Thanks For Amber!!!

This door is for a project to help my mother-in-law. I picked up the door and stored it for a short duration in her garage until I had time to install it. Upon opening the package, I discovered the hardware was not packaged in the box with the glass. I called Lowe's customer service and explained the situation after calling the shower door company. The person at customer service proceeded to neglect to put me on hold, set the phone down and then chatted with another counter person. She then returned and stated there were no other boxes for me. I called the door company and they stated they would ship a hardware box and it would arrive in 10-15 days. I went into Lowe's the following day and spoke with Amber. She went above and beyond, WAS ABLE TO LOCATE THE HARDWARE and she is the ONLY reason my order was completed!!!

Dreamliner Essence Semi Frameless Shower Door

Bought and installed in 2022 and have been happy with it. I wish the manufacturer had sent an extra set of bumpers and clear silicone washers for the towel bars since those are going to need to be replaced soon. Also I have had to remove the inner towel bar to deep clean with some barkeepers friend. Another suggestion would be to slightly round the towel bar corners to avoid injury, they have very sharp corners.

Today’s Forecast: Showers

Waited until installed. The entire shower is gorgeous. The doors allow one to see the porcelain tile and Matt black fixtures. Simply awesome. Can’t wait to try the rain maker.

Bad product

You will regret buying this, read the reviews. Water will get out from the bottom and on your floor. Was told this was poorly designed by our contractor who installed this. Lowes always blames the contractor for installation problems. But all seem to have the same problem with water issues. Buyer beware

Dreamline Essence Shower 56-in to 60-in w×76-in H

The contractor installed and was poorly designed. Water sprays out from the bottom. It was installed correctly and had a contractor here many times trying to fix the problem. The contractor said it was a design problem from the company. Called Lowes, who said it was the manufacturer problem. I called the manufacturer and was told they would send a bottom piece to fix the problem from spraying out at the bottom. I should have read other reviews from customers with the same problem. Don't buy, your floor will have water each time you shower. They refused to refund my purchased price.

Nice door but...

Very pretty door BUT it is NOT water spot resistant. After one use there were water spots. I had to buy a special cleaner to remove the spots and now I have put RainX for showers on it. Obviously it was too good to be true...

Not a pleasant purchase

Was looking forward to have this installed, unfortunately only the glass doors were delivered with no signs of the hardware in the package. It turns out the product comes in two packages, one for the glass sliding doors and the other for the rails, tracks, towel racks (hardware). The truck only had the one package. Called Lowes to report the error, but they were no help. They asked me to call the manufacturer. I then called the manufacturer and they said it is Lowes' problem. Basically giving me the run around. But they cannot ship the hardware separately. Long story short, I had to repack the whole thing and return it. Had to reschedule the contractors as well, and still no door on the shower stall. Still waiting for my money to be refunded. Killed the joy out of this whole experience. Will source it from somewhere else. Sorry Lowes!

Two times this product has been dropped off at my house with the boxes damaged and parts falling out of it. These are glass doors. If the boxes are this torn up how do I know that the glass was not damaged without pulling everythig out? By the time I got home the entire box had fallen apart.

Very nice door. The one problem is with design. It is built exclusively to be a right hand open. This was not specified in the advertisement from Home Depot ar the Dreamline site.

The threshold and end pieces were very flimsy and can only attach with a small bead of silicone basically turning a good door one day install to two days to let the silicone set up. The hardware is labeled very well but there’s no forgiveness if any wall or threshold is not level or plumb. I will not get this brand ever again.

Great Design & Quality, But....

Abnormally tall. Also, there is no way you would fit past the doors in a 44" wide install. At 45", we have to turn sideways to get in and out. Not thrilled that the side pieces simply adhere with silicone and not screws, especially because they are only 1/4" wide. One bump, and they're popping off.

Missing Hardware

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with my recent purchase. I’ve been a a Lowe’s customer for over 15 years and most recently purchase the Dreamline Frameless Shower Down to complete my bathroom renovation. My delivery arrive yesterday and before then drivers could reach the end of my street, I received a call from the logistics company requesting that I conplete a customer survey and give them a 10 rating. Being that the product only required placement at my front door, I didn’t mind completing a customer survey at all. Unfortunately upon my contractors arrival, it was determined that only the glass was included in the delivery. I understand that the item description is “frameless”, but none of the hardware was included. I was literally delivered 140lbs of glass and now I have contractors that I have to pay for the day without any work for them to complete. I will request that the customer survey is resent back to me to complete.

Instillation

You can not install this door. No contractor will touch it because of how hard it is to install. The contractor that Lowe’s suggested we use to install because they used to have a contract with this person to install their doors, ended up breaking the door and not installing the sliding bar on the top correctly and now we can’t fix it. The manufacturer has licensed contractors to install these doors, but there’s not a single one in my state, do not buy this product.

Do not buy

I have only had this glass door for a little over a year. February 2023 we redid our bathroom and we spent so much time researching to find the best option. After it was installed, I did notice the shower doors were hard to clean and there was leaking in between the two panels. Then this morning, I was showering and one of the panels exploded into thousands of pieces, cutting my feet and legs. I am pregnant with twins and not even safe in my own shower. I would not spend close to $800 on this glass door.

while the deliver was awful, the unit itself looks very nice. there are a few things that were an issue. first, the tolerances were too close. the deflection in the top rail made it impossible to level the door to the wall, even though everything was level and plumb. The 1/4" wide rail on the bottom looks very problematic only being attached with silicone. the customer seems happy, but I was not impressed overall for the price.

Poor quality

Unfortunately, I agree with many of the other reviews, that these are poor quality. The doors don’t operate smoothly or easily, and the trim that came with the brushed nickel is gold colored.

nice door but.....

I like the shower door very much. the only thing I would change is that there is no knob on the inside to open the door with. There's only a little nub to grip to side the door open when you are inside the shower. I called the company and they didn't have any knobs that I could substitute. I ended up buying a square knob from another vendor that worked out pretty good. My contractor did have a bit of a time installing the door. Lots of parts

worthless unless walls are completely plumb

These shower doors are worthless and unusable if your walls are not completely plumb and level and your floor must be completely flat and level. There is no room for adjustment. This was a waste of money

The top rail came scratched. This was the only part in package that was not wrapped in plastic. I called Dreamline for a replacement. Customer service is awful. First replacement part never shipped and they kept telling me to wait for it to ship. Called second time after waiting 2 weeks & customer representative said I would have to wait while they reshipped. There was no way to expediate replacement part. It took over a month to get a replacement rail, all the while I had no shower in my bathroom. Shower doors are beautiful but check doors carefully before you are ready to install or you will be waiting forever replacement parts.

Installation was difficult. Our enclosure was within the quarter inch tolerance but still slightly out of plumb and we had to re-drill holes for the top guide rail before getting the doors to slide smoothly. The glass doors are quite heavy (94 pounds each) so installing them is a two-person job unless you’re fit. One of the doors lacked the maker’s decal and we wouldn’t have known which way faced inside if not for a small inspection decal. The instructions weren’t as clear as thay could be. All of the above made this a four star rating. Once installed, it’s gorgeous. The doors run smoothly. My wife loves it. We picked it up. The box was quite heavy but well packaged and all parts were included and clearly marked.
