Excellent additional pot!

An excellent purchase! Allowed me to cook whole meals for 13 people at once using my original instapot and this liner……cook 2 pots full with one heating element. Great for everyday cooking as well as in an electrified camp kitchen. Liner is light weight and stick free. Economical purchase.

A very useful addition

A welcome addition to my Instant Pot, it means I'm a 2 pot cook! Just like an extra saucepan and being non stick I find this better for sauces. Makes my life easier because it means I can carry on to my next recipe without stopping to empty and wash my existing pot.

Doesn't work -- C8 Error code

This is supposed to be compatible with my Duo Evo Plus 8qt instant pot but it's not. I attempted to cook rice and I got the very common C8 error code. How in the world does Instant Pot market an accessory that doesn't work with their own products? I returned it. QC does not appear to be Instant Pot's strong point. Avoid this product at all costs.

Great for unwanted sticky situations.

If you've purchased the Instant Pot then the ceramic inner is a no brainer. The stainless steel is awesome for so many dishes that call for a sear and fond deglazing , but for rice cooking and other potentially sticky situations, if you' don't want to be scraping or long soaking to get it clean, then you need the ceramic pot. Just get one.

I have 3 instant pots, but wanted an extra insert because i use them so often! I bought this one and love it way more than the inserts the instant pots come with! I don’t have any issues with things sticking to the pot, it doesn’t leave residual marks after it’s been washed either

Less sticking, cooked meal with even heat.

Cooked rice for sushi. It became more authentic cooked rice, goes well with donburi. Ceramic coating gave more even heat circulation. Hope coating will hold for a long time. Don't use metallic ladle, rice scoops or cooking tools.

Love it

Worth every penny. I've used it for oatmeal so far and it sticks on the bottom a bit but cleans off easily. With the stainless steel pot, it sticks like crazy and you almost need a sand blaster to get it clean. I like it very much for "delicate" things like oatmeal and rice. I like that it's ceramic coated instead of Teflon (PTFE) so there's no Teflon scraping off into my food over time. Fits perfectly in the 6 qt. Instant Pot Duo Gourmet that I got at Costco.

Great for Korean Glutinous Rice

I'm half Korean so eating large amounts of rice generally seems like a good idea to me. However, rice and especially Korean sticky rice sticks quite well to the bare steel of the default Instant Pot pot and it's just awful to clean up.This pot's ceramic coating feels very similar to the material in my mother's high-end Cuckoo rice maker. It's very, very easy to clean. After you make your rice, just fill the pot with water and let it sit for 20-30ish minutes (or even longer) to soak in. After that, the rice easily comes off.I've used this ceramic pot for meal prep several times and it was well worth the money. It also speeds up the cooking process because I don't have to let the pot cool off or clean it between dishesâ€"all I have to do is swap pots and the Instant Pot is ready to go again. All in all, a worthy investment.

Testing size before purchasing the 8 qt. Instant Pot machine

I got half a dozen frozen 12-15 pound chickens, but since they are too big for my 6 qt. Instant Pot and I don't want to use the oven over the summer to cook them, I ordered this 8qt. inner pot to verify they'll fit before I order the bigger Instant Pot. I'll probably buy the 8 qt. IP if this will work. Looking forward to it.

Lightweight and wipes right out.

I wish Instant Pots came with these originally. Its the only way to go! I use my pot everyday - and I even burned something once. No prob - everything just wipes right out. I put in dishwasher daily - its very lightweight. Maybe I'll use original pot as planter!

Saute Is Great With This - a caveat though

I was a bit scared to try and saute with this, based on a couple reviews. Good news! No more fears! The keys to using the ceramic coated non-stick inner pot for sauteing are:1) never put the lid on!2) start at the lowest heat setting and work up from there.I find that "Low" is perfect for sweating shallots, celery, garlic, carrots, etc. even though most recipes call for "Regular"/"Medium". Once you're up to temperature at low, it doesn't take much to bump the heat up a level. As for the non-stick, this is no joke. It's seriously non-stick. Absolutely approach it with plastic, wood, or silicone utensils. This is not a *thick* non-stick layer. Time will tell how long this inner pot lasts. I use my IP four or five nights a week, so if I get a year out of this inner pot, I'll be happy (works out to less than $0.12/meal). I suspect if treated carefully, it will last considerably longer. This is definitely not a pot you want to just toss around and use metal utensils in.

Soooooo amazing and easy to clean

I didn't think I could love my instant pot more but with this nonstick pot it's even more amazing and easy to clean. After a while I was having a hard time getting my part to not read the burn message no matter how well I thought it was cleaned it seems like I couldn't get whatever residue was stuck on the bottom to be gone and then 15 minutes in I would get the burn signal. With this new pot insert it's so amazing and everything slides right out

As advertised, nice to make rice with no sticking, yum, best

As advertised, nice to make rice with no sticking, yum. It's the best I ever made. Suggest experimenting for correct time. I'm not a fan of slow release unless I want sticky rice, so I like 5 minutes on high pressure with immediate release using pre-rinsed and drained rice and then 1:1 water to rice ratio. If it's a little wet after release complete, just fluff with plastic utensil for a minute to reach perfect moisture. Also at my high elevation Instant Pot makes it so much easier to make enjoy well-cooked al-dente pasta, and beans, too.

