Worked perfectly
Looks great. Love that it can be trimmed to size. Contactor had no probl3m putting it up
Nice design.
Arrived quickly. Needed two people to install. Black paint is fairly thin. Scratched it up when installing. Definitely do not want to use metal shower hooks. Plastic is what i'll use. Looks good. Not sure how the small screws holding the thin rod in place will fair against people abuse. Time will tell.
Good product but...
quality product that DOESN'T come with any instructions (sure they're online but when i'm at a job i don't bring my computer). Had to modify the ring and drill a hole in the tube for the bracket that mounts from the bar to the ceiling. but come one, for the price of this ~$182.00 you can't print 50 cent worth of instructions? relatively simple to install, not easy with only one person though.
If you have kids, you need a heavy duty support!
Our plumbers selected this product for us and it looks great, but I am baffled by the flimsy support rod. The wall mounts are quite robust, but the ceiling rod is very thin and only held in place by a very small screw that puts some tension on the bottom of the rod. It's been installed for less than two weeks and my three year old slipped in the tub, grabbed the curtain for support and it popped right out. There definitely needs to be a standard option for adding a heavy duty support rod with purchase. I'll be ordering one today so it's not installed yet, but I anticipate that will resolve the problem. I'm glad the option exists!
Was wonderful, while it lasted
We bought this in 2015 to replace a vintage L-shaped curtain rod in our 1952 house. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up. By the end of 2018, it is being held up by duct tape and we need to buy a replacement. Perhaps our kids were hard on it (it is in their bathroom), but the upshot it, it is not built to last.
Open Top Shower Rings
These open top shower curtain rings for corner shower rods solve the problem of the curtain going past the ceiling brace, but they are a bit tricky to figure out. I found that to yank on the curtain itself doesn't work, for they won't clear the brace and can become tangled. But if you just start pushing the first one with the rod sliding between your open fingers, they all line up neatly and quickly clear the ceiling brace all at once.
Very Sturdy and Nice Looking!
I had this installed over a clawfoot tub in our Victorian remodel, and it looks great! Very substantial and sturdy, easy to install with attractive brackets. It can be cut to size, which was very important for the right fit. I also bought the corner shower rings which easily slide past the ceiling brace...
