[Rewarded Review] This is about as nice of a bathroom fan as you can get.

This is about as nice of a bathroom fan as you can get. It expels plenty of air quietly and gives you several lighting options. If you use the switch they recommend you get even more features. It's easy to install, but if you want all the features available, you will probably have to do some additional wiring, which may not be easy. • Air is pulled from the 4 sides of the light so it's hard to tell how much air is being moved from the inside. I have mine exhausting out of a soffit vent and from outside you can tell that plenty of air is being exhausted. This was even after blowing open the door on the fan, traveling 25 feet through a duct that twists and turns a good bit before making it to the soffit, and then opening the spring-loaded door on the outside. I'm impressed. • My situation was installing in existing construction. My existing hole was slightly larger, but that gap was easily fillable. This new light fixture is large enough (11" x 11") to cover the entire hole, so filling the gap did not have to be pretty. To install you will remove the fan motor assembly from the metal housing. You then attach the much easier-to-handle housing to a joist. • Even though I have attic access, it was much easier to attach the housing to the joist from inside the housing while staying inside the bathroom. I attached the fan housing and replaced the fan assembly with no problems. The physical installation of the fan could not have been easier. • As for the wiring the instruction shows quick connects whose type I don't see working with the soft stranded wires this fan/light has. I had to use quick connects that have a lever that clamps down. Most bathrooms in existing construction have two switches like mine. One for the light and another for the fan. This fan has 2 lights. One light to illuminate the room, and another as a night light. If you want to control those lights separately and do not have wiring for 2 lights in your existing situation, you will have to run another hot wire from the switch to the fan. I wanted to control my existing vanity light and this new bathroom light separately, so I had to run 2 additional hot wires. Quite often bathroom switches are on a load-bearing wall down a hall that will probably have horizontal studs across the vertical ones like mine. It is possible to run wires through these walls without cutting the sheetrock, but most DIYers would have problems. • No switch is included, but it is something you have to consider when purchasing this fan. Based on the features you want available, the wiring you can work with, and how many gangs your outlet box has, you need to consider getting a switch to help with the operation. Akicon recommends, and I now use, the model 1390 switch. Along with being able to control the fan, light, and night light all in one outlet gang, it adds a fan timer and automatic humidity control. I had ordered Akicon's switch AK-SW-FLDN before my fan arrived. That switch works great too. With it, you will lose the timer, humidity control, and a way to easily switch from controlling the light to night light, but it does add a dimmer and that switch is lighted. I like this fan and my control of it.

[Rewarded Review] Attractive product with the fan/light/nightlight all combined in one unit.

One of our bathrooms never had an exhaust fan and I after seeing some humidity damage on the ceiling paint, I decided to get an exhaust fan before repainting the ceiling. I chose the Akicon fan as it combined additional lighting and a convenient nightlight along with the exhaust function. I also bought the Akicon multi-switch for controlling the unit. Because of the proximity to my current outlet box, I was able to use that for powering the exhaust fan. The 3 power leads for the fan/light/nightlight are well labeled and the switch has the same markings so matching them was easy. The only point that was not clear, was the need to combine all the white (neutral) leads on the fan to the one white lead on the switch. I picked us some code approved Wago connectors from my local Home Depot, which made connecting them much easier than with wire nuts. You will need to get a separate 4” ducting hose for venting to the outside. The exhaust fan works well and is much quieter than a unit I have in another bathroom. By using the Akicon switch, all the functions, like dimming the lights, are easy to control, making this combination a good choice. I liked the fit and finish of the unit and would recommend this for your bathroom.

[Rewarded Review] Exhaust Fan 80 CFM, Dimmable 3CCT Led Light with Night Light

I installed this Akicon exhaust fan with lights in our master bathroom, it replaced our existing exhaust fan. We are starting our bathroom remodel soon and needed a exhaust fan that also had a light for our shower enclosure.

[Rewarded Review] Easy replacement

I got this vent fan and light combo, to replace an existing vent fan in my bathroom that does not have a light. The shower area is pretty dark, so I felt like the two in one option was better. Since I was just replacing the old dusty one, the installation is pretty easy. The duct work to the outside of the house is already there. The hardest part is reconnecting the hose. All in all, pretty simple.

