave me many issues. I wanted to replace the old bulky fluorescent units with some sort of an LED fixture. I did some looking around online and then seeing these decided to go with these. I like these because they are a lot smaller than what I had and I was able to flip them and run them down the length of the joists in the garage which makes getting in the rafters simpler. Install is fairly simple, although a bit awkward with the two halves joined together. I did have issue with the little white end caps falling off during install, or unboxing but they just slide on again. I got 6 of these for my garage so far work fine, because price, liking them I even bought one extra for a spare.