Fast and easy cooking

Perfect pot to saute veges or anything in little quantity. Best thing for non stick pot is does not stick to the bottom as compared to stainless steel. Also requires much less oil compared to steel. Perfect for sauteeing okra or any such sticky food.Easy to clean.Overall super quick cooking time.

Great replacement for include stainless steel pot

The stainless steel pot included with instant pots doesn't always clean up easily in the dishwasher, often requiring some hand washing. This replacement pot has good non-stick properties and is sturdy enough to withstand many dishwasher cleanings without losing its nonstick properties. I use this close to 100% of the time in lieu of the pot that came with my instant pot.

I kinda feel like it's not getting as hot as fast as the oth

I kinda feel like it's not getting as hot as fast as the other standard pot? It seems to take way longer to get up to the SAUTEE HOT level than my old metal pot. Sure it's easy to clean, but dang.....that heat thing niggles at me. Can't scientifically PROVE that it's not heating as fast, just by my own observation. It's only a bummer if your trying to brown meat or sear something using the SAUTEE setting, aside from that it performs well and I like it.

Fit my 8 QT Power Quick Pot

I took a chance and ordered this for my 8 QT Power Quick Pot. I actually prefer non-stick pots for ease of cleaning. I was tickled pink that this item fit, comes to pressure and cooks just as good as the stainless steel pot my Power Quick Pot came with. Excellent quality ceramic coated aluminum. Nice heft & weight to the pot too. Top quality item.

Good for rice with a little trick

We purchased this just to make rice since our rice cooker died on us. At first the rice turned out very sticky. Maybe half a cup of rice could not be scraped out and was wasted. My wife tried greasing the pot with a small amount of butter and the rice turns out so much better. We do a 1water ratio, and rinse our rice before cooking.I haven't tried greasing the stainless steel pot to see how the pots compare so I'm assuming this ceramic pot just makes the rice better. I also can't comment on the decreased chance of the burn notification since I haven't cooked my other dishes that do burn from time to time. I'll try to update this review when I do find this out.

Versatile!

So glad someone mentioned in an IP group that they bought the 3qt liner pot, even though they didn't have the 3qt IP, to use in their 6 and 8qt pots to do pot-in-pot cooking! It works perfect for PIP reheating too! That is what I predominantly use it to do. I don't like microwaves and do most of my reheating in one of my IP's but had been using corningware as the vessel. Since getting the 3qt pot, it's gotten a lot of use because any leftovers of one pot dishes or casserole style meals go right into the 3qt, cover with the available silicone lid (purchased separately), and it goes straight into the fridge. When I want to reheat it, onto a trivet with water underneath it goes, 20 min on steam setting or pressure cook (manual on some models) and most foods are reheated to hot in this time. I know the pot is pressure safe and the ceramic (not teflon!) coated pot is easy to clean. Another great use for it is to defrost hamburger or chicken. PIP, 1 or 2 min and the protein is defrosted rather than cooked. The 3qt will fit in the 8qt on the trivet that came with the IP. For the 6qt, the standard trivet that came with it will cause the 3qt pot to sit a little too high for the pressure lid to fit on top but if you have a low profile trivet it fits, or you could do balled up aluminum foil to make a lower trivet. I don't know how I got along without this one for so long. Of course of you have the 3qt IP this is great to have as a second liner pot for those dishes you think will be a pain to clean out of the SS pot. I have the ceramic liner pots for my 6 and 8 qt pots too for that very reason.

Beware! I had problems getting the instant pot lid to engage

I hate scrubbing pots and pans! So when I first started using my instant pot, I decided to get this non-stick pot liner in addition to my stainless steel one. I thought it would be not only great to have a backup but great to have one liner for like the really messy stuff so it was easier to clean. The very first thing I made in the nonstick liner was a risotto from Jeffrey Eisner's cookbook. I recall having some problems with the lid going on, but it's been months so I don't remember details. And then, about two weeks ago, I made something else and the nonstick liner and I don't recall having a problem getting the lid on. Finally, two nights ago, I put whole box of bowtie pasta and 2 cups of water in the non-stick liner pot to cook so that I could make pasta salad the next day. My pasta sat in the water for 40 minutes while I try to figure out what was wrong and why the lid wouldn't close. No matter what I tried, and I tried almost everything, that that pot lid would not go down into the groove. I just could not get it seated properly, over and over. So I tried to call customer service but they only work during the day and it was 7:30 p.m. so I was out of luck. Then I went on my instant pot Facebook group and they gave me some other things to try. This went on for 40 minutes and finally I just got disgusted and took the advice of a couple of the ladies on my group and washed out the stainless pot that was dirty and transfer the pasta add water over to it and the lid went right on.I don't understand how it has worked before but it wouldn't work that night. A number of members of my instant pot Facebook group noted that the non-stick pot liner stands up higher while in the instant pot than the stainless steel pot liner. It says right on the product listing it is intended for a 6-quart instant pot so I don't know what in the world is wrong. In terms of ease of cleaning, the stainless steel pot liners wash up so beautifully in the dishwasher that the whole cleanup issue is not even an issue anymore. The stainless steel liner can go in the dishwasher but the non-stick can't so there is another pot that has to be washed manually.Unfortunately, my time to send the liner back has passed so I can't get my money backI cannot in good conscience recommend this pot liner. It clearly does stand up higher than the stainless steel instant pot liner even though they're made for the same size instant pot.