[Rewarded Review] Very fancy and modern exhaust fan light

Very well packaged product, installation was fairly easy, my existing fan was old and very loud, this one is very quiet, I love all the options for the light intensity from 2700K to 5500K LED

[Rewarded Review] Vents well and give great light

This exhaust fan looks really great with my updated bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet it is compared. It vents the room really well and puts out a lot of light. I like the 3 light modes. One is more of a daylight look. The other is antique white and the third is a shade in between. The installation is fairly simple and can be done with no assistance. The only problem I ran into is that the new exhaust requires a bigger tube than the old one so I had to buy a new tube.

[Rewarded Review] Good fan/light for new construction, not so much for a remodel.

I installed this fan/light into an existing bathroom that didn't have a fan. The installation was fairly simple and the instructions were easy enough to follow. That said, the instructions used decimal of an inch instead of fraction which made converting the dimensions a bit harder than they needed to be. I got around this by tracing the metal box on the ceiling and cutting out that size. I opted to not use the nightlight feature as I have only one existing switch and I was not going to change the wiring to accommodate a switch with multiple functions. The instructions do not mention it but for a single switch where both the fan and light come on at the same time, they both get wired into the same leads from the switch. The fan is fairly quiet and it does move a good amount of air. This will definitely help keep the moisture down in the bathroom. The LED light is bright and helps to brighten up the bathroom. Overall, it seems like a good fan/light but I with the instructions were a bit clearer with the dimensions and wiring options. They seem to promote their switch in the instructions which has all the functions this fan has. That would be great for new construction or where the wiring between the fan and the switch can be easily replaced but for a remodel, that's not usually practical. Due to that, for a remodel, I wouldn't probably recommend this fan.

[Rewarded Review] Suitable and stylish lighted fan

I installed this exhaust fan in silver in my master bathroom and am very happy with the style, the bright light and quiet motor. It replaced an existing construction fan by the builder and had a 3" duct which then needed a 4" reducer to complete installation. I also needed to purchase duct tape to complete the duct work. The installation was a struggle due to metal tabs on the outside of box that were not needed, so removed. I also struggled with the grill fitting snug against the ceiling. The grill is a thin plastic which looks great, but not good quality. The fan does the job, but wanted more power for ventilation. I would recommend for a small bathroom. The installation is intermediate to advanced job, be prepared if trying to do yourself. A use and care guide is included, which had good instructions with illustrations.

[Rewarded Review] Unbelievably Quiet!!

This Bathroom ceiling light with exhaust fan, and night light is everything you ever wanted in a bathroom exhaust fan and then some. First of all when I finished installing it I thought I had made a mistake somewhere in the wiring, I had to climb up the ladder to make sure it was working properly and it was working perfectly fine. Unbelievably quiet I honestly must say. The fixture itself is simple and beautiful the silver matches the walls and the light itself changes in color, you can set the mood as you wish and the night light can be turned on by itself, you can see your way easily through the night. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to install the wiring is clearly labeled for your convenience! I seen in the instruction that a 3 toggle switch is recommended so obviously I went and purchased one that made a world of difference wired a switch just for the fan another for the light and the last one for the night light of course the bottom one so the little ones can reach. I can’t believe how amazing this exhaust vent is and looks worth giving it a shot I highly recommend it!

[Rewarded Review] Sharp looking bathroom light and fan

This bathroom light and fan looks even better than I expected. It’s such a simple upgrade to a bathroom that makes a big impact. I like how this one has a nightlight option (I installed it in my kids bathroom), and allows for 3 different color shades. It’s also very easy to change the color…you simply flip the switch in a quick pattern to change it (pretty wild). The fan sucks air in from the sides, which will help prevent dust from accumulating. I replaced an old fan so I appreciate how this one has a good size light surface area, which allowed me to cover the entire existing hole in the ceiling. I installed from my attic because I had to remove my old one, but it does have an option to install without accessing the attic. If you can install a light fixture, you can install this yourself. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I do wish the unit had a bigger housing for the wires, but I was able to slide them in fairly easily. Overall, I would recommend this bathroom light/fan. It’s easy to install, has some cool features, and looks sharp.

