This is absolutely gorgeous and extremely well built aviary. Definitely not cheap stuff here.

Perfect home for my bird

Love love love this. Very sturdy and an amazing home for my African grey, and the curved corners makes it a little prettier. My bird prefers to be in here rather than out and about some days. It has no floor and since I keep it inside I’ve had to experiment with the flooring. I ended up ordering a custom made piece of plexiglass (65”x65”) that I can wipe clean and vacuum easily. This way you can actually see the flooring underneath, but it’s protected, which is less of an eyesore than paper would be. I first tried a mat like you see at gyms and covered that with paper but he quickly learned to move the paper and destroy the mat. I figure if you can afford this aviary, you can probably afford the plexiglass. Plus it’s easy to clean and you will save money on anything that you’d have to throw away and replace.

The aviary is nice but it doesn't come with instructions. Here are my instructions: There are only two kinds of bolts. The fat bolts are actually the feet. Add felt to them if you want to move the cage easily. Make sure that large holes are on the bottom of the cage when you put together the sides. That is the only thing you must pay attention to. Then you put the small sections on the top that holds the roof. Then put on the roof. The nest box door and feeder can go on anytime after sides are up. You'll need help putting on the roof because it is all one piece. There are a lot of screws and it just takes time. A few of the screw inserts had popped out but we just gently hammered them back in before assembly.

great aviary BUT impossible to put together

The aviary is beautiful IF it arrives intact (mine arrived very damaged) and IF you are able to put it together.

It's junk

Just got this today and the box was messed up and so was the door frame 1 of the keys is broke and nothing lines up. Not cool for the price I paid. I will not order from petco again

More information needed from petco

petco does not seem to offer very much detailed information regading the bird cages that are sold? Does petco not want you to know what you are buying? Macaws can destroy a beautiful weak bird cage in minutes. There are powerful enough to bend metal and break spot welds. This is why I refuse to purchase a bird cage online. Provide more information.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful Aviary for a bird room

We bought this a few weeks ago, and it looks great in our baby Green Winged Macaw's room. we haven't moved her in yet, but we're slowly getting her used to it. This will be her enclosure when we aren't home. We're hoping it will stand up to her soon to be powerful beak. I did 4 stars because i'm not sure how sturdy this thing will be yet. There's no instructions, but it comes with 3 copies of a picture of the aviary. Once you organize all of the panels, it was easy to assemble. One suggestion for assembly I would make is, make sure the corners are the correct side up. If you don't pay attention to the direction of the corners, you might miss that one end has the holes for the top corner caps. Otherwise, pretty straight forward assembly.

AAA+ Very well done indeed

I am very impressed with the engineering that went into this AAA+ Brilliant and genius work. One suggestion, include a longer straight Allen wrench..That may be inserted into a drill and used as a drill bit. The smaller one takes way to long.. (I modified a longer one by sawing off the bent end)..

Work in progress

We are just starting to put this thing together. No instructions came with the cage. The A and E Cage Co emailed us some instructions, but they really were near useless. Some instructions that are helpful would be nice after spending quite a bit of money on this cage. I am starting to think that it might have been better to hire some more practical and mechanical engineering oriented person(s) to put this thing together.

Great looking aviary

This aviary is very nice, it's sturdy,easy to clean,It take 2-3 people to put together. but worth it.I got the sand colored one ,very pretty.

I have two hyacinth macaws and they are enjoying this cage it's a perfect size to house around 4 macaws its sturdy enough hyacinths are know for very strong beaks and this is perfect must buy for macaws or any other birds has a lot of space for toys perch etc hope you buy worth every penny.

you roll the dice

I bought the 83 x 61 inch aviary. It came in three boxes and weighs a total of 300 lbs. the photo shows one door in the front of the cage, they send me two front panels and no back panel .and two left side panels and no right panel so my cage now has two doors, one in front and one in the back . This caused one side panel to not be able to be screwed together properly, I had to drill some holes to actually bolt it up. so I have two left panels and two front panels. Also there were no instructions so if you buy one make sure the big screw holes on the bottom rails face the ground and the smaller screw holes on the top rail face the top or you won't be able to bolt the roof on. It's 300 lbs so by the time you unwrap it and get get it half together you won't want to send it back . they gave me a $100 refund . It's really a nice cage .it will take two people several hours to assemble. If I had got the correct boxes (not two front boxes) it would have been perfect . I still like it. Hey stuff happens ,what you gonna do.
