These lamps are great for general room lighting and for task lighting since you can reorient the shades. I plan on adding a dimmer switch, but for now when I want less light I just unscrew one of the bulbs, lol. They're stylish and look more expensive than they really are - the large wood finials are a great mid-century modern touch and add a bit of warmth against the deep matte black of the poles and shades.

The lamp is lovely and just as pictured. However, it is nearly impossible to assemble. The cord that runs through the length of the pole pieces has too much slack and cannot be pulled down through the entire length of the lamp to tighten it. To get the top piece on you have to painstakingly coil and shove the extra length of cord up into a space that is too small to contain it. I almost couldn't get the final piece of the pole assembled.

The lamp is well made, easy to assemble, packed extremely well and arrived within 4 days of placement of order.

Looks much better in person than in picture. Not the most high quality material that I've purchased from Wayfair, but does the job, good light, and sturdier and nicer looking than picture.
