The Perfect Pergola

I bought this pergola in June 2023 to attach to our second level deck (above walkout basement) so we could hang a projector screen, speakers & lights while also providing shade and visual appeal. I shopped high and low for something simple, modern and with clean lines, made of strong, durable metal that would fit our somewhat small deck ~10x15. In a perfect world I would have loved to find the same pergola in 9.5x13 so we could have attached it from one end to a couple feet short of the other end leaving space for the smoker & BBQ, with a weather proof louvered roof bbbbuuutttt they cost a fortune and generally were too large so onto the next. When I came across this beauty I immediately when and measured my deck to see how it would fit and where would be the best placement. After many hours planning, making sure I found patio furniture & a fire table that would match in style and fit underneath, days humming and hawing I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the pergola and panels. A day or 2 later I got a call from a lady at Barrett to discuss my panel selection. She saw I live in Alberta 15 mins south of Calgary and that we can get a lot of snow in the winter! She explained that if we planned on leaving the roof panels on during the winter we should select a different style panel that would allow snow to pass through more easily as to not put too much weight and pressure on them and the hardware. She gave me her recommendations and told me of several more styles that weren’t yet available on the Home Depot site but were available substitution options. Says 8 x 8 it is really 9' x 9'

Can you please label your size correctly in the title? Says 8' x 8' it is really 9' x 9'. Very annoying! I need something that is 8' x 8' x 8'

Actual Dimensions are 9 ft. x 9 ft. !!!!

This looks like it would have been a nice Pergolas if the dimensions were advertised correctly. Please note this is not 8 ft by 8 ft !!!

Very versatile

Very easy to install. Sleek looking. Contemporary. Great clearance height wise above our spa

No printed instructions

Super easy to setup, no instructions in the box you have to get them online. A decent smart phone works fine. You must have at least two folks. We did it with three and that was good.
