I purchased this mantle because I owned one in a previous home and know the quality. I was a little disappointed that the color isn’t as gray as the item represented in the listing, mine has a bit of a brownish gray tone to it. Also Pearl Mantles inlays a Mother of Pearl dot on the side to represent their trademark and I am disappointed in the look of the MoP in my mantle, it is not as pretty as the one I owned previously.

This mantle goes perfect with my fireplace and stone! It’s made from real wood and seems well made.

Overall the mantel was well made. I was disappointed with the color. I expected more of a grey appearance based on the description and pictures. Unfortunately the mantel was more brown with grey undertones. I will now have to

The description makes this seem like this is 100% wood. It doesn’t seem like it and is a different color then pictured. I wound up using it because of timing however given more time I would have looked for something more suitable .

Nice quality mantel. pretty much what I was expecting. I liked the finish. Kinda pricey but worth it. Don't care for the pearl insert. But they also give a ethnicity certificate copy. Packaging was really good at protecting it. Shipping time, satisfactory.

Nice taupe color.

The mantel arrived damaged, but Wayfair sent a replacement out quickly. It is nice and sturdy. The wood has a nice variation of color in the grain. I have ordered Pearl mantels before for other houses and have never been disappointed. It is a quality brand.

This mantle is not as weathered or greyish as photo implies. It is a much warmer medium brown with reddish undertones. I hope this helps someone else not to make the same mistake. Unfortunately I can no longer return it because of delays in remodel and not being able to check it's color with the new finishes sooner, so I missed the 30 day window. A very expensive mistake.