[Rewarded Review] Does the job

This bathroom ceiling vent fan does the job it's meant to do. It came well packed and was easy to install. The noise level is average and it adequately sucks the steam out of the room. The trouble is that it is, like everything else these days, just plastic. The frame around the square light is not a brushed metal, but just gray plastic. I would definitely like it better if it were a nice metal and looked a little bit more high quality.

[Rewarded Review] Basic fan, more suited to new construction. Not recommended for joists less than 2" x 8" height

Product seems to be adequate quality but there were a few caveats with installation. My installation had exactly the space vertically of 2" x 6" joists. Fortunately the original fan (Which was installed from above before the roof was placed.) left a larger hole in the ceiling than this unit required. It would be impossible to install this unit using the instructions provided. As it was I had to bend the side wings about 45degrees as the unit would not fit. They should have been designed as a separate part to install if needed only on new construction. The cavity for the electrical wires was way too small to fit anything in there. I had to make the connections outside of the unit and tape with regular wire nuts. Your instructions show quick connect devices for the wires, they did not exist in the kit. (See photo) Additionally the unit is too tall to fit into the space available, it is sticking down about 5/16" below the ceiling, requiring me to manufacture a frame around the fixture to fill in the gap and make it look good. Airflow is a bit weak but this bathroom is not used very often. The outlet on the unit to fit the duct was sized wrong. too big to fit into the pvc adapter connected to the duct. The original fan output duct was slightly smaller in diameter.

[Rewarded Review] Great looking fan but a little disappointed

Packing and instructions are great, it is protected very well to prevent damage and the instructions are very clear and batter then expected. The look i think is great!! Nice and modern with a large and well balanced light that does not have any dim or bright spots. It also does have a great night light option that can be used with an independent switch or tired together. Unfortunately I did find some downsides to it first with being this light is deigned more so for new installations as they have wings that extend past the housing that have to be bent or cut off to slide the housing in for a remodel. Next is a 2 step problem, due to the outlet location being so close to the base of the housing it cannot sit close to the drywall if you have strapping or a piece of wood there from a repair. The issue with this is be causing of how the light support rods are designed if the housing it not close to the drywall the light support rods will not pull the light tight to the ceiling and it will just hang there. It took quite a bit more work to make it work then expected.

[Rewarded Review] This is ‘Fan’-tastic!

I installed this fan, LED light and night light combo 2 weeks ago and it is so quiet and cost efficient! It has a 4” exhaust and exchanges air at 80 CFMs. That is a full 25% improvement over the previous fan. This larger flow means less time needed to run, so we choose their recommended humidity and timer switch. It goes on when the shower creates too much humidity (you can set the percentage of humidity on the switch) and goes off on its own saving electricity. The two lights are impressive also. You can quickly and simply adjust the main LED light color temperature from 2700k, to 4000k and 5500k. The third feature, the separate night light, provides a warm 3.5 watt glow on the ceiling. This was a replacement and not a new install of the fan. This presented two installation challenges, adding a third hot wire from the switch to the unit and gaining access and swapping out the 3” 20’ exhaust hose. With patience, both install challenges were solved and we are very pleased with the outcome.

[Rewarded Review] Nice LED light exhaust fan with large light surface to cover any gaps from previous opening

Package arrived with no damage. I installed this exhaust fan in my guest bathroom. As you can see in the product picture there is an external flange to attach the unit to a ceiling joint, which necessitates installation access from the attic side. The LED light clips into the unit on the inside ceiling and is about eleven inches square to cover any gaps from the previous fixture opening. The LED light wire clips into a wire supplied in the unit.

[Rewarded Review] Space saver

Our tiny house build isn't ready for the vent yet so I have not tested it. Out of the box this appears to be exactly what we need. We like the fact that the LED has 3 different color options! We have a LED mirror that also has color options so this will pair nicely. Different fan speeds is always a plus. If you're looking to save space over traditional lights, this should be a good choice.
