We loved our rain barrel so much that when it broke after 11 years (yes, lasted for 11 years) of seasonal use that we purchased this new one. While it's wintertime here in Indiana, I expect this one to be just as good and lasting. I can't set it up until spring, but looking forward to its functional beauty.
I just love this rain barrel! Easy to put together and looks great!
Algreen 245L Cascata Clay Effect Water Butt with Planter Terracotta Original Organics
Really pleased with the purchase it looks good and was easy to install.
really pretty. Have not used the flower planter area on top, but the hose option for filling cans is fantastic and allows for better control. Do not have to have this elevated on a riser to be able to access the tap.
We are happy with this product. I have similar rain barrels and was looking for another to match. I was hesitant to purchase the grey color, but against my dark , sage green house , it blends in , which was a bonus. One thing about having the lower hose at the bottom, which I like, gives me more flexibility for use and able to drain the barrel. But, it and the faucet can get gunked up , so I do have to about once a year in the spring, empty the barrel and flush out. But that is the case with any rain barrel, so not a deal breaker. I was able to get this on sale , so fit the budget.
It’s exactly what I wanted. And it is not an eyesore. I would have given 5 starts except the Bibb on the bottom is plastic and the threads were partially stripped.
Worked great, but be aware that water will slowly flow out, there’s no water pressure to force it out, so just expect a drizzle when using the water.
This is my go-to for plants far from a spigot. It’s incredibly sturdy, remains functional and low maintenance 7-8 months a year in W PA.. I don’t plant in the top because I prefer it remain one of those functional but “invisible” patio structures. It’s got great features. It’s easy to manipulate for use , service and storage.
Not great/ hose at bottom didn’t fit properly and top can’t be removed for cleaning like another model we purchased
Perfect size and love the look in our garden.
I ordered 4 of these 65 gallon Algreen rain barrels. The barrels themselves were fine. One of the barrels, however, is missing the parts kit (spigots, hose, etc). I’ve tried multiple times to reach the company - email and phone - and have received no reply. The barrel is useless without these parts, so I went ahead and ordered the parts kit from the Algreen website. Almost $25 for the parts. And an outrageous $25 for shipping.
I never received the hose attachment. I reached out to the company and did not receive a response.
[Rewarded Review] Happy to save water!!
I love this for my yard! I love that I can collect water and it looks like a huge pot. It goes with the xeriscape look of my yard ! Very happy with this product and love how sturdy it is!!!
Poorly designed/packaged
My friend is still attempting to assemble this item for me after three tries. Hose clamp is the wrong size. The hose won't tighten at the bottom. Faucet provided is male as is the spot where it's supposed to fit on the rain barrel.
So pretty and perfect on our deck
Just what I needed!
Decorative water barrel
Very nice water barrel
I had ordered these as a replacement for my previous rain barrels that were mismatched. They arrived two days before mandatory water restrictions hit Calgary Alberta because of a broken water main. Having these two rain barrels, plus the old ones I put in the back yard saved my garden. They are not just stylish, but very useful and work great!!!
I love it! Just as described!
it serve my purpose.
